Default Debating between these computers...
Hi everyone, I need some advice on which of these are a better choice to buy. I want to be able to play the Sims 3 and all the expansions as smoothly as possible. I'm also hoping that the computer will play Sims 4 when it comes out but the specs aren't out yet.

Computer 1

HP Pavilion 500 Desktop PC
Intel Core i5-4570 / 1TB HDD / 8GB RAM / Windows 8
Processor Speed 3.20 GHz
Cores 4
Graphics Card AMD Radeon HD 8570

Computer 2

HP Pavilion 500
AMD A10-6700 / 1TB HDD / 8GB RAM / Windows 8
Processor Speed 3.70 GHz
Cores 4
Graphics card AMD Radeon HD 8570

Computer 3

ASUS M51 Desktop Computer
AMD FX-8300/ 1TB HDD/ 8GB RAM/ Windows 8
Processor Speed 3.3 GHz
Cores 8
Graphics Card NVIDIA GTX650

These computers are within the same range in price so that is not an issue.

Any help would be really appreciated.

If you have the option to get Windows 7 and I would get the 3rd one.

The info I can find on the 8570 card is http://www.techoftomorrow.com/2013/...-graphics-card/
It shows that the 8570 can come with a memory bandwidth of 28.8 to 72GB/s where the GTX 650 has 80GB/s memory bandwidth, there is no way to tell what you will get with the AMD HD8570.

What ever you get you will be more happier with Windows 7.

Thanks a lot for you feed back. These are prepackaged computers so it comes with windows 8... I'm sure I can have someone change that in the future if it's a problem.

Some people are able to run the Sims 2 on Windows 8. Some people have never been able to get it to work. If you can get the computer with Windows 7, I would recommend it. However, if you can't, there's a possibility that you will be able to get Sims 2 running on Windows 8 without too many problems.

You might want to check out some of the Windows 8 threads before making your decision. Here's one:

Ah. I haven't heard of any specific problems running Sims 3 on Windows 8, so marka93's advice about Windows 7 may not be relevant.
