Great work! So bad there is no some objects in Sims 2 from Pet Stories. But this neighboorhood looks fascinating and very close to original! Maybe you`ll made something close to Sims Castaway Stories next time?

This is incredible work. Very Maxis-y, I love it!

Did I really say that?
- Well, at least yesterday is behind us now.

Thank you!

Just looked at it, and all lots are there, and as far as I can tell finished. The neighbourhood also has no characters, so it appears, to be exactly what I was looking for.

Beautiful looking neighborhood in the game! I just downloaded it and starting playing today--love it so far! My Sims don't usually have pets, so Mesa Flats is a nice change. Thank you Marka and the Hood group for sharing this hood.

I love it! but is it possible to make a downtown version? I always thought this neighborhood would make a great downtown for my Life/Pet/Castaway Stories super-hood.

@LifeUniverse&Everything

The downtown subhood versions are available now!
So, you should be able to create a superhood with Mesa Flats as a downtown now.

Good. That means that I don't have to probably corrupt my hood, by turning it into a downtown myself. Thank you Jawusa and Marka93.

There's no drama, like Sims drama.

Currently Playing: Sims 2 again!

If we use the Downtown version as our only Downtown will the game generate the usual Downtown features, such as Mrs Crumplebottom and NPC grand vampires? Will they be randomly generated, or can the game pull the ones out of the normal Downtown? And am I right that residents won't appear as walk-bys elsewhere, without a mod?

Yes all the universal sims will be in the first downtown you install in any hood.
They will look the same as they are in the original downtown because they are the same.

As for walk-bys I really don't remember because I have the mods that only allow walk-bys of the sims living in the hood.

Main hood only gets main hood sims walk-bys.
Downtown only gets downtown sims as walk-bys.

Now remember I do have the mods for walk-bys and this is what happens in my game.

I've download Stories stuff from here, there is a lot of links and I found it a bit tedious to go through, it does show up as custom content. But it works.

This looks great! I was just wondering if there’s any chance of getting a version where none of the households have beeen combined? (I’m primarily concerned with the Rambler cats being separate so I can choose who adopts them!)

Since they are just clones of the originals you can just get the base game hood and then create each animal and place them wherever you like.

The wrong versions of the base game compatible neighborhood (and subhoods with no pets) have been replaced with the correct versions.
So, the "no pets" neighborhoods (main hood + subhoods) have all the families moved in now.

Reason for this happening: Well, we just accidentally uploaded an earlier beta version of the neighborhood and thought it would be the final version.
But it's been replaced now. Sorry everyone!

Only re-download if you previously downloaded the no pets versions. There is no need to re-download if you got the Pets version.

WCIF these mods for walk-bys? I'm looking for similar mod for a long time.
