Default [moved] First Default Skin Changed
I have successfully changed the adult female, light default skin in Sims 2. I more work to do to perfect it, but its a start. I am looking for a good skinner to skin the skins I will be putting into the first upload.

defaultchanged.JPG shows body shop with the default skin selected and transparent clothing

I also have screenshots of Brandi in the tub.

As soon as a get permission to use the skins I currently have, or I get another set, with permission from the creator, I will get to work on a complete package.

NICE. Is there any chance you're going to working on a male default skin too? *VEG*

1. If you can't respect another's POV, you have no right to complain when he doesn't respect yours.
2. If you can't tell the difference between Real Life and a Game, seek professional help.

I am not a skinner, so I am looking for someone to work up some good skins to package. Afterwords I will work on a tool to import a skin of your choosing into any age/gender.. therefore people can choose there own to import.

So eventually.. yes.. you can have whatever you want. My first upload will most likely be just the teen and adult females unless I get ahold of a couple good male skins. Keep in mind that all sims created by maxis will have this skin unless changed by other means not easily done yet.

Really kewl, that will be a very handy util/tool to have

Not trying to rush things but, do you plan to make it as a general skin manager too, or just default skins?

"How to make a mob a desperate angry mob"

Step 1 : Find a way to change the default nude in TS2

Step 2 : Sign up with MTS2 and exclaim your discovery

Step 3 : Don't tell anyone how you did it

Lol I'm sure you will though, nice job and good luck with the rest of the skins.

Two things,

First, excellent work.

Second, Post HOW you did it. I never EVER want to hear someone say they made a great discovery and is writing a UTILITY to allow others to do it. This is a site of information, not secrets. I'm angered you'd even say something like that. With all the work that's going on right now...grrr.... :@

This is why there were a hundred utilities for TS1, no one wanted to share information, only to bask in the glory that was their discovery.

This is a community, treat it like one.

Be Patient My Fellow Modders, I have a few tweaks to work out to make it easier to explain, but am working on a how-to. To get people started.. the skins are located in the Sims3D/sims07.package file. Using GameExtractor, the names of the files say it all. I am still working on the file rename portion .. which means to get a utility to change the defaults and then change them again .. i have to keep the filename constant. Unfortunatly .. when I import a new default, the name changes to an address. More to come.. be patient.

names of the files?

names generated by the game extractor? (of which I've never been able to get working)...

What's the specific TGIR ID set?

I will be making the middle dark, and the dark skins tomorrow. Tell me what you think. I played the game with several versions with different placement of the nipples and this was the setting that looked best.

I think they are pretty good. Some skins have the nipples placed like there was a bad boob job in the not too distant past (not the ones available here, to be fair) and others have carpeting like a bad '70s porno. Can you link or upload?

Chang, Please excuse my doubt over your claim, but you do not seem to have provided any evidence to back up your claim, and when asked you have failed to provide the information on how you did this.

There are some very clever people working on the coding for Sims2 on this site (I don't iclude myself in that because all this coding and file formats confuses the hell out of me) and they have not yet identified how to modify the default skins.

Having said that I would be only too pleased if you proved my doubts to be unfounded in the very near future.

yeah, i can use photoshop to get a picture just like that too, all you have to do is take 2 shots from the same vantage point, and cut them in half....

well, i would upload my package file.. but unfortunatly its over 50 megs.. the files are within the sims07 package file.. i already said that.. if you can't seem to find the files.. try reading... they have "bodynaked" in them.. as for how i did it.. ive taken current txtr files and replaced them with other txtr files.. then replaced the sims07 package file into the game.. would it be a comfort if I uploaded a movie of brandi taking a bath???

Chang take a chill pill mate, it's understandable that people only wish to see a lil evidence of such a sort after solution to a problem, no need to lose your rag or post three times when once would have been enough.
