Default The Life and Times of Amari Taylor (Completed)
This is simply the story of my favorite sim family as told through their family photos by the founder. I have most of the pics because I have played with this family a very long time so if people are interested I will continue as soon as possible! Please excuse the poor picture quality, higher settings slows my game down dramatically!

Introduction

Have you ever seen anything so beautiful? Of course I don't mean myself, its my wonderful wife that makes this picture so beautiful. My name is Amari Taylor and I have lived a very full life my 65 sim days on this Earth. And they were made all the better by the woman you see in this picture, Angelica Taylor.

This is us on our last vacation. She insisted that we meditate to "cleanse our souls". She thought it would help us to live many more days......but my dear Angelica you were wrong.

You see shortly after we celebrated Christmas, my dear sweet Angie passed on. Well she was taken away by old Grimy himself. I despise the Grim Reaper. I know its his job, but Angie was my soul mate. For years we shared memories, laughter, and love.

This is our last photo together. She had just given me an mp3 player as a gift. You see I'm a bit of a music lover, a trait that I passed along to all of our kids. Yes me and Angelica had 3 kids, 2 boys and a girl, and 5 grand kids, 4 girls and a boy. This is my legacy, my life. You see the way I see it, I'm next on old Grim Reaper's list, and before he comes and takes me to be with Angie, I wanted to leave behind the story of us. We shared alot in our years together. Got all three kids through college, and all 3 kids married with beautiful weddings. So many photos, so little time....so why don't we begin at the beginning.............

It's funny how at the end, you think back to the beginning, and wonder how you got here......

Default Chapter 1: A Beautiful Beginning
Yay it got approved! This is my first story so helpful comments are welcome!

This was the first picture we ever took together. Me and Angelica fell in love from the very start! Her father abandoned her and her mother when she was a baby and her mother died when she was 16, so she grew pretty tough as a defense. I actually had it pretty good growing up. My parents loved me very much and since I was their only child, spoiled me more than they should. But when I was 15, my mom and dad died in a bad car accident. I was devastated. They left me a substantial amount of money and I decided that it would be best for me to simply take care of myself. So you could say me and Angie were kindred spirits. We both knew how it felt to lose people who meant the world to us. So once we met we were inseparable. We married within months of meeting each other and used my inheritance to get a lovely apartment in the downtown area of Pleasantview.

Ha! I caught her off guard with this one! She was pretty upset and decided she would get revenge. After much discussion, we decided that we wanted to have children right away. We both missed being apart of a family. Of course, once we married, we became each other's family; but I was dying to have a little girl with Angie's sweet disposition. And she was dying to have a little boy with my zest for life. She decided that for the first few years, she would be a stay at home mom.

Well she said she would get revenge and she did when she took this shot of me in my underwear! But I didn't care. No one in the world was happier than I was at that time in my life. Neither of us attended University, but there were still so many opportunities for a young man starting off. I decided our children would DEFINITELY get the education we were unable to attain. Because honestly, had it not been for my inheritance, we would have struggled tremendously. I got a job in the intelligence career and we got to work on baby number 1!

I never wanted us to become that couple who gets so.....COMFORTABLE....that they forget the reason they got married. I wanted the spark to always stay in our marriage and I always wanted Angelica to be happy with her life with me. So we still went out on dates whenever I wasn't tired from preparing for the next promotion or just from working in general.

Soon all of our "practice" paid off and we were expecting a little bundle of joy! I could already see a little girl with fire red hair and blue eyes just like my Angie. But she wanted a little boy. "So when we do have a girl, she'll have a big brother to keep the boys at bay," Angie told me.

And Angie got her wish. Soon we were holding little Christian Taylor in our arms. We could hardly put him down! He was a very intelligent boy right from the start, and I knew he had a bright future ahead of him. He was just gorgeous. He had my eyes and hair but his smile was Angie's alone.

Angie looked as beautiful after her pregnacy as she had before.....more so actually. She now had the glow of a mother enhancing her already beautiful face.

And Christian grew like a weed! Soon he was a toddler crawling around getting into mischief! As he aged, he began to look more like me.

And soon, after more "practice", we were expecting another little bundle of joy. I still wanted a little girl that looked like Angie. But she didn't care, she was just so happy that we were extending our family. Now the apartment we lived in was nice.....but it was TOO nice. Angie wanted something a little more homey with a yard for the kids to play in. But I wasn't ready to leave the city so we found a nice duplex not too from from where we lived to move into.

How I loved little Christian. He definitely had my zest for life! He was the happiest child I had ever seen....And I couldn't have been happier being his father! He loved playing with his building blocks and I knew we would have a little scientist on our hands.

Soon Amari Jr burst into our lives. And burst he did! This picture is simply priceless! You see Angie was shaking little AJ above her head when the little tyke got a bit.....well sick.....Angie's face is hilarious in this one!

Oh yes we were happy.....more happy than any two people have a right to be....and I hoped that that happiness would continue......because you know how life can be....throwing little curve balls at you....But I knew our love could survive it.....Me and Angie and my boys.....

It's funny how at the end, you think back to the beginning, and wonder how you got here......

Default Chapter 2: Birthdays, College, and First Dates

Soon Christian grew into a very intelligent young boy. He loved looking through the telescope we got him for Christmas and we knew that when he went to University he would major in something science related. He worked very hard at keeping his grades up and we couldn't have been more proud!

He wasn't the only one growing like a weed! Little AJ grew into a very musical little toddler. He loved banging away on his little xylophone! My favorite hobby was listening to music and dancing so this gave us something in common. I had been promoted a couple of times and so now I had more time to spend at home with my little boys.

And once again Angie was expecting. I know, I know we loved creating babies! I didn't even hope for a girl this time. Seemed like everytime I did, we'd have a boy instead! So I just hoped that the baby was as healthy and strong as their brothers.

Now this is the only picture I have of a teenage Christian. He was so focused on getting scholarships to Sim State University that he didn't take out time to do much else. This was on our vacation to Three Lakes Mountain. Angie was pretty grumpy during this time, so I took the boys and headed out! But we only stayed 2 nights because by the second night I was too worried about her to enjoy myself. But the boys had so much fun! This picture hangs on the wall in the living room of our house now.

Have you ever seen a sadder face? Christian left for Sim State with lots of scholarship money shortly after our vacation. He decided to major in physics, something his old man could never do! But he was so home sick that first semester. You see, since he concentrated so much on school, his social life kinda took a back seat. So he really didn't know how to make friends or meet girls. Why he had never even had his first date or kiss! We were pretty worried that he would fall in love with the first pretty face to show him some attention.

And back home AJ was falling more and more in love with music and proclaimed that he intended to be a rock star! Almost gave Angie a heart attack. I told him he could be a rock star.....and he could start right after he received his degree from the university of his choice! He wasn't too happy about this, but come on.....a rock star?

And you know how I always wished for a girl? Well wish granted! I was all too happy to welcome little Jordan into our family. Oh she was just as beautiful as I knew she would be. And even though she didn't have Angie's blazing red hair, I knew she would be a handful. She already had dad tied around her finger!

Christian called home to tell us he had met a girl......we were very wary at first....I mean he had never dated anyone. He said her name was Anna McAfee and one of his roommates had set him up with her. He took her out to dinner and they hit it off almost automatically. She was a drama major who loved to paint and take photos.

After dinner they went dancing and he said as he gazed into her eyes he knew he would marry her. Now I was really worried. I told him maybe he should date around a bit. You know, make sure she really was the one. I mean he had nothing to compare it to! But you know what he asked me? "Dad, when you met mom you knew, right? The first time you laid eyes on her you knew you were going to marry her. So why is this different?" I felt smaller than an ant at that moment. He was truly crazy about this girl. So to keep the peace I told him I was happy for him. But silently I vowed to keep an eye on her!

They even had their picture taken in one of those cheesy little photo booths together. Yes, Ms. Anna McAfee had stolen my boy's heart. Only time would tell if it turned out well.

I wanted to be sure Anna was right for Christian, but I knew if I went down there he would take it offensively. So I sent Angie to check her out. Now Angelica was sure that Christian knew what he was doing and trusted his opinion. But I know a part of her wanted to make sure her baby boy wasn't going to get hurt. She met Anna and instantly loved her, much to my dismay. I guess I just wasn't ready for Christian to move on and get serious about someone so soon. But Angelica was sure that Anna was here to stay. So I vowed to welcome her into the family as best I could.

AJ was still on his "rock star" kick and practiced his music every chance he got. Now it wasn't that he wasn't good because he had an amazing natural talent. I just wanted him to concentrate a little more on school as well. He was a smart boy.....he just didn't care about school as much as he should have.

Jordan grew into a beautiful toddler and we decided to throw a party for her. As you can see I decided to invite Anna. As I talked to her, I found her to be a wonderful person. And after all, they were sophmores in college. I had a whole 3 more years to get to know her before they became really serious, right?

Jordan was such a pretty baby, so much like her mother. I was always amazed to see them together and see the resemblance. The boys took after me but Jordan was definitely her mother's child.

And she continued to grow until she was a gorgeous child. We allowed her to take up ballet because we thought it was a good way to channel her love of the dance. She loved it and practiced on her barr everyday. There was only one other dance that she loved more....

....Dancing with her dad! I love twirling her around and seeing that smile.....I had waited quite a while for a girl, but oh the wait was worth it.....I figured with a child as special as Jordan was.....it takes a little time to get it right!!

AJ was now a teen and we decided to take him and Jordan out to a nice restaurant to celebrate. Now where Christian stayed to himself in high school, AJ thought himself to be a real ladies man. We worried that this would cause him problems, but AJ was such a strong willed young man that we felt he would just have to learn the hard way.....Heck, we couldn't even talk him out of this whole rock star business!!

We got Jordan a dollhouse for her birthday and her and Angie would spend hours in her room playing "house". She didn't have any sisters or female cousins to play with so we tried to take up the slack. Things were going pretty well......but THAT never lasts does it?

One night we got a call from Christian.....a call that I wasn't too happy about....a call stating that he had proposed to Anna......and she had happily accepted...."You're gonna have a new daughter-in-law!" He exclaimed.

Just freaking great.....so much for I have 3 years to get to know her.....These kids were going to be the death of me!!

It's funny how at the end, you think back to the beginning, and wonder how you got here......

Default Chapter 3: The Wedding of Christian Taylor and Anna McAfee

Ugh.....Christian and Anna were engaged. But the surprises didn't stop there....oh no....Christian and Anna had also saved up to get a house off campus together. They were LIVING together. I was livid. But Angie thought it was sweet. I demanded that they finish school and think about things before they just ran off and got married. And Christian's response was, "Ugh dad of course we're going to wait till we graduate.....we're not idiots."

Now I was against it. But I also didn't want to be the bad guy. So when Angie suggested we throw the kids an engagement party I jumped right on board and smustled with my soon to be daughter-in-law like everything was just fine. Even though in my mind it wasn't.

Christian graduated and set out to find a place for him and Anna to live in. Now Anna was a semester behind him so he had time to look for it and to find a job. So sad. The only picture I have of my son's graduate is of him locking lips with his fiance....

Anna soon followed behind him. Picture look familar? As the wedding got closer to the date (they wanted it to be in the Spring), I began to see just how much they cared about each other.....Maybe I was being a bit judgemental! I mean hadn't I felt the same way about Angelica?

Christian had found a very nice apartment in downtown Pleasantview and had also gotten a job in the natural science field. Anna moved in shortly after graduation and got a job as an artist. They were getting settled into their new life and making plans for not only the wedding, but their future as a married couple.

Anna went on the hunt for the perfect wedding dress. She knew that the colors of the wedding would be white and gold and she already had the bridesmaid dresses picked out but she was still missing the most important dress of all.....her own!

Angie took pictures of all the dresses she tried on, but for the sake of time (Grimy will be knocking pretty soon), I'm only going to put up a couple. I mean she tried on about 47 dresses. It was madness!

Christian's frat brothers took him out clubbing as an impromtu bachelor party since he told them he really didn't want one at all. They were shocked and appalled at this revelation but determined to get him out to do SOMETHING on his last night as a single man.

The big day soon arrived and everyone was so excited. My beautiful Jordan was chosen to be the flower girl. She wasn't very excited about having to walk down an aisle in a room full of people, but she did a wonderful job!

Anna and Christian decided that their sorority and fraternity sisters and brothers would make up the wedding party.....Now I'm sorry but I really don't remember the kids' names!

More of the wedding party....but I know these two.......Jane Stacks and Josh Reuben

My son looked so handsome! He was nervous, we could see it in his face, but he was also very excited. He loved every minute of it!

And this was the entire wedding party waiting on the blushing bride. We had the wedding at a little church in Pleasantview.....they did a wonderful job with the decorations.

Anna look so beautiful walking down the aisle. Her father died when she was young and so she did not have anyone to walk her down the aisle. I asked her if I could escort her but she declined saying that she wanted me to enjoy the wedding and that she knew her dad would be with her in spirit.

They were so in love! It was a joy to see and it shamed me to think of all the doubts I had about them in the beginning.

THey said their "I Do's" and he kissed the bride and we had Mr. and Mrs. Christian Taylor!

The groom and the groomsmen

The bride and her bridesmaids

I had to add this shot of AJ. He thought he was so smooth in his suit! We were really concerned about his womanizing ways, but it was hilarious to see that boy primp in a mirror!

And here we were. Our new expanded family. AJ, Christian, Anna, Angelica, me, and little Jordan sitting on the floor facing the wrong way! That child always did her own thing! I was happy, but also worried. I hoped AJ would straighten up his act when it came to women.....all we needed was another Don Lothario on our hands......

It's funny how at the end, you think back to the beginning, and wonder how you got here......

Default Chapter 4: Engaged Players

It seemed that AJ may have been settling down a bit when it came to the opposite sex. He found a nice girl to be steady with and we were very happy. Her name was Arlen Grayson and despite the other girls saying what a player he was, Arlen fancied herself in love with AJ. We couldn't figure out why, but we were happy for them!

Jordan had grown into a beautiful young teen and still had her love for dance. She got a part time job after school in the dance world and still managed to keep her grades up. We were so proud!

Now AJ and Arlen decided to both attend Sim State University and they stayed in the same dorm.....sounds ideal doesn't it? Well it seems that AJ just couldn't control himself around all the beautiful young co-eds, and when Arlen caught him cheating on her one day right in front of their shared dorm no less, she decided it was time to call it quits.

The next day AJ tried to explain his behavior, but Arlen did not want to hear it. She was upset because there were many college guys that wanted to be with her, but she always remained faithful to AJ. She was upset that he couldn't do the same.

Meanwhile, Christian and Anna were during wonderfully in their married life together. They were both very happy and very successful in their chosen fields.

Soon they would be hearing the pitter, patter of little feet around the house! I was so excited that I would soon have my very first grandchild....I hoped for a boy but Christian and Anna were just excited that they were going to be parents.

As for AJ and Arlen, he finally convinced her to give him a chance to redeem himself and he celebrated by taking her to Twikki Island for spring break. He called and told me that losing Arlen was one of the worst things that had happened to him and so he proposed to her on vacation.....and it seems she said yes....great.......

This is a fitting photo, don't you think? He was diving off the deep end here, and in his life.....I tried to convince him that he didn't need to marry Arlen to keep her.....I mean he wouldn't have cheated if he was as in love as he thought he was! But he would hear none of it and declared that in 2 years when they graduated he would be marrying Arlen......

Now as this craziness was going on with AJ, Christian and Anna welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world whom they named Aiden. Now Aiden was a cute little tyke and grew up very fast.....soon Christian was teaching him how to walk and talk!

By this time, Jordan had gone off to college and she as well had fallen in "love" with a young man she met. His name was Damien Hammond and she was just crazy about him. Jordan broke the cycle and went off to Academie instead of SSU. So I was pretty concerned. But AJ went down one weekend to the school to meet and check out Jordan's new beau.....he said that he was a pretty good guy......but I wasn't convinced.....after all AJ was the guy who proposed to get his girlfriend to forgive him....not the best judge of character!!!

So once again I sent Angie down to check on her.....the kids always took my presence as interference....such a shame! Angie took the love birds out to dinner and was very pleased with how mannerable Damien was.....of course he was mannerable he was meeting her mother for goodness sake!

What happened next.....well I wasn't prepared for it.....Damien pulled out a little blue box and laid it on the table beside Jordan's hands.....Angie's eyes widened, as did Jordan's.....I also wasn't prepared for Jordan's and Angie's reaction.....Jordan said yes and Angie was estatic, already planning the wedding in her head!

Time marched on.......Christian and Anna had a second child, a girl that they named Kasha.....she was a beauty just like her grandmother! They decided that since they had gotten both a boy and a girl, that they would stop with 2 kids....they loved the apartment that they had leased and didn't want to have to move to another one because of space.....this was the place that they had started out......and it was where they wanted to end!

Little Aiden grew into a very handsome young man, and Christian and Anna threw a birthday party for him at their home and invited all of us! We had a wonderful time and we were so happy that despite the many changes that were going on, we still were as close as every and our love for each other hadn't changed a bit. As you can see Angie and I had also aged quite a bit.....we were settling into our elder years and enjoying every minute.....We had both retired and used the money we had saved to by a family house....a house that we could leave our children and one that could stay in our family for generations.....we also bought a small shop that we fixed up and decided to sell party supplies out of since parties were the one thing that brought our whole family together again.....we named it A & A Party Supplies. It kept us from simply sitting in the house staring at each other all day.....though I wouldn't have minded that much.......

Yes Aiden was going to be a very handsome boy.....he had inherited his eyes from his mother and could mesmerize you with a single glance.....he was in love with science, just as his father was, and we knew we would have another scientist in the family.

Angie and I also threw a birthday/house warming party for ourselves. We wanted to get the kids opinion on the house as well as give everyone a chance to meet Arlen and Damien since, whether I like it or not, they would soon be joining the family! Anna and Jordan soon had Arlen dancing the smustle in our kitchen and from the looks of things, the three of them were going to become fast friends.......I guess life could have been a lot worse.....seemed my kids had chosen two pretty ok people......I was more concerned about AJ than I was Jordan.....Jordan really fancied herself in love with Damien....but I was afraid AJ was only marrying Arlen to keep her around...I wondered if his womanizing days were really behind him........

It's funny how at the end, you think back to the beginning, and wonder how you got here......

I really like this story
It's nice and simple, and it's refreshing to see the occasional plumbbob lol! I don't get why some writers here are so finicky about making the photos look real. After all, they're about Sims, and Sims aren't real!
I am looking forward to more :P

Default Chapter 5: The wedding of Amari Taylor, Jr. and Arlen Grayson
I know I'm updating alot but I'm trying to catch up with the pictures.....I'm currently still playing this family so there are LOTS of pics!

Well here we are again....at a wedding that I don't think should be taking place! I mean admittedly, I was wrong about Christian and Anna.......Anna is a great girl and turned out to be a wonderful wife and mother......and Arlen was great too....it was my son I wasn't so sure about! We had the wedding in the same church that Christian and Anna had theirs in.....But Arlen wanted her wedding to be blue and white so we had to redecorate just a bit....

Little Aiden served as the ring bearer.....he was so cute in his suit that matched his father's.....at the time we didn't have any female family members who were old enough to be the flower girl, so we simply went without!

Anna and Christian served as maid of honor and best man.....even Christian was a bit skeptical about the union, but he loved his brother and was very happy for him....Plus, he was extremely happy to see his son as the ring bearer...he was growing up so fast!!!

Jordan and Damien were very happy to be apart of the wedding party.....AJ and Damien had grown pretty close in the time that Damien had been dating and now engaged to Jordan....and Jordan adored Arlen.....it also helped that she could get ideas for her own nuptials with Damien!

And there was AJ.....I have to admit he looked very handsome in his tux....and on that day he genuwinely looked happy.....but I still had my doubts about his future with Arlen....He had graduated and found a little place for he and Arlen to start their lives.....he also got a job in the music career.....I guess he was still determined to show me that he could be a rock star!!

And here was Arlen being escorted by her father, Daniel Grayson......she was so happy! I only hoped that it would not all be in vain.....Arlen always felt she had a special.....well gift....she felt that she could sometimes see things before they happened....wonder why she didn't see AJ cheating on her?! No, that's mean.....sorry......anyhow she decided to get a job in the paranormal which surprisingly paid well over what AJ was making with his music....rock star indeed!

It really was a beautiful wedding.....despite all my reservations I couldn't help but be in awe as I saw them standing up there.....I wished that me and Angie had had a real wedding, no matter how small it would have been.....It would have been a nice memory for her to have...

The vows were said, I do's exchanged and soon he was kissing his new wife, Arlen Taylor!

All the guests filed outside to the awaiting reception that we had on the side of the church....everyone thought it was a very successful wedding as did I.

Arlen's dad pulled me over to the side to voice his concern over how his daughter would be treated now that she had forgiven AJ.....he hoped there would not be a repeat of the stint in college......I told him that I could not make promises where my son's behavior was concerned, but I did assure him that I would stay on him to do the right thing by her.

Look at these clowns! They really had bonded with Damien and saw him as their brother.....he was very involved with our family and when he looked at Jordan, I knew that he loved her very much.....and so even though I was sad to see my little girl go, I was glad she would be in such capable hands....and I planned to have them move in with Angie and me once they were married......you know so they could have the house when we passed on......and so I could keep an eye on things!

Arlen really was a beautiful bride....and her and Jordan had many a girls night out with each other.....Anna found it hard to listen to Arlen go on about AJ when she knew that it wasn't meant to be.....so she was cordial, but only so much so.....but they all had lots of fun playing this wedding together.

Their first dance as husband and wife......they really were a beautiful couple from outside appearances....and hey maybe I WAS wrong....I had been about Anna.....so maybe I was wrong again....but this was my own son...I like to think I knew him pretty well.....

Time would tell if things would be as good as they were then........and if the love in their eyes was enough to last a whole lifetime......

It's funny how at the end, you think back to the beginning, and wonder how you got here......

Awesome Story
I really enjoyed reading your story. It's simple as someone said in a posting before, and a really ingenius, (I think anyways) ,basis for anything to write about. Great thinking!

What could be better than the elderly reminiscing about their life before they
pass? They always have the best stories to tell don't they!!!

I look forward to reading any additions you make. (My first subscription to a post too!!! Teehee!!!)

Default Chapter 6: College Bound, College Grad, New Beginnings

Soon Aiden was a handsome teen making A's in the private school Christian had gotten him in and also working a job in the oceanography career. I decided to take him and Christian out to celebrate his achievements and I also asked Daniel to come along. Me and him had gotten pretty close since AJ and Arlen had gotten married.

AJ and Arlen were settling into married life and were actually doing well. AJ took her out on a regular basis so that they kept the romance alive. They were even talking of expanding their family with a couple of kids. Once again it seemed that I was wrong.

Soon Jordan had graduated from college and her and Damien were getting married. I had convinced them to move in with Angie and me and Jordan decided she wanted a small ceremony at the house with just her family and friends. We dressed up the back yard and gave her the wedding she dreamed of.

Soon my last child was happily married. She was no longer Jordan Taylor, the little girl who loved to dance more than anything; she was now Jordan Hammond, wife, friend, and one day mother.

The ceremony went wonderfully and it turned out that the house we chose was perfect for it. Jordan was extremely happy and Angie was so proud that all of our kids were happy. We had done a pretty good job raising them!

We had a nice little reception inside the house with lots of food and music. Aiden was already thinking of college and had decided to major in biology since, like his father, he was in love with the sciences.

AJ and Arlen were already expecting their first child. While Arlen was super excited, AJ was a bit worried that he would not the the best father in the world. But he knew that he would love their child more than anything. I told him I had complete faith in him.

Aiden was soon a young adult and was college bound. We were so excited for him! He was ready to begin the new part of his life although he was sad that he would be leaving home.

Kasha had also grown into a beautiful teen. Christian was afraid he would have every teenage boy in the neighborhood after her! But she was just as smart as she was beautiful.

Christian and Anna were both getting along in age and were happy that their family had turned out so well. I was so happy that I had been wrong about them. Anna was a wonderful woman and a great mother.

Christian found it really hard when it was time for Aiden to leave for college. It was just terrible for him. But he knew he had raised a good son and was confident that he would do well.

To their surprise, AJ and Arlen had twin girls! They named them Gabriela Elise and Rochella Jalise Taylor. They decided to give all of their kids two names. The girls were just too cute!

AJ fell into fatherhood just fine. He adored both his girls and was excited about having at least one more child, hopefully a boy. Even if it was another girl I don't think it would have mattered. He loved those girls to distraction!

Angelica's death was especially hard on him. He felt like he had gotten so caught up in his own life that he wasn't around as much as he should have been. We all tried to comfort him, especially Arlen, but it was very hard to reach him.

He threw himself into his work and he and Arlen began fighting more. She couldn't understand why he wouldn't talk to her and why he was just shutting her out. She was also afraid that he was once again talking to the woman he had cheated on her with when they were in college.

Poor AJ just didn't know what to do. He knew the path he was on was going to cost him his famliy but he didn't know how to stop. We all hoped that he could get it together before it was too late......

It's funny how at the end, you think back to the beginning, and wonder how you got here......

Yes I did. Angela will be a character later on and I just got a bit ahead of my self . I find myself with a bit of a problem. The next chapter may very well be the last in that poor Amari has kicked the bucket. But I am playing this family through 10 generation (or trying to at least ) and have a lot more story to tell. I could pick it up with the oldest son carrying on the story and so on and so forth. So should it all end with Amari?

If the bug has bit you to continue, then why not, I'm sure your readers will appreciate that. As for which sim narrates, idk, I liked the elder sim narrating, but whatever floats your boat.

No, keep going
I can understand why the idea of just ending it with Amari is good, but I want to keep reading and find more out about the Taylor family. They rule.

Actually the oldest son is now an elder so if he continues, it will still be an older person recounting their life story, it just won't be the original character. I didn't want to prolong his life, but let him live it out to its natural length so that it would be more realistic.

Default Chapter 7: The Death of Amari Taylor....But Wait, There's More!
I have decided to continue the story past Amari's death because his children and their children are also a part of his legacy! His oldest son, who is now an elder, will continue as narrator

My name is Christian Taylor. I know my dad was telling the story of his life. Trying to get it all down on paper before he was taken away. But he didn't make it to the end. So I have decided to carry on the story for him, even document some things he will never get to see because this is still the life and times of him, but through his children.

You may be wondering what happened to him. My dad became a big fitness buff in his later years. He felt that exercise would make his body strong so that he could live a longer life. But one summer day he over did it. And we found him passed out on the sidewalk outside the house.

We took him inside to try to get him cooled down but before we got a chance, the Grim Reaper showed up and took my dad away. Now I have no parents. Silly to feel like an orphan at my age isn't it? But my family has always been very close. Now I'm just going to pick up where my dad left off. There were still some things he was around for before his death so that would be a good place to begin.

AJ, AJ, AJ.....the drama king!!! Now don't get me wrong, mom's death hurt us all, but AJ took it to a whole other level. He started mistreating Arlen who loved him unconditionally, and he had started sneaking around with that girl from college. So I took him aside and played a little football with him and told him that he was throwing away his life. He said he knew and he was about to get back on track because mom loved Arlen and would be upset to see him treating her this way.

Well Arlen forgave him and pretty soon they were expecting again. I was hoping that he really had gotten it together for the sake of the new baby as well as the twin girls they already had.

Rochella Jalise and Gabriella Elise had grown into two very beautiful, distinct individual girls. Rochella was more of a girlie girl who liked to play with her dollhouse while Gabriella Elise was more sporty.

AJ doted on all the women in his life while Arlen was pregnant. He took them all out to eat for family dinners so that the bonds that had been loosened with his erratic behavior could once again be strong.

Mean while, Jordan and Damien were also expecting. My dad was so excited to have one of his grandchildren living under his roof. We all knew that Jordan's child would be the most spoiled out of all of our kids because of their proximity to my dad. He loved kids so much! I'm surprised he and my mom didn't have 10 instead of just the 3 of us.

Damien was perfect for my sister. He really was a wonderful guy and he made sure that whatever she wanted and needed was provided. She had gotten a job in the dance world while he was working on being an entertainer. They were good company for my dad. After mom's death we all worried about him, but Jordan and Damien took very good care of him. And with the baby on the way, his life would soon be filled with lots of things to do.

Meanwhile, me and my wife Anna were keeping the spark in our relationship by having a weekly date. Anna seemed a bit sad that everyone in my family seemed to be having babies. I reminded her that while we couldn't have anymore, we did have grandchildren to look forward to.....not too soon of course!

Aiden was well on his way to giving us some! He had met a very nice girl whose name was Kelly Fancey. While I wouldn't have picked Kelly for Aiden, she made him happy and that was what was most important. You see, there was nothing wrong with her, she was just a book worm. And so was Aiden. He needed someone to pull him out of his shell, not lock up in it with him! But I remembered how my dad had objected to Anna and so I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't do that to my kids. Oh he meant well but it was still a bit annoying!!!!

Arlen and AJ soon welcomed a baby boy! AJ was estatic! He was hoping for a little boy. They named him Kyler Dewayne Taylor and he looked just like AJ. We hoped that the joy this baby boy brought to his life would keep him doing the right thing. Time would tell if he did or not....

AJ made sure his girls didn't feel left out when the baby arrived. He still played with them and gave them the same attention as he had before.

Jordan and Damien welcomed a little girl into their life. Jordan knew how much my dad missed our mom, so she did the best thing she could have possibly done for him. She named her daughter Angela Hammond after her grandmother and our mother Angelica Taylor. My dad was speechless. It make him so happy!

Kyler Dewayne grew to be a very handsome toddler. ALMOST as handsome as I was at that age! I'm joking, but even though he brought joy to his parents, their relationship was still very strained and didn't seem to be getting any better.

Kyler Dewayne's sisters loved to play with their little brother. He was such an amazing little guy that it was very hard not to love him. His smile was infectious.

He wasn't the only one with people wrapped around his finger. There was a daily battle between my dad, Damien, and my sister on who got to hold little Angela. And she just ate the attention up! She really was a beautiful little girl.

And most importantly she did what we all hoped that she would accomplish. She made my dad happy again, she gave him a purpose for his life. Too bad good things don't always last......

It's funny how at the end, you think back to the beginning, and wonder how you got here......
