The weather service said it was going too rain. Now that it's snowing, they say it's ... snowing.
Thank goodness they've finally are able to afford a window.

First of two book orders came in. The second will be in tomorrow. Time to slip into semi-hermit mode which a good thing considering the hot mess the sims community is in right now. Yikes!

Still lying in wait to figure out what charges were accounted for and which ones to keep my eye on.

Otherwise, I got things put back together in my world.

03/08/2019
With International Women's Day being today... I decided to exercise my skills as a how-to writer with heart. I just finished one on bleaching hair with box kits from the beauty sections after writing the bulk of the instructions and a display of my experience in beauty. My years of coloring my hair have served me well, but I still have yet to choose the next subject. Naturally, it would be how to color hair and I recommended the product oVertone in my bleaching tutorial

But aside from frivolous matter that would apply to the female 51% of the planet (trust me, beautician is my worst job. I am the least fashion forward person.)...

I'm going to be able to see a doctor again! I had some help rescheduling after the initial appointment was conflicting. But mostly I need to tell her that she prescribed a medicine my insurance will never cover and the eczema on my elbows is flaring up and I can't find the cream for it.

Well, my father is able to drive again after 90 days (TL;DR: He wasn't driving but he got arrested and the cop that took him to the station was the type to use kid gloves and our legal team had a lawyer that was a former judge). He regretted his actions, my mother realized being the chauffeur for the family was punishment enough for her and I have been reassured that things in the coming weeks will resume.

In all honesty, my father's charges against him had been a heavy weight on me wondering what will become of me if the fact I inherited addictive personality traits from both of them could harm me in the near future or further.

I have a number of food related addictions, but mainly the sensations in eating, and next week, I have to have a stern talking to with my doctor because an anti-obesity drug she prescribed will never ever be covered and ask for one in my insurance coverage (Yes my diet is like "mom with pregnancy of second child" bad, where I am a slave to my cravings and I know because I was my mother's second child and the cravings associated with me in the womb were tomato juice, liverwurst sandwiches and hot fudge sundaes). I have a limited coverage in terms of plans, medicine, devices and doctors. Sometimes, I have to go to the border of other counties for specialists.

So, although I am gauging this, solely on metrics with my situation...I have to say that eventually I will spend more time with my parents, during appointment days. I think life will lean in my favor a little bit and I will feel better soon. Trying to figure out things was difficult. Either way, my father's first drive since his punishment was to the restaurant where he works to clean the meat smoker.

Things are looking up for me and my family.

One of my best friends got out of the hospital!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!! I haven't really had the chance to catch up with her since she got taken to a psych ward drug dealer style but alas, I'm glad she's out and happy.

Also yesterday was a really good day. I saw two of my best friends including one I haven't seen in a really long time, and even though we didn't do anything super productive we watched comedy stand ups, listened to music and went to Subway so that was fun.

Andddd I might be clubbing Friday (if I'm up to it and have the money, which I don't know I will), so that's probably a good chance to get over some things I guess.

It's not your fault if you're addicted to something. It's a mental illness like anything else and I don't think people understand how dependent you can be on something because of your past trauma or things like that. Building health coping mechanisms is harder than calculus.

People forget that mental illness\disability is a real thing. Although there is a likelihood of a dependency on some form of assistance, I do my best to force myself to self advocacy of my health and since my father's sentence, I have to see a number of doctors like my old primary care physician, my psych therapists and specialists for a number of problems. However, it may take weeks to be able to fully treated everything that piled up.

Also, I dealt with bullying, hazing, assaults on my person and recently, I have been opening about a dark mishap that left me shy of the idea of dating anyone. My therapist has dealt with me at my worst. So life wasn't exactly fair.

No big deal, because I know two things. From dogmatic texts, that "the last comes first and the first come last" which means if your life is shit, eventually whoever mistreated you will end up living through the shitty treatment you got and you'll end up on top. Keep in mind that the system will work against you. The second thing is karma's definition of "Whatever abuse you faced, your abuser will face 3 times over"

Granted, I don't wholeheartedly have faith in that, but I do realize life works on its own schedule

Most of my coping is currently through taking medicine on time, learning to relax and try to occupy my mind with either a distraction or a constructive activity. I have tons of how-to-draw cartoon\manga books to the point it would be an entire floor-to-ceiling bookcase from Disney's Beauty and the Beast (1991) I have an entire shelf devoted to manga reference books originally published in Japanese from Japan and were translated into English by firms like Japanime (who works with publisher graphic-sha) and DMP (who had a book devoted to Tetsuwan Atom aka Astro Boy by the modern manga\anime pioneer Osamu Tezuka who was regarded in the same esteem as Walt Disney? At one point in recent history it was Hayao Miyazaki and John Lasseter (who, not only being regarded as innovators of animated features, Hayao with original takes on whimsical stories and John directed Toy Story, the first ever feature length CGI animated film, but also were very good friends to each other.)

Either way, the fact my parents are able to drive is helpful. I'm on panic meds and unable to drive because I am at risk of becoming a public hazard. So yes, another dent in the plans.

Don't worry too much about me. I am smart enough to figure out what to do next.

I'm chillin' to The Supremes; Weenie Deenie and Sterling are zooming around their cage. I wonder what was in the carrots they had earlier...

Old calculus and physics Textbooks: "ah haha! here's a finely worded semantic trap that we've not covered in the text so the professor can see who will come to his office and ask for help!"
New Calculus and physics textbook: "We'll cover the very basics and skip some of the stuff you're going to desperately need later".

Yeah between these two, I decided to go with the third option: My old Barns and Nobel College outline series calculus book. Small, concise and covers most everything. The problem is it's old and I'm afraid it will fall apart. But I must have courage! After all, the book has certainly noticed that it's reader is also falling apart! We shall fall apart together one last time!

Were they bagged? Or did you cut a big one up?

Spinach is to Popeye as carrots are to Houdini and Sterling, evidently.

My father went to a restaurant industry expo and he ran back to the restaurant to fix something and he's picking up a few things for dinner tonight once he's done.

This is his first day off. Technically, it was supposed to be yesterday, but the meat smoker needed cleaning (they smoke the meat on the premises)

Today, I will get a homemade pizza.

Edit: One of the best homemade pizzas I had in a long time. We New Jerseyans are all about pizza and when we make one, it has personality.

It wasn't buttcold out for the first time in a long time today, and that made me happy. Now it's raining instead of snowing and that also makes me happy, as that means that winter is on the way out. We did not get the 400 inches this year we normally get, and that also pleases me, but it DOES worry me as we rather rely on the snowpack for our water table in the summer. People with wells might run out this summer, if we don't have a rainy spring.

On one of the other forums I lurk on, a friend sent me some historical pictures of a guy I'm working on an English biography of; and they were very vital to my research. They made me very very happy. Like, super happy.

While I was out shopping for the week, I got to spend a few minutes playing with a 10-week old bully puppy. A bully in this case is a Pitbull or a Staffordshire Bull Terrier as they're formally called. He was too freakin' cute! And yes, there was jokes made between myself and puppy owner about how fierce and vicious the little squirt was. Puppy teeth and worse, puppy breath can be brutal.

Well, yesterday I found out what was hogging up HALF my hard drive - the Windows/Temp folder. Yes. The Temp folder was eating up 207 GIGS of space. I found what was up with the space discrepancy (scanned all the folders and such and couldn't account for the missing gigs and thought my hard drive was borked) and deleted 207 gigs worth of crap. So awesome to have such a roomy hard drive again. Kinda funny too 'cause I figured I didn't have 400 gigs worth of stuff on my 450 gig hard drive.

If you think you might have a problem like this, look up "TreeSize Free" on google and then use it to scan your hard drive. Look for any space hogs, and if Windows is taking up almost 270 gigs of space, then look in the Windows/Temp folder and delete the space-hogs.

Well, my parents just had a spat and it was nothing to worried about, in spite of the language used that could have been the divide.

But I am fine, just watch an ecology documentary, the world news and just amazed how people can be incredibly cruel to humanity and Mother Earth or absolutely understanding of where they stand in the universe.

Either way, things are back to normal.

It didn't make my day or anything, but I was just talking to my friend from work and I just thought about how she's spoken to me through facebook every day since everything happened over a month ago, and it makes me feel better that someone would go to that much effort just for me.

Well, I formatted my workstation and went back to Windows 7 I don't care if it's got less than a year of support left. I'll just keep using it until I upgrade to a more powerful machine (my workstation, an HP Z600, has 12 cores, 24 threads, 24 GB of RAM and also a GTX 750 Ti in it - it works great for what I do, but I know it's quite an old machine now!)

Finally got my computer ordered and figured out an installment plan to pay back the $2110 after tax.

Luckily, I am happy to report I am in less of a bad mood. The computer should be here next month because of the nature of the PC being custom built.

Eventually, we're going to pull apart Bessie II and see what data we can salvage from the internal hard drive.

Bessie II, lasted longer than Bessie I. I had Bessie I from 2007 to 2012 (5 years). We traded up to Bessie II in 2012 and she lasted until about 4 days ago (7 years).

Bessie II was an HP desktop and so is Bessie III. However, Bessie II was prepared for shipment in terms of being preassembled with beats-ready parts (I am an audiophile, particularly when it comes to my Eurodance music).

As for Bessie III, they gave me powerful options and took them into account. I made a data-hungry, super-fast monster. I found it necessary for my needs for my work in video production and gaming.

I may not have much money for April, what with subscriptions for free Amazon audio/video and shipping, Microsoft Office, some charge to Google, not to mention back debts to my mother and the kicker of coup de gras, 1 of 8 installments to pay for Bessie III...but it's going to be a bitchin' fast PC Tower which may eliminate some of the lagging (32GB is like giving Sonic the Hedgehog an energy drink.) But I worry I might tear the fabric of time and space and see my mother in an alternate timeline if she hadn't gotten involved with awful men and received a degree in quantum mechanics.

That last bit was a joke that my mother understands. She's very much aware of the actions one takes in time traveling is not without consequences.
