I haven't built a split-level in a while (and it's been requested that I make up a tutorial on it) So, after a year away from building, I thought I better re-figure out how to do it... I think I remember how now. LOL! This split-level is not overly huge. It would be comfortable for a family of three or four (if the 2 kids share a bedroom.) Upstairs has the living room, powder room, kitchen, and dining room - with a back porch that's set up with a grill and patio dining table. Downstairs has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, plus a family room. Fun/Skill objects include a grand piano, easel, chess set, book shelves, stereo, huge TV, a desk for Mr Humble's computer, and there's a beverage bar in the kitchen.
Please scroll through the pictures above to 'tour' the inside of the house and see the floorplan shots.
A quick
NOTE about side-loading garages: be sure to place the house on a corner lot so that the garage makes sense, and, because it is a sideways oriented garage, cars will teleport to the street. (You will not see the car-turning-into-the-driveway animation.)
This is a clean copy of this house/lot; no sim has ever lived here. The package has been cleaned with Mootilda's
Clean Installer. Invisible smoke alarms are over the kitchen stove and the porch grill. The telephone is in the hall outside the kitchen. And, there's a burglar alarm by the front door. Decorations and furniture are included - feel free to change things around to suite the needs/tastes of your sims.
