Default Help buying good laptop for sims 3?
Hello, I'm looking to buy a new laptop....

Right now I have a HP Pavilion dv6500 with Windows 7.... It's really laggy and freezes my game constantly...

I found this laptop and I don't know if the sims 3 would actually run on it.

HP Pavilion 15z-n200 Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)
Operating system Windows 8.1 64
Processor and Graphics AMD Quad-Core A4-5000 Processor + 1GB AMD Radeon™ HD 8670M Discrete
Display 15.6-inch diagonal HD BrightView LED-backlit Display (1366x768)
Memory 8GB DDR3 System Memory (1 Dimm)
Hard drive 500GB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
Office software No Additional Office Software
Security software Security Software Trial
Primary battery 4 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
Primary optical drive SuperMulti 8X DVD +/- R/RW with Double Layer Support
Networking 802.11b/g/n WLAN[1X1

It has to be able to run all Sims 3 Expansion Packs and Stuff Packs as well as mods and CC... And it'll be perfect if it would be able to run with high settings.
Sooo does it work? If you guys have something better, please give me a link. Thanks!

What country are you buying from? What's your budget? Does it absolutely have to be a laptop?

The HP Pavilion 15z-n200 Notebook PC you found isn't good for The Sims 3.

I'm in the USA. I would prefer something less than $600. I need a laptop because I'm still a student and I need something that it will be easy to carry and work on, not just at home or plugged to a bunch of cables... You get me?

Low price laptop will not play the Sims games very well, If you need a laptop and you want to play games on it you will need to get a gaming laptop and they go from 1200 to over 2k for good ones. Around 900 on sale.

Yeah. You'll have to either lower your expectations or increase your budget.

Or buy a desktop, in which case you'll still need to lower expectations or increase budget, but not by nearly as much.

That thread is very, very optimistic about performance. A 525M, for example, being used to play TS3 with all EPs, is not going to last long at all.
