Default Crashes with D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY
Hi, I picked up the Sims 2 again recently and I've been experiencing crashes with the error message: "Direct3D returned an error: D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY". In the five times I've opened the game in the past few days, this has happened four times, anywhere from twenty minutes to a few hours into actually playing the game. In three cases, this was while changing outfits or appearances, and in the other, I was in neighbourhood view.

I've tried googling it, but any advice I've found has either been outdated, or otherwise unclear as to whether it would actually solve this problem or not. So, I'm sorry if there's a really obvious/well-known solution that I'm missing.

I'm using Windows 10, and I can provide other specs if required.

Any ideas? Thank you for your help!
