Simler90 uploaded a disease mod that (among other things) fixed the problem where sims would die of colds, instead of having the cold turn into pneumonia as intended by EA. I wanted this fix without simler's mod, so I am uploading a standalone version here. This mod does not change any disease mechanics other than colds developing into pneumonia.

Hack Compatibility

This is compatible with the "real sickness" mod from MATY, as well as Cyjon's Faster Disease Processing, Frequent Disease Processing, and Less Coughing, and probably most other disease mods that don't change how colds are converted to pneumonia or the basic mechanism of how severity increases. (Note that if you use real sickness, the version of the mod posted in the first post of the thread is broken, and causes sleeping to make sickness worse rather than better. The fixed version of the mod is attached to post #63 of the thread.) If you use simler90's mod, you don't need this one because this fix is already included there. This mod overrides BHAVs 0x1011 and 0x101A in group 0x7F8A70B6.

This is not compatible with the hospital mod. If you use that mod, get Meduza's compatible version posted here .

Game Compatibility

This should be compatible with all game versions.
