I have been wanting this since my teen boy best friends fell madly in love with each other when one invited the other to eat over and proceeded to chuck some boiling hot chili con carne at his buddy. This was not the desired outcome! ...Now we can have food fights in peace! hahahha

Great mod! I've always thought that food fights were the opposite of 'love'. Also kinda insulting, to be precise. Only EA would make it more acceptable.

LOL falling in love over a food fight??? Seriously?? I didn't even know that was an issue in the game until I saw this mod. I will definitely be putting this to use. Thanks for the fix.

I have wanted this for years, thanks! If you could make a mod that turns the "steal a bite" and "feed a bite" interactions non-romantic as well it would be perfect! (Maybe it's a cultural thing, but I don't see those interactions as necessarilly romantic.)

Honestly... i'd better be MADLY in love with someone if they were going to try to steal food off my plate... Otherwise, they'd get a fork in the eye. hahaha... and i cant imagine a scenario where I'd reach across the table and stick a spoonful of my dinner in my friend's mouth. That'd be creepy! hahah

Nice, thanks! Could you make one for classic dancing too?

I suppose this mod isn't quite what you're looking for? http://modthesims.info/d/606587/cla...tic-social.html

That's why I said it's probably is a cultural thing. In my country the "let me taste your food" thing (the "steal a bite" interaction) is not necessarily romantic, even children do that to their parents and vice versa. But, thinking about it, the "feed a bite" is indeed creepy in a non-romantic way considering it's your own fork/spoon, if it was your friend's fork/spoon I would consider it pretty normal...

Yeah, I saw that one, but it doesn't remove the romanticness for non family members.

Oh seriously doing the happy dance for this mod!!! This has always bothered me as I see this as a sibling type of interaction not a romantic one.

Is it weird that I have never ONCE seen Sims do this in the 5-6 years I've had this? Now I have to see it for myself

Until I downloaded this mod, food fights hardly ever happened. Now they happen at least once per meal shared by two or more sims.
I think food fights should not only be non-romantic, they should be restricted to Teens and below - they're the ones who think it's funny. Not adults, and especially not adults in a committed relationship.
(Well, maybe Mean Sims would think it funny too. But that may be one test too many.)

Messed up the post, and deleted it before I thought of what I really wanted to say. SimPE doesn't show how to set who throws food, how often, or under what circumstances. So is it possible to stop the food throwing altogether?

Yes, it's possible, but you couldn't do it by editing this mod. The easiest way to do it would probably be to extract the pie menu for this set of interactions - group 0x7F1FCAC0, then untick all the boxes for the throwing food interaction, so that no age group is allowed to choose it anymore.

Huh. Well, that's a little clearer, and I think there are "pie menu" instructions in one or another modding tutorial. I'm a total novice at this so I hope I don't mess everything up.

Well, you'd be extracting a copy of the file (open the objects.package for your last EP - probably mansions and gardens or apartment life), searching for that group ID I gave you, right clicking and extracting the right pie menu, then putting it in a brand new package and editing that. So, even if you messed up, you wouldn't be doing any harm to your game files, and you could just try again. If you get confused, let me know, and we can break it down into smaller steps.
