Thanks for that link..and if you explore more on that site, you can find some really inspiring ideas for building & furnishing a pixel's house.

Lazy Duchess just responded to my request on her blog and created a mod that gives sims a chance of being rejected for a job when they apply: https://lazyduchess.tumblr.com/post...o-playing#notes

Lowedeus fixed the base game clouds! I'm not sure whether these are compatible with Nopke's default replacement skies.

I'm using Nopke's night sky replacement and I haven't noticed any problems with the clouds.

I didn't think there would be, but I didn't want to say until I'd had time to try it out. Thanks for confirming it.
Lazy Duchess made a global version of the lot clouds so you don't have to manually place a cloud controller on every lot. There's also a "clear sky" mod that will randomly clear the clouds every so often as long as it's not raining.

Speaking of Lazy Duchess, she made a mod that synchronizes the seasons as you play them-by quadrant, day and weather:

"Here’s a small mod that makes neighborhoods and subhoods share the same season quadrant, days into the quadrant and [WIP]weather. Basically, if you play into, for example, the fourth day of winter, every other family will continue from where you left off. This was initially made for a friend to accommodate his playstyle needs, but I thought other people would find it nice too." |

And speaking yet more about Lazy Duchess, I just found she also has a Sims 1-style prank calls mod! I've been wanting something like that forever!

Something to add to my Downloads folder. Thank you, this sounds really cool
When a game is predictable, it's boring.
That goes for any medium that isn't life.
That's why The Sims 2 is my favourite sims game.
It has elements of unpredictability and everything feels more involved.
The Sims 4 is another story altogether...

In my search for better sports attire, I discovered PeachKrysie's Boxing Sportswear: https://www.thesimsresource.com/dow...ims2/id/877214/
What's the point of my sim working out 24/7 if they cover up their physique at the gym with a tracksuit?! :p
Also, while asking for help looking for help in a different thread, I came upon Dizzy's work-deliver3-40-20, which adds a chance for sims coming home from work to bring home groceries or a box of pizza: https://app.box.com/s/c9632f8a99c9cd77fe42 (thanks Essa for the link)

Over at GOS the bi-monthly theme is "In the Limelight & Game Night" where items pertaining to the themes are featured.
CreeSims made a " Thespian's Mark" which will enable pixels to stand and perform either a monologue, or a soliloquy, while gaining charisma skills. Especially useful for those who have actors in their town. 1 or more can stand and do either action, making it look as though there is a play going on.

And the best part is that the mod deducts the cost of either the pizza or the few grocery points (you never get a full fridge, but you get a nice top up and can still run out!) from the sims' funds. It's oddly satisfying for me to see that little cha-ching! |
That sounds terrific! I'll definetely grab it.

@Amura: definitely do! As @terula8 said, it adds such a neat touch of immersion to your playthroughs. And it's also worth mentioning that the mod only lets the sim bring home groceries/pizza if they can afford it, so in theory you shouldn't worry about your sim accidentally making you bankupt.

I use Dizzy's work-deliver mod, but I tweaked it because my poorest sims were bringing home too much food - buying pizza when they could have eaten leftovers, or filling the fridge while they were supposed to be saving for furniture. It was a pretty easy tweak, so if anyone else finds the same, you could have a go.

I mean, at the end of the day, it's no biggie and it won't stop me from playing, of course. I can look past the cars and I can make mailboxes invisible. But the fact remains...the Sims is SO American! Ah, I say this with love, though. |
@didyouevenmakeasound (@ing you in case the quote doesn't work--sorry if you get a notification twice!) Anyway, I just saw your post in the Pet Peeves thread today, and well, I saw that 2FingersWhiskey just released some deco mail slots, so I'd thought I'd let you know. And, because I was sure I'd seen the cars on the other side of the road thing, I did a little search and it turns out Mootilda had made a tutorial to fix this for your lots: How to Drive on the Other Side of the Road (Right-Hand Drive).
At the bottom of the tutorial, there's a tip on fixing hood view: "If you want vehicles to travel on the opposite side of your road in neighborhood view, add the following line to your userStartup.cheat: boolProp carsOnRight false".
I don't think I've ever seen a hack that switches the driver seat and the animations, though.

Hehe, I already did... and one of my Sims already brought a pizza! It's so cool!
I never really make them order pizza, but this "buy food on your way home" option makes so much sense to me!
Right now I'm daydreaming it might be tweaked so students and downtown residents have more chances of takeaway while main hood residents have more chances of grocery shopping.
Might be my own perception of reality but that would be just perfect
PS: I would not mind them going bankrupt. I can be cruel like that

Owh thanks for that, Phantomknight, I knew about the hood cheat but nothing else. Always bugs me as an Aussie that vehicles in-game are on the wrong side of the road.

Ahh, you're a lifesaver lol. I knew about the portal thing (im so lazy...probably not going to bother) and the deco mailboxes but the boolprop cheat is awesome to not, thank you!

Default replacement bottom textures for your ponds by simsantoinc. Choose from mud, river rock, or sand.
https://simsantoinc.dreamwidth.org/6066.html
EDIT: Be aware that ponds will look quite a bit different in Neighborhood View and this may take some getting used to. In my game they're a sort of pale green color from Neighborhood View.

Thanks to that, I finally made my crystal house and not one of my walls has a sharp corner on it. That whole set is fun to build with.
