Help picking a computer to run both the Sims 2 and Sims 3
Okay so I'm mainly looking for a computer to hold all my Sims 2 games and the Sims 3. I've bought 3 different computers and each time their not strong enough to hold the Sims 3, so for Christmas I want a computer strong enough for all the Sims 2 games (which I already have) and all the Sims 3 games (which I'll purchase). I live in the United States and I'm going to use my old keyboard, monitor, and mouse, My budget is between $800-$1,200 since I'll probably have to go that high in order to run both games with all expansions effectively.

Do you know how to build one or do you need it already built.
This one will play even Sims 4 when it comes out.

Do not buy anything from CyberPower or iBuyPower. They sell computers made of used parts which fail quickly, and don't honour warranties.

But TigerDirect does honour the warranties.

Good plan - the specs are fine, it's just the brand I'd avoid. You didn't say whether you're looking to buy or build, but building would save you some cash.

I really wish I could, but I would totally fail at specifically picking out what I would need in the computer. I don't know much about the video card or anything like that. The only thing I know about picking out computers is ram.

Go here http://www.dell.com/us/dfh/p/desktops?~ck=anav and click either "Performance" "Gaming" or "Space Saving" click on Gaming and chose "Alienware X51" with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 555. At time of posting it was $849 which leaves you room to up grade the card if you want to.
Now these go fast and may not be there at the time you look for it. You want to look for any of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 plus, 650 + and so one to play Sims 2, 3 and 4 with no slow down.

Here's an alternative to consider:
Follow the links below to US.NCIX.COM and add the parts I've listed below to your cart. They will assemble the computer for you, install the OS, and ship it to you. Its performance will be better than the stock Alienware X51 in every way and there's no fiddling needed.
Total 9 items: $1,000.25 + tax
edit: If you want a DVD or blu-ray drive I can find one and add it too.
