Changes to File Uploads on MTS

Hi all,
As part of a larger revamp of the site, I've made the following changes today to the file upload system here on MTS:
- You may now no longer upload split archives (this means archives broken into multiple chunks that *require* every chunk to be able to rejoin, aka blah.zip.001, blah.zip.002, etc)
- Maximum archive filesize is now 250mb to compensate
- A whole bunch of checks are now in place when uploading, including but not limited to:
- Automatic detection of correct files (ie correct blueprints/trayitems, etc)
- Much better metadata detection (for later on)
- Detection of putting a .package inside a zip that's also inside a Sims2Pack

- You can now manually order the sorting of files uploaded
- Errors with uploading are shown better on the file upload screen
Note that perhaps the biggest issue here could be that because of the archive/package detection, if a package is not identified it will not be able to be uploaded. I've gone through the vast majority of TS4 uploads, and many TS2 and TS3 ones, but there may still be some oddities that I haven't pinned down yet. The reason for this is that the system tries to identify which "type" of Sims CC you are uploading - ie an object, a trait, a career, a Lot, recolour, etc. If it's not detected, then errors happen  If you get an Error 103 specifically please reply to this thread or contact me on Discord.

Guidelines++ Is Now Live

Alrighty folks, today I am very happy to announce the public roll-out of a big new update for MTS that we have been working on for.... hoo boy, well over a year now! The rubrics and guidelines systems have been the backbone of our moderation system for a while, and as proud as we are of them, to be honest they were beginning to show its age. It was difficult to navigate, difficult to edit, the rubrics were poorly integrated with the guidelines, and all in all we felt it had become rather unwieldy and was not serving uploaders as well as we wanted.
So, after a lot of staff meetings and hard work, we are now able to switch over to our Guidelines++ system. Built from the ground up, it includes such features as:
- Guidelines and rubrics are fully integrated, all presented together
- Almost all guideline and rubric text has undergone rewrites, sometimes major, to be easier to understand and make the rules more clear
- Guideline text is now integrated directly into queue moderation threads. Click on the ? icon next to guideline name, and it'll pop right up! No more running around to scour the wiki for guidelines
- The examples section of many guidelines offers picture and text examples to illustrate the guidelines
- Built-in tutorials section for some guidelines to help uploaders who need additional guidance
- Rubrics have been simplified by switching to a pass/fail system, rather than the previous star system
How do I navigate and view guidelines in the new system?
There are three different ways. Viewing guidelines by category will show you only guidelines which have a section specific to that category. By upload section will show you all guidelines that apply to uploads in that section. By group will show you all guidelines organized broadly by what aspects ofÂ* moderation they address. December. It's here. The final month of the year. So let's make it a good one! It's about time for another event...
Show us how your simmies are celebrating this time of year! Are they bundling up, drinking hot chocolate by the fire, or getting ready for a party? (At least they can have a good time :rolleyes
Maybe some are just ready for a nice long nap...
Whatever they're up to, let's see your sim pictures below! Snowy or not, we'd love to see some sims having fun! How about showing off your lots decorated and decked out for the holidays, or your sims' holiday family photos!
