I actually had a very ridiculous and wtf ridiculous flavors but the mod que moderators would not approve them because they were too cheaty lol. Feel free to edit the pension levels yourself, but only for personal use (i.e. don't share it).

The profession careers are what's called "Active Careers". This means you have to control the sim while they are performing the job (ex. telling a firefighter sim to put out fires). They use a different pension calculation than this. Instead of a set number, they use a mutlipyer (default is 6). "This number is multiplied by the average earnings-per-day achieved over the lifetime of the career" according to the description. The main problem with modding this would be that high earning professions (like magician) would end up with more than wtf ridiculous pensions whereas low earning ones (ex. fire department) would end up with barely livable pensions.

So in short, although I hate to say it, I do not have plans for making such a mod in the near future.

What about self-employed careers? I enjoy having my sims be writers, sculptors and inventors. Will this help them with a nice retirement?

Unfortunately not, because EA is full of dumb-asses and there is no retirement system at all for self employed careers. The closest thing is to simply stop working.

The good news is that if your career has royalty payments (such as writers), they will continue to get it through their elder years. If they die before the royalties are paid in full, their family will receive the payments.

The one that works with 1.33 should work with 1.34. I am unable to check myself as I am halfway across the world from my gaming computer (on vacation) for the next week. However, Modder Velocitygrass has said there are no xml changes, which means the mod will work.

Thanks a bunch for this one! When I'm doing a No-Cheat Legacy game, I really have to wrack my brains to come up with ideas for helping my family make ends meet, and STILL have enough Simoleons to buy the things they and I both want, for the house, the lot, the kids, etc. We ALL wamt nice things, right? Your Mod is just what I've been looking for!

Is this mod working correctly with 1.38 patch?

I am currently going through my mods and checking for compatibility, however I can safely say this mod WILL NOT WORK with 1.38 and must be updated. I should have updates by Tomorrow morning at the absolute latest.

Sorry if this question is silly, but I'm really not a computer person at all. I noticed you said it would be incompatible with any other mod that modifies careers xml. I'm assuming that means Twallans career mods and custom careers?

Please wait more than three seconds after a patch is released to ask about compatiblity. We have a real life also, so be patient.

There is a compatibility report in my journal. I will link to it in the thread.
