I think this is really cute and REALLY useful. The recolorability is awesome. I like the fact that it can become leaves or anything else. This is great!

No, I'm sorry, they can't. There is (or used to be) a mod by twoftmama on Simsasylum (registration required) that allows children to play with pegboxes, although this will make them either stretch or possibly shrink. I can't tell exactly, because it seems to be down. I looked through twoftmama's mods and couldn't find it, but try it yourself, maybe I was just being tired, or stupid or something.

Idk about anyone else, but my pile of this sand comes out distorted with a giant spike on one side. Nothing fixes it either. .
