I have a problem. I wanted to download the visit other neighbours mod from Backalley Sims but it says I have to register so I tried registering but there's no verification email. It keeps saying a verification Email has been sent but there's no such email. I tried with both my gmail accounts and also my Outlook account but nothing seems to happen. What do I do now!?

Don't bother. They're shutting it down on December 1st.

I registered, haven't been there for a long time, left it like that. Then I came back at the start of this year to download some mods... and for some weird reason they banned me... I haven't been active there at all, it might be the case, but why ban inactive members that then can't go back at all unless they make another ghost e-mail account.

I felt really offended when that happened.

It wasn't a real ban. That was another of their issues. They posted it on their forums. I can't recall offhand what the problem was or how to have it fixed, but I know it could have been as I had the same thing happen and had mine fixed.

Instead of simply deleting inactive users like a normal messageboard, they banned them. It was pretty dumb.

They could've at least informed their users... So at least they could delete accounts before they end up in limbo of ban.

like another poster told, probably check your BAS messages.
maybe also check if you can download from BAS.

there might be some chance of the BAS creators uploading their creations to other sites.
if they do upload elsewhere, some chance of such uploads being reported at BAS and/or at the other sites.

Some of the people I've given my login info are telling me they can't get it to work. I don't know why because it does work for me. At any rate, if you want to try, I will give it to anyone. For those who've not been able to make it work, I'm really sorry. If you know what you want, tell me and I will fetch it for you. I've not gotten this feedback from everyone, so I guess some people are able to do it.

Yeah, I don't know why it didn't work. I was hoping to read up on some of the mods before I got them, but if you're willing to retrieve them for us, I was interested in the Working Religions, Skiing, whatever "The Globe" is, Go to Work with your Sims, and whichever mod lets your sim visit other households.

I don't know what the deal is. Some people are apparently able to use it, and I don't have a problem at all. I was just on there in fact.

I don't think you can attach files to PMs here. Personally I use Sim File Share for that purpose, and include a link in the PM. I think it's a bit easier than using email. If you don't have an account at Sim File Share, I can send you an invitation code. Just let me know if you need one,.

Oh, yes, PLEASE! (and detailed instructions aimed at a toddler). That would be perfect! Then I could just park these there for anyone who wants them.

I would ask you for some files, but frankly I don't need any as I perfectly modded my game to suit my needs. The reason why I'm saying that I'd ask you for files is because it still says I'm banned when I try to download stuff even though I can view the forums since recently.

The site is plain weird. I read that you need to send a PM to ask site owners to un-ban or pull out of some kind of queue (basically make you active again). I would ask for it if it wasn't for the fact it's closing real soon.

A couple of months ago I had occasion to ask Chris a question. I kind of whined a little bit about the problems in navigating the site. To my complete surprise, he agreed with me. He wasn't the site owner and said every time it was tweaked, it got worse.

AndrewGloria, thank you for the invitation. I parked some of my stuff there, and will add to it as I can. But, I don't know how to direct people to it. The url at the top of it takes me back to the edit page, where I uploaded the files, rather than the page where just the folders appear. How do I find the url?
