SS pool - odd shapes...:D
In my fool-around the new SS swim-pool tool...
Users were finally let use the cursor to point at the pool tiles and wallpapers as in levels above ground.
Yet, the cursor won't work when some grids are reserved by the pool accessories like the slide and ladder and diving board.
Also, the blue tints from the water depth layers are "bluish-ing" the tiles a lot (pooltilechange.jpg).
I've noticed there're some limitations on how the quarter-circular swim-pool tool.
It's a disappointment it can't work like the block and the diagonal block. Yet, i've some odd shapes
(poolSS-.jpg )...
But, the price for the odd shapes is that the back of the curved pool walls is invisible!
(poolSS-eg1.jpg & poolSS-eg2.jpg)
It's been tested for a lot reload that the "ground" and the "brokeback"-curved swimpool-wall remain since made.
The swimming animations followed by the diving board or the slide are amazing... and one can see how the pool surface layer has changes in the vibration pattern, from a high height value down to a low one...
That's pretty cool...
Yet, unfortunately..., the pool caustic animation is broken or omitted in the lower end video card...
I used to have it in NL and OFB and TS2... They could have set the older ones as fallback for higher compatiblity for hardwares...
Anyone wanna share more your experiences for the SS new swimpool tools?
