There is no need to fix any of the Sims for they are all brand new Sims made in the hood but never placed or played.

That's sad... I used to have them so I could resurrect Tariq and Isabella but the both were deleted because I deleted the maxis 'hoods - they're all corrupted. (The most corrupted one was Strangetown - I used to delete sims from the bin and some premade families of Strangetown and this at the first time I loaded Strangetown ^^)

Isabella Monty is still alive and has full data and my "The Beginning" hood has Tariq in it and you can clone him out.

If you need a new copy of Vernoaville its on your Base Game disk.

I will send you a link to the ones I tried to clean and fix but have never been tested. These are the org. hoods with the deleted Sims restored.

I'm afraid that's not true: several of the pre-made, living sims have inbuilt corruption. The first example that comes to mind is Brandi Broke's pregnancy; the baby has no father. There are also several sims with broken genetics and the like. Strangetown is reported to have the most corruption, but I don't know specifics. Tarlia lists many of the inbuilt corruption issues that she fixed on the download page for her clean templates.

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

The hoods in my sig have none of those Sims, the Sims in the hoods in my sig are clean, fixed then clone and made fresh in those hoods.

We are not talking about the org. base game hoods we are talking about new and none corrupt hoods that I made from scratch using clones of the dead and EA deleted Sims.

I did not use Celesta's for this was said about them:
The user data that you can download from the wikia was created and shared by Celesta. EA did not create that user data. Celesta did.

I did not download those for they were not exact and I wanted exact clones or as close as I could make them.

How many times do I need to state that I did not use "Celesta's Sims data files" the only thing I use of Celesta's was the tutorial.

3. Click in the Resource List, and press Ctrl-A to select all resources.

5. Make sure you have closed the clone's character file, then reload the neighborhood and open the real Sim you want to resurrect.
6. If the Sim's picture has a blue background, you will need to relink that Sim. Click the "Other" tab. In the "Misc" box, one of the fields will say "Unlinked: 0x0001". Change the 1 at the end to a 0 (zero).
7. Click the "Commit" button, then save. The Sim's picture in the "Overview" tab should now have a red background, meaning that his or her character data is incomplete..
8. Click the "More" tab, and open the Sim's Character File.
9. Minimize SimPE, so the desktop is visible. Open the folder which has the data that was extracted from the clone. Remove these seven files: Catalog Description, Directory of Compressed files, jpgtgapng image, Object Data, Object Functions, Version Information, and package.
10. Maximize SimPE.
11. Select the "Add . . ." option. You will need to browse to the folder which has the data that was extracted from the clone. The extracted data will be in subfolders. You will have to add the data from each subfolder, but will only be able to do one at a time.
12. Enter the first subfolder, select all the files in it, and click "Open". This will close the browse dialog, so select "Add . . ." again, enter the next subfolder, select all the files in it, and click "Open". Repeat this until you are sure you have added the data from all of the subfolders.
13. In the "Resource Tree" window, select Object Data (OBJD). Highlight the file that appears in the Resource List window. The Object Data will appear in the Plugin View window.
14. In the Plugin View, look for a dropdown labeled "Obj. Type". One of the options in that dropdown will be "Person". Select "Person", then find and click the Commit button.
15. In the Plugin View window change the Obj.Type to Person.
16. Save. Wait for all the resource names in italics to change to regular type.

Ah, OK. I thought that you said that you were no good at making sims. Guess you've developed a new skill. Can your sim's user data be used as described in the wikia, to replace the missing user data for the ancestors in Pleasantview?

Yes they can be used but I only have the first gen. in those hoods.
Most of them are the great grand parents of the now-a-day Sims.
I do have the rest some where but I can not find them at the moment.

I do have the org. hoods that I first did that I can extract all of them if any one wants them.

Making Sims is no problem, what is a problem is making exact look-a-like but I can get close and using the stats of the org. Sims makes them great to extract the info needed to fix the deleted Sims.

But I have a question... I know that some premade sims in Belladonna Cove have only 3 grandparents instead of 4 grandparents but why does the game crash, when I select the grandparent with no wife or unknown wife?

P.S. I meant Isabella Fiorello (grandmother of Don Lothario) not Isabella Monty in Veronaville.

It's not my first play in Belladonna Cove. As said, I messed all of the maxis neighborhoods. I did not know that they get corrupted.

Anyway, I just started cleaning Pleasantview... As I see, all of the deceased sims, except Darleen Dreamer are unlinked.
So is it safe to relink the deceased sims? (I know, if they are red, I have to fix the character data.)

And I'm just wondering... how did Tarlia delete those sims?
I heard, deleting sims is not a good idea... because even the safest method can corrupt the neighborhood.

And is it safe to complete social worker's character data or repoman's charcter data?

Tarlia did not delete them EA did.

Yes if you want the family to be able to resurrect them they must be relinked.

I don't think you should try with the social worker and repoman if I remember right they are the NPC you don't want to mess with.

I know that Tarlia deleted some grandparents of some sims but did she delete them with the batbox (batsbox...? I don't know)

What I wonder is for the Pleasantview that I gave all the Sims back there data if it would help with the corruption in the org. hood.

She has a huge list of fixes...one of them "fixed buggy DNA"
Perhaps, it can be done by opening up Pleasantview in SimPE and then SimSurgery.
With this tool, maybe we can fix some sims like Skip Broke or Cassidy, the bartender of Pleasantview...

Yes, I believe that Tarlia cleaned up the family ties using SimPE, then used the batbox and Theo's plugin to delete the sims, then cleaned up everything else using SimPE and a pre-release version of the HoodChecker.

Note that sims with no references can be deleted safely and sims with few references can sometimes be deleted safely with some extra work. The more references to a sim that exist in a hood, the more dangerous it is to delete them.

I have a question...
My post above about Duarte Gere, paternal grandfather of Chastity Gere (in Belladonna Cove)

I checked him with SimPe.
Always if I want to edit his family tie, SimPE occurs an error.
But I found something interesting in the Belladonna Cove.package...

There is someone who is called Noelle Gere (probably Duarte's wife)
but how can I bring her back? Because I want to fix every neighborhood in Sims 2

The HoodChecker might be able to fix the invalid family ties. Otherwise, you'll have to resort to hex editing the record, which is difficult and error-prone.

However, if you're going to bring back all of those sims, I'd suggest that you start with an uncorrupted version of the neighborhood.

I checked Belladonna Cove with HoodChecker - I'm going to test it out now
What could I do first to bring Noelle Gere back?
EA deleted her (I think by accident)...
But she must have the darkest skintone because her son Inigo is dark...not tan while Duarte (Inigo's father) is tan...
