Default The Master Legacy Challenge
Tired of just playing Sims? Are up for some challenge? The Master Legacy Challenge was created for those who want to achieve the most with The Sims 4. The rules are based on the classic Legacy Challenge by Pinstar, but also have some influence from The Super Sim Challenge by LLandros09 and Rags to Riches (I am not sure about who is the original creator). The basic rules are base-game compatible, but there are optional handicaps for every expansion and gamepack.

Starting out

Start a new save file. Create your Sim in CAS. Assign gender, clothes, traits and aspiration as you wish. You may even start with an occult [Get to Work/ Vampires/ Island Living]. The only requirements are that your Sim must be a Young Adult and that you must not use the new Story Mode (for no career or skills benefits).

You must choose an empty lot to start, any size you want. Cheat your money down to 0 before start playing (Ctrl + Shift + C: "testingcheats true" > "money 0" > "testingcheats false"). Once you do that, your challenge begins.

Objectives

The basics of this challenge is to create a legacy of successful Sims by maxing out careers, skills, aspirations and by having a nice house and a fair amount of money. The life for your Founder may be a little bit more difficult, so be prepared and think strategically.

Your Founder may find a job as soon as they have a house, but not before that. They may, however, perform odd jobs. "Having a house", in this challenge, means every having object needed for survival (a bed, a fridge, a toilet and a shower/bathtub) inside a functional enclosure.

Requirements

To not fail this challenge, your bloodline must survive for ten generations (at least for enough time to conceive the next generation). But that is not enough. Your Founder and every descendent must fulfill certain requirements for moving on with the family.

Toddlers: must max all toddler skills before Child.
Children: must have an A at school and complete an aspiration before Teen.
Teens: must have an A at school and max a skill before YA. The school requirement may be alternatively max out a part-time teen job.
YA/Adult: must max career, aspiration and three skills before Elder.

This conditions only applies to Founders, Heirs and their children. Fail them doesn't mean failing the challenge. YA/Adult Sims who fail requirements, however, must be killed or moved out of the household in 24-hours after becoming Elders. If they are the last adult Sim in the house, you must move children to live with a relative or foster family before killing/moving out the Elder.

Spouses and Heritage

You may choose any spouse you want for your Sims – they may even be created by you. However, before marriage/moving in, the Sim and the soon-to-be spouse must have at least 3 golden dates and 100/100 relationship. Spouses may not bring money to the household when moving in, but may contribute to the family funds once in the household. Requirements do not apply to spouses.

You may bring children to your family by pregnancy or adoption. Every offspring of your Founder or Heir is eligible for being the next heir. You may choose as you see fit. However, the next heir must fulfill the requirements during their life. An offspring who fail a requirement in any life stage is not eligible to be the next heir and must be moved out of the household in 24-hours after becoming YA.

Other rules

1- You may not use cheats or mods that give you advantages that players without that mod wouldn’t have. You may use cheats for build mode and for fixing bugs.
2- Autonomy and aging must be on during the entire challenge. Lifespan must be set to normal.
3- You must only play with your challenge’s household in this save. You may, however, move your household as you wish during the challenge.
4- You may not move Sims into you household, with the exception of Spouses. Sims who moved out of the household must never move back in unless as spouses.
5- Ghost family members can be added to the household, but must not work or bring money to the family by any means. Also, requirements achieved by ghost Sims do not count for the challenge. You may, however, resurrect ghosts – and resurrected Sims may complete requirements with some exceptions:
- Skills that you Sim developed as a ghost are not eligible to fulfill skill requirements.
- Aspirations that you Sim developed as a ghost are not eligible to fulfill aspiration requirements. However, you may change his/her aspiration once after resurrection.
- Requirements that your Sim have fulfilled before dying still count after resurrection.
6- You may choose aspirations for your Sims, but you must not change it unless completed. You must, however, randomize your Sims traits.
7- You may only age up a Sim before his/her birthday if the Sim has already completed every requirement of his/her currently life stage.
8- You may only use items that extend the lifespan of a Sim once per generation. Choose wisely.
9- You may adopt children any time you want during the challenge. However, adopted kids may only be eligible to be heir if adopted as Baby or Toddler, since older kids will not be able to fulfill their Toddler requirements.
10- Once a new heir becomes YA, a new generation starts. You may move out the previous heir, his/her spouse and siblings at this point, but you are not required to do so as long as they have fulfilled their requirements until their currently life stage. If an Heir dies or forcedly moves-out with no eligible successor, you fail the challenge. The challenge ends once the 10th generation heir becomes an Elder.

Points

In addition to requirements, this challenge also have a point system. Of course, earning points is completely optional, but could be really fun to do. There is a total of 10 points you can earn in this challenge. Any active household member can earn points for your Legacy. Can you achieve a 10/10 Master Legacy?

- 1 point if you not fail a single requirement once during the challenge.
- 1 point for having a total of $1.000.000 (household funds + house value) at some point during the challenge.
- 1 point if you manage to complete every unique aspiration during the challenge.
- 1 point if you manage to max out every unique skill during the challenge.
- 1 point if you manage to max out every unique career (branches included) during the challenge.
- 1 point if you complete at least 10 collections during the challenge.
- 1 point if you maintain the tomb/urn of every dead family member in your lot (with ghosts included) until the end of the challenge.
- 1 point if you do not have any children taken away and do not have light and water shut off a single time during the challenge.
- 1 point for earning a golden medal for every type of social event available during the challenge.
- 1 point for having at least 100 Sims in your family tree in the end of the challenge.

Handicaps

Handicaps are completely optional for your challenge. You don’t earn points and you are not required to fulfill them. You may pick as many handicaps as you wish if you want, or pick none and just play the regular challenge.
