This is not so much a teen career. It's a new school system. You can compare it to the 7 years of Hogwarts I made as 7 teen careers.
But now the teens don't attend Hogwarts. They attend the Belgian School System (Flanders). This career in particular is a study field in Sport and Modern Languages. It's a field you can go to work after high school, but you can still go to college to put more study in this field. I already made many other teen careers for this project, but I decided to upload this one on MTS for the theme Back To School (catchup2019). The career has chance cards for all levels. I explain everything about this School system in this post: https://s2idownloads.blogspot.com/2...ol-project.html I am not really happy with the schoolsystem in game. I mean they have to do homework, but except for a scolarship if they have at least A-, there's not really a point to do homework. I mean they can have A+ and earn a scolarship but have no benefit for the rest of their lives. So I am really busy working on several (really a lot of) teen careers in which they can choose different fields of study to earn skills that can help them get a (skill) scolarship, at college and in their future careers (also when they don't go to college). This school project is based on the school system in Belgium as I know it today. I have been to college to become a teacher in high school so I know the school system quite well. I know the schoolsystem in other countries can be very different from the one in Belgium, but as I am creating this for my own game, I want to create it my way. Every field of study (teen career) will focus on one or two skills, but there will be chance cards for all levels so they earn other skills too. The scolarships that can be earned (at least 3): So when the sim is a good student as a child (at least A-) it can apply for a scolarship when becoming a teen and before choosing one of the field of study careers because they have to change to the school "vacation" so they can go to the career in day time. By following the field of study career, it's necessary to "promote" to level 3 in the end. For reaching level 3 in a teen career, the teen can apply for a scolarship. When being "promoted" to level 3 in a field of study career, the teen has between 5 and 10 skillpoints for a certain skill depending on the form of education and the field of study that has been chosen. From the moment a teen has 8 or more skillpoints of a certain skill, the teen can apply for a scolarship. And then there's the benefit of having so many skillpoints for 1 or 2 skills when choosing a major. Also they earn a bit of money in level 3 which they can save for college. It's still a lot of work to finish this school project, but as you can read I have put a lot of thought in this idea already. Level 1 Title Sports lvl 1 Description As a young kid you are interested in sports like athletics, gymnastics, swimming,... but also expression is important to you. Well then this is the field of study you need. Work on your body and charisma an you can get really far in college and your future career. Wages $0 Days Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Starthour 9.00 Working hours 5.00 Outfit Everyday outfit Carpool Hatchback Level 2 Title Sports-Modern Languages lvl 2 Description Your brain is challenged because you need to switch between languages several times a day. This is a skill you might need after college when becoming a translator or perhaps journalism. Wages $0 Days Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Starthour 9.00 Working hours 5.00 Outfit Everyday outfit Carpool Hatchback Cooking + 0 Mechanical + 0 Body + 4 Charisma + 2 Creativity + 4 Logic + 0 Cleaning + 0 Friends + 0 Level 3 Title Sports-Modern Languages lvl 3 Description Chosing Modern Languages means regular assessments, through grammar quizzes, class debates, presentations and translations. But you are encouraged to keep on studying modern languages. A language just can't be acquires in a matter of weeks. Wages $125 Days Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Starthour 9.00 Working hours 6.00 Outfit Everyday outfit Carpool Hatchback Cooking + 0 Mechanical + 0 Body + 4 Charisma + 3 Creativity + 2 Logic + 0 Cleaning + 0 Friends + 0 Original icon "https://www.shareicon.net/talk-speak-chat-comic-comment-642571 https://www.shareicon.net/sport-football-157768" There are chance cards for every level: Chancecard descriptions Level 1: The teacher is asking everyone's homework, but you totally forgot! And that's not the first time. So you need a good excuse that the teacher will certainly believe or this will be the third note and that means... detention and punishment at home. So what excuse will you be using this time? "The dog ate my homework." or "My computer crashed when I finished it late at night and I didn't save it." Level 2: When choosing economics it's sort of obvious that your teachers want your class to start a mini corporation. Together with your class it's decided that you're the head of the sales department and you're selling mousepads. You've found a company who wants to buy 1000 mousepads, but they want a discount for such a huge amount. What discount will you give the company for this huge order? Level 3: It's nearly prom night! Boys are really worrying about who to ask (although that's not that hard), but most important they worry about how to ask the girl. Girls have harder problems. They have to decide what to wear and hope the boy they like ask them and not their best friend, because there's the girl code. Anyway you have even another problem. The prom night is on the same day as your pen pal's birthday and they want you to go to their birthday party. Will you go to the prom or the birthday party? Keep in mind - Teens need to change to the "Vacation" school type found here: http://s2idownloads.blogspot.be/201...l-vacation.html - Though teens don't go to regular school and don't make homework, they need to work very hard on their skills. - If you use another school type (like my school in shifts), teens can still go to school. - This is very interesting if you want your sims to go to college, but even when they don't go to college it's good to follow this school system to have some skills already when they start a career. - There's an upgrade for every career suiting the field of study the sim chose. E.g.: Field of study Economics-Math has the upgrade Economy - These careers will all have PTO3 so teens have enough time to work on their skills. - This career asks really a lot of skills from your teen sims. It's best to already have some skill points that are needed for this career. FAQ & Policy (eg PTO) http://modthesims.info/member.php?u=2067321 Then go to my blog.
