This home was built for the 2019 March Speedbuild Starter Home Challenge for the scientist sub-challenge. It originally had a veterinarian station and pet stuff on the lower front room and was intended as a home veterinarian business. The bathroom on the first floor is large enough for a dog washing station. It had a fenced pet yard for patients. I took all that out. You can put it back in if you want a home business.

I also upgraded the cabinets and appliances to new even though they are basic fixtures. I replaced the original, upstairs living area (balcony) with an unfurnished bedroom.

I recommend getting this starter home furnished so you don't have to install fixtures and appliances.



The bathroom is rather nice and large with a separate tub and shower. It has a separate commode room and a skylight over the sink and shower.



The kitchen is spartan with a cheap dining table and chairs, basic fridge, stove, and a microwave. Your sims can nuke their food until they learn cooking skills.

This lot has a large, unfenced yard so you can garden to your heart's content or, convert it back to a veterinarian home business and install pet training equipment in the backyard.



This lot can be built without any game packs except it needs the cinder block windows from Jungle Adventure. The yard has Romantic garden stuff. Originally I had intended to make a water feature on the hillside but it would have overrun the $20,000 Starter Lot limitation.

Quick Guide:

1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.

Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
