Default WCIF - Best Plumbob hider? - still having issues
I've tried hiding plumbobs before, but couldn't get rid of all the artifacts around them, but the other day, watching Jessa, I saw hers were hidden perfectly, so thought I'd try again. What mod/s are you guys using to really hide them completely, but, preferably, separately, in hood and lot?

EDIT: I tried the file recommended below, JA's No Plumbobs, and I think that must be the same one I tried before, because I get the same result, these little glowing artifacts on the lot. Anyone else seen this?

I know in Jessa's tutorial series, Ja's No Plumbobs mod is recommended. I think the only way to get it now is in this mediafire folder of Ja's old downloads - scroll down to '[JA] No Plumbobs' and '[JA] No Plumbobs - Sims only'.

Well, that depends what you want. I can tell you I do loose which houses I have moved sims into with the all version. I end up having to hunt for them, I am sure someone with a better memory would do better. Sims only- means just sims. No plumbobs means no plumbobs -anywhere. So hood view- no plumbobs, sims- no plumbobs.

One of those-"No plumbobs" in general, eliminates all of them from NH and person view-all of them. Houses and pixels alike.
The other one eliminates the personal ones from pixels only.

You put the "NoPlumbbobs" in the game folder (with the files) to get the first one to cover all of them.
The other one, I do believe you also put in the same place.

I've got the first-it eliminates all of them at once. I don't care about my memory. I like puzzles, too.

Since it removes date and the blue outing/date plumbobs as well I assume you need the EP's that brought those in. Dates are of course NightLife but I don't know when outings came to be.

I think it's all right with Seasons, because the person/house plumbbobs are base game.

Did you put it in the right place? It's supposed to go into the main folder, not the downloads.

It's outside of the folders-because it's a global mod.

@FranH Thanks again for your reply, yes I had it in my download folder, now my mind is on ice what would be the main folder ? And should all global mods go in there ?
First I have ever heard of the global in main folder I have all mods in the downloads.

@joandsarah77 The Prima NL book I have said outing came with NL along with Dates.

Sunrader, I will be happy to help you when I am next at my computer. To look up the exact names. Having no plumbobs is a joy. I haven't seen nary a plumbobs in the neighborhood or lot for years. No need to type in a cheat.

I have mine in DLs, always worked perfectly.

The main folder for the game is where I put it-the active game, not the one in your C drive . I've never had an issue with it. Been using it since it came out. I adore it.

I have no idea what's going on, because it should not interfere with any mod, no matter where it's placed. Unless you have a mod that suppresses or dims out the plumbbobs. I know there are several that make them smaller, or different colors. (they all preceded this one).

I agree. I've always had outings (and groups) even when Nightlife was my only EP. (I started with Double Deluxe).

The main reason I like no plumbobs is for picture taking-plus it's less distracting to watch the pixels in action.

@simsample Yes I also like plumbobs, I never pay them much attention until I saw this WCIF. Actually I notice just yesterday that when you send your playing Sims to a community lot, he or she is the only one with a plumbob over it's head. The rest of the Sims that show up at the community lot do not show a plumbobs, not until you use a mod to play them, after all these years I just notice that.

My thing is with all my Sims is getting them to become Platinum, I think personally the white looking plumbobs when they reach their career goal and become platinum do not look bad at all, sometime I don't even notice it.
Because it seem to me a bit more clear when viewing, it look better than the loud green one. Anyway I will just keep this plumbob mod since things are hard to find nowdays,
but if it make my game crash after one more test as before ( out it goes lol )

The HCDU show no conflict and the mods I do have in the game stays over the plumbobs mod, I will just keep the plumbob mod for hard times in a folder.

Good idea, some Sims 2 stuff has gone for good so it's a great idea to stash files until you need them! Only the active sim has a plumbob (or those who are part of a group) but also inhabited houses have a plumbob from hood view. Inhabited apartments have a different icon though, which I admit is kind of ugly and might be a good reason to use these mods!

I like them for play, too, it's too hard to keep track of what's going on without them. It's just, for some pics for the sims, that I'd like them out of the way, but I never really like the twirling apts and stuff in my hood anytime. I rarely have more than one or two empty houses, anyway, and, when I'm surveying my domain, I like a clear view of it.

I can't figure out, now, what I tried before that didn't work. I'll try these suggestions and see if it's better, and I'll be interested to see what Jessa suggests, too. Thanks, y'all.

I have a plumbBob hider but it's an object that looks like a......plumbBob. has the option to hide it for your active sim. I think it might work with social group bobs too but I'm not sure. I think that object is here somewhere on MTS.
BTW that mediafire link has a lot of goodies. I will have to check it out sometime.

@sunrader, I finally got a chance to look and this is the file I have: [JA] No Plumbobs.package

Here it is if anyone wants it: http://www.simfileshare.net/download/919384/

I have had no problems playing without plumbobs, even in hood view, cause I know where everyone lives. I highly recommend it if you like taking photos like I do and you like a clean looking hood. I do not even miss it on outings, when the blue plumbob denotes the other people in the group cause I know who is in the group.

I have had this file in for years now.

If you go to this link it contains Pocci's Invisible Plumbob Mod. I have this in and it works https://mega.nz/#F!qJMEEKBJ!k-Obuo4yFQKAJhNqyCyDCQ also if you want to get rid of the speech bubbles hideheadlineeffects on is the cheat to type in. You will not see anything above your sims heads for picture taking.
