Based on a design from a 1908 house catalog, this modest bungalow's style reflects the deep & earthy palettes of the time with a few splashes of bright color here and there. The living room features a breakfast nook, a popular house amenity that has continued into today. The hall has a staircase leading down to an "unfinished" basement - completely empty & unpainted, but ready for any project the new owners want to take on. As there's two bedrooms, a spacious basement creates expansion possibilities for a growing family.

One note on the breakfast nook: when playtesting, sometimes a sim would complain about being blocked while attempting to sit at the table, but would then sit at the table with no issues. All 4 seats at the breakfast nook are usable & functional, so I'm not sure where the path blocking complaint is coming from.

Technically the entrance to the house faces the "non-functional" sidewalk/road, meaning it's basically turned to the right away from the main usable sidewalk/road. This was a design choice shared by the original 1908 house design that I tried to emulate. Having the mailbox & trash can near the porch entrance means visitors will still make it to your front door (wherever those objects sit designate the "stopping point" for visitors & newspapers), it just may be a little longer walk to the carpool.

Using a copy, this lot has been playtested. The uploaded lot has never been occupied by any sims.
