Photoshop CS2 Help. [URGENT!]
*I apologize if this thread isn't meant to be here, but i couldn't think of a better place. *

Hi everyone,
i'm just getting frantic and need some help.
It's kinda urgent, too.

When i opened up CS2 just now,
i created a New picture/thing.
But when i tried to use the Brush/Stamp/Gradient/etc,
it didn't work.
If i put my mouse over the picture,
the cursor shows the white hand,
NOT the brush/whatever.

I tried again with Opening a photo, same thing happened.
I got out of PS and tried again and again,
but it won't work.
If i right-click, it comes up with Fit on Screen, Actual Size, etc.
I can't do anything about my problem,
and it's driving me crazy.

Please, please, PLEASE.
Can anyone help?

My friend had problems like this with Photoshop once. They ended up just having to uninstall/reinstall. Do you have this option? It may simply be the quickest fix for you. I'm afraid I don't know much about trouble shooting Photoshop. I've never had to personally deal with one that wasn't working properly.

Callistra - Although i have to cringe at the word "uninstall", thanks for your advice! I'm not sure, as the laptop is my Dad's... I may have to ask him if he had the same problem before once he gets home.

I'm really annoyed though.
Today was supposed to be a busy day, PS-wise. :D

Hey, don't do anything too drastic yet! I don't know about your keyboard, but this happens to me often- and it's usually because a key is stuck down. Try just tapping your keys like ctrl, alt, shift, fn, all those tool keys, to try and get them unstuck... if that doesn't help then yeah try something else.

Enders - Thanks! But..

IT's WORKING AGAIN! :D

Yayyyy. I just opened up a random file. (It actually said Be Random!) And it suddenly worked again! *squeeeeeeeeaaaaaaal*
Thanks to both of you for the help, i'm very happy to have old Photoshop back.
