I'm wondering if it's possible to see, via spoiler tags, what the PTs looked like..some of my kids are REALLY, REALLY odd looking...moreso than any hybrids I've ever seen.


My Jared accepted the invitation to move into his rich, male alien friend's home and now enjoys every luxury. Parties every day! Plays with every moment he's not drinking, being groped by his best bud or banging on drums. His benefactor wants to marry him, but I will allow that only if Jared also rolls the want. So far, he has only rolled physical interaction wants (play with, make-out, appreciate, woo-hoo with) for his generous, knowledge aspiration, dread pirate alien buddy but no engagement or wedding wishes at this point.

Tarek somehow impressed the headmaster despite a burned pork chop dinner, dirty dishes everywhere and the seemingly perpetual knocked over trash can. He is always fuming mad at someone, I've noticed. The nanny he hired pokes him!

Phil remains blissfully married to his tentacled alien wife, whom he adores with a great passion. She is a good cook. I think he has achieved maximum unfitness..he looks like a pear, but his wife is not repelled by this.

I had to sell Aaron's TV game controller thingy because he was doing nothing but gaming. He does not act much like a . He seems to be more interested in chess, or, when he visits The Great Hall, computer games, rather than interacting with his girlfriend or anyone else, except his . His live-in girlfriend wants to get married but so far, he does not.

The children are all now starting to meet each other on community lots or coming home with after school.

Those pix are kinda small to see certain details but I get the overall impression. I have more questions about the PTs I will put in spoilers for those who don't want to know possible surprises of the PTs.

I have played a lot in Sedona.
All of the four original sims now have grandchildren, are elders and will die soon.

I could post pictures of the offsprings and their spouses, if you want. They turned out... really different.

I would love to see pix.

I am nowhere near that far along. All my kids are still children at the moment.

OK. I took pictures of the families. I have played further. Lol. Aaron, Tarek and Alice passed away so they are missing in the pictures. Some of the sims gave birth to their babies and some of those babies are already toddlers now.

Interesting pix! In Tarek's lineage I definitely see some resemblance to my own result.
Not seeing anything similar to my other results..but then again, maybe my custom default skins and eyes are obscuring the subtler resemblances that may be there.

I'm impressed that you got so far with them. I guess I play slow rotations..my offspring are all still not even teenagers yet. Soon though.
Still observing all the kids and trying to decide on appropriate aspirations for them once they become teens.

Did you send any to college? Did you add any subhoods?

I don't know if it will be possible for me to let any of those men become old enough to die. I'm way too attached to them now.

My Tarek did something I've never seen before in all my years simming. He spontaneously came up to Phil on a community lot when I wasn't controlling him and did some apologetic action, which was accepted by Phil and then they got to talking and now like each other. A ceasefire in the Trashcan War. I like Tarek a lot more now.

All the families now know each other and get along..yay! So cute to see all the kids playing together in the parks I added to the town.

Jared did marry his male alien lover after all.

One night, well after midnight, when Jared was (still!) on the phone with , Tarek came barging into their home and hung out, uninvited. I think it is related to an adult being on the phone with someone's child? Sorta like, "Lemme check out this character who is chatting up my kid."

Phil's tentacled wife is pregnant and he has been promoted a few times.

I built some more community lots ( a casino, for one example) and swapped in some colorful terrain replacements (cliff, terrain, beach). Those aliens were engaging in a vast construction and terraforming project that has utterly transformed Sedona, is how I "explain" it.
I'm considering putting it all up on a simblr, if I get any spare time. I sure have a hella lot of pix.

Well. I don't like playing in college, so none of my sims went to college. Lol.

I'm sorry..I posted a link to my photo bucket account to show pix and when i went to go check my post to be sure the link was correct, i got an alert about a phishing website. Odd. Why would that happen? it was photo bucket..I copied the link myself.

Sorry for the off-topic comment however photobucket has a ton of ads and chances are good it was either a compromised ad server, an ad for something illegitimate (happens sometimes), or a false positive. My entire real-life family has had problems with just viewing their own accounts without a well-tuned adblocking program. You're probably better using the link it generates for each image for "message boards" and putting those links around spoiler tags.

Thanks for feedback jaytee95. I was so annoyed I deleted my photo bucket. I'll find another way to show the large landscape pix I want to show along with the kid pix when I have more time.

To get this back on track, an update: Jared went on a family honeymoon to Takemizu Village and learned the Dragon Legend. I never had a sim learn that before..its pretty neat. He was the only one in his family who kept rolling the want to document everything with photos. I haven't played Sims 2 in a few years..been playing Sims 3 up until a few months ago..but I think they can order photo albums, yes? If so, I'll have him do that.

He and his spouse want to adopt more kids but I have a feeling there might be another alien implantation soon, what with all the reckless, unprotected telescope use in that house. Don't they realize that stargazing REALLY means "Hello up there, I'll be happy to carry to term any children you wish to implant in me!"

I'm on a download binge at the moment because all my kids are about to become teens and I want nice things for them. All of them are having such fun childhoods I am a bit sad to see that part of their lives end.

@blupest Their children can still use their toys you have bought for them.
When they become teens in my game, I put their childhood toys into the inventories. And after they had married and had their own children, those toys came in handy.

Ok, after dealing with way too much RL drama I finally had time to get a way to show my pix. I didn't want to upload them directly here cuz it took me three days to get an avatar to work here for some reason. I also wanted room to properly credit all the custom content I used to transform the neighborhood. There was a lot.

So, I made a tumblr. Link at bottom of post. There are pix of the new terrain colors, the two types of alien enclaves in the town, the skylines, the weird plants the aliens planted, some of the community lots, a few home interiors and of course, pix of the men and all the kids at this point in time just before they become teens.

Its pretty colorful, may not be to everyone's taste..but I enjoy it.

I have a kinda "reformation home" in my version too, but so far all who live in it under the careless supervision of the do-gooder caretaker are a few juvenile delinquent teen aliens and a former courtesan trying to turn her life around plus a load of badly behaved stray animals. The caretaker had a breakdown after one of his charges died and I let him get all those pets as a way to get him back to mental health.

All the kids aged up to teens is my big news. Wow, some "ugly duckling to swan-ish" transformations happened with a few. Or maybe I'm so in love with all these kids that I can't see the ugly in any them anymore?



Sexual orientations not set yet. I tend to leave that alone a bit and see who they gravitate towards, then let them flirt with one of each gender so that they could go either way depending on who they seem most compatible with. I try for high bolt matches as a priority.

In other news, Aaron has two lovers now. He talks about bombs a lot. Not sure what is going on in that man's head. Phil's tentacled wife gave birth and he has been promoted again. Money is so tight in that house that certain criminal activities are being committed in the yard. Tarek lost his job then regained it the next day and the roaches and their disease continue to be a problem. He still has no girlfriend, but his ex moved back with her abusive brother and finally snapped and beat the hell out of him and now SHE is the one instigating most of the brawls there. Phil isn't kicking over Tarek's trashcan anymore but it seems every juvenile delinquent in town is. Always trash outside his house.
Jared bought a Servo from the robot shop in town to help with gardening and cooking so now he can have time for parties around the clock. He is not working yet. His "job" has been making all the friends needed for his spouse's success. A good partnership.

As for my Sedona, unfortunately, I barely have time to play any further. But I'm looking forward to. I'll update you if I make progress.

I started Sedona and so far it's very interesting. Gameplay with 4 sims in the hood is more relaxed from various sized families. I had a few townies pop in and blocked them with visitor controller. As a user of tiny lots, I had a bit of trouble with their houses. Not wanting to build all new houses, I just have one house, placed four copies and recolored everything as a sim moved in. The first two moved in still have money left over to help until they can get jobs.

A few things I hope aren't a problem. Both of these sims had no likes/dislikes at first, they did after awhile. Also, the tombstones (4) are all named '%s'. Will this change to normal at some point? I only went there in build mode and didn't touch them.

Phil was into gaining skills, first tackling the Parenting study skill, then fire. He's quite intent on gaining cooking and logic. Phil likes to look through the telescope and observing the plant life around the hood. He made friends with the other 3 town residents. Usually I bypass the baby stage and didn't realize how tough it is to keep their needs up. Phil has a bit of food and raises most needs often so it's not a problem so far. He did need a nap but energy wasn't low enough so he bought a recliner to not have to go to bed too early. Once he reached his first trimester and switched to maternity, I saved and went on to Aaron Atkins.

Aaron is funny, now that he has made friends with the others, he has wants to dance with Phil. He is also secondary knowledge which immediately had him rolling wants to gain skills. Also using the telescope to look through, he spies on Phil. Aaron will soon be occupied company wise, as a new female is waiting in the bin for a home of her own. Aaron will soon be meeting Lovetta Phinney, hopefully they hit it off.

Yay..another Sedona update from someone else at last! Can you show a front facing pic of Aaron with his makeover? My Aaron is obsessed with chess..in my game he acted more often like a knowledge sim than romance oriented but I don't have the expansion that gives secondary aspirations. He does have Romance sim wants tho, which has led to his new career direction.

My Aaron is currently being..um, pimped out. You can see pix and story in my blog, linked to in signature BUT if you haven't had your men give birth yet, the pix might be spoilerific for you. I just posted a batch in fact this evening. Most recent are at the top,as per usual Tumblr format, older ones follow down. I'm new to Tumblr so it took some getting used to.

My kids ( not saying exactly how many here ) are teens. I play in rotations, each house two days, then on to the next. Lifespan set max, so its taking me a while to get them ready for Uni but I am really having fun with all they get up to.
I really look forward to seeing what happens in your version. Are you making companions for all the men?

I made a blog because i was having problems uploading my pix for some reason and got tired of trying to sort it, also my pix are sometimes big.. the landscapes especially.
The thread kinda died out and i didn't want to be the only one bumping it but I don't want to stop chronicling everything. Some are apparently following my story on Tumblr, so I stopped posting here until now.

I will be happy to discuss and compare anyone's stories, or get feedback on mine, here on this thread.

I don't know how to do the spoiler tabs, so let's hope for the best. I'll try to be vague with any spoilers. Currently, there aren't any townies or anyone in the neighborhood but the guys. There are only 4 houses and the gas station. Having townies flooding the place was a bit odd so I used clean/empty templates.

Because the neighborhood is so isolated, I decided the guys (Phil, Jared, Tarek, and Aaron) couldn't have conventional jobs. They couldn't afford cars! And having a carpool come out to pick them up seemed way too much. Gas prices, ya know? So they'll be getting a little inventive with supporting their households.

I started off with Phil. After fixing up his house and giving him a new outfit, he had an easy 3 days before welcoming his new additions. (I've noticed some Sims have easier/harder pregnancies than others.) During this time, he realized his love of literature and has decided to write a novel. The first of the series is called "My Alien Love" (About a Sim that helps an alien running from capture). It's didn't do great, but Phil believes his second novel will boost sales and his pocket.

The new additions, Kale and Janus, both look like Phil rather than anyone else (hint hint). They're actually the sweetest kids. Very quiet except when they wake up in the morning. Phil took to parenting like a fish to water. His very first rolled want after the birth was to learn Parenting. He accomplished that and is doing rather well.

I visited Tarek next. After another update to the house, Tarek scrambled around trying to find his next career move. Unfortunately, his dream of selling telescopes is no longer possible. He cries every time he's near a telescope. EVERY SINGLE TIME. For a while he tried knitting, but that didn't work out either. So he tried a much safer career move. Beekeeping! He's selling honey over the internet and currently thinking of saving up to buy a little community plot to sell his delicious wares.

His new arrivals earned very normal names, David and John, as the twins don't look too....normal. He's afraid to let them out of the house. He doesn't want the neighbors to know about his kids' oddities.

Jared was up next. He's finally settled down from his wild youth, somewhat. He spends way too much time gaming on his tablet, but he's doing rather alright. Unlike Tarek and Phil, Jared was able to grab a job at the local military base just outside Sedona's isolated valley. Jared is a bit worried about how generous they've been about his upcoming additions. An old retiree even volunteered to be his babysitter when it was time to return to work. Still, it was a job he'd rolled and was happy to have. He's carefully building up a few extra skill points for when it's time to return to base.

His new additions are Sean and Drake. The three of them think about each. A lot. The kids are napping and Jared is thinking about them in his thought bubbles. The boys watch Jared whenever they're awake and in their baby swings or rolling around on the rug (Sean and Drake - especially Drake - tend to get pissed if they were left in the swings too long). Jared's gaming addiction does get distracting, but he's pretty good about the twins. The minute they turned into toddlers, Jared was on the floor playing with them!

I am a bit curious about Sean. He wears pink pajamas and somehow he ended up with custom long hair (didn't know I had that for boy toddlers). And unlike Drake, Sean is very demanding for attention. This poor kid is gonna end up my play toy soon. He just doesn't know it. I have plans for when he's older. Especially as the kids don't look too much like Jared....

The last house was Aaron who had a really rough pregnancy. He could barely stay up a few sim hours before the energy drain had him crawling back into bed. It really put a cramp in his money making plans. Aaron, who believes he was practically a celebrity in his old town, has decided to get into the fashion industry and wants to sell clothes online. He plans to build his own boutique in the future. Unfortunately the pregnancy just took too much out of him. After the twins were born, he was able to bounce up to a bronze sewing badge, so he's making a bit of cash sewing and selling homemade teddy bears.

Aaron was slowly making friends with Tarek (he's practically BFFs with Jared and Phil) when the hellspawn were born. Lucien and Sylven were born and Aaron could barely keep up with them. I could barely keep up with them. Lucien was alright, but Sylven whined and cried and never slept or ate on schedule with his brother. It wore me and Aaron out. Currenlty all the babies are now toddlers, but it didn't make things better when it came to Lucien and Sylven (doesn't help that the brats again don't look like dad with their super huge eyes!). Sylven whined and cried again, while Lucien (ignored for his brother's fit) clogged the toilet. I pray for Aaron. I really do.

So things are a bit chaotic, but normal so far. Aaron is the only one to see someone else's kid. He was visiting Phil when one of the kids wanted attention.

Also, they'll be getting new neighbors soon. And of the them is going to be very strange...

Second time I've played it, this time a business subhood attached to my long-running Strangetown - it needed some new STRANGE. Is ANYONE actually able to play some of these families; some of them are so POOR, and the houses are so small. It was impossible FOR ME to keep everyone ALIVE, never mind the unhappy toddlers! This time I tried something new: I had a cow-mascot playable at a sorority house, she dropped out and became a live-in nanny. Funny, every time she entered a new house, she was wearing her cow costume! More importantly, every time she moved into a man's house, she brought money to rebuilt! I mostly kept the foot-print of each house, but some were just too small for me, and there were routing problems. So the Atkins house just got a complete upper floor. The Lari house also didn't work for me - all those separate boxes but no space for toddlers. And the interesting floor plan of the Spurlock, with the bedrooms only accessible from the outside, caused problems.
My "helper" would show up right when the babies were born, get everyone tucked in, cook a few meals, clean. And then rebuild! Dad could go to work; everyone happy. As soon as the toddlers were potty-trained, she would leave and go to the next house. So far, she has managed to avoid any romantic involvement. The only problem is, her fiancé in college keeps dropping in - checking up on her I guess. But it WAS helpful to get away for a quick date..
