BTW, guise. I did something a little disturbing, and created realistic 3D models of Liranda and Aylatani. Some of you have seen them already, but I feel like giving the rest of the thread nightmares, so click on the spoiler-tag for the horror.
Liranda, in all her gothic glory. I created her using DAZ studio. (It's free, but most of the good content is for pay. People have this as their real job, and I could never bring myself to pirate from them. They also do major freebie giveaways twice every month, where you can get $250+ worth of stuff for $0.00.)
She gets to have a better wardrobe as a "Genesis 8" character. Lucky for her, I've got a good selection of gothish clothing.
Here's young, pre-goth Liranda. The hair she's wearing here is actually free.
Here we have her (in)famous mommy, Aylatani herself.
I never expected to be able to recreate her so accurately, but having several sets of sliders (or "morph dials," but they're basically sliders) certainly helped. It's actually hard to fit hairs on her, because her head is so misshapen it warps the hair!
Now I can subject a whole new audience to the travesty of Aylatani. But I probably shouldn't.

‘Hi! Thanks for coming out and meeting us.’
‘No problem. I figure you’d rather not look after four kids on your own.’
‘The others are coming along later. They just had some errands first, so I offered to go on ahead. Anyway, all we have to do is watch from a distance.’
‘Ooooh, it’s Raya’s friend!’
‘…Or not.’
‘Hi!’
‘Hey, nice to meet you.’
‘I should introduce this lot. This is Carmella, and the boys are Tristan, Zeus and Charon.’
‘Is he your boyfriend, Raya?’
‘Um, no. He’s just a good friend.’
‘Aww, that’s a shame. When are you gonna get a boyfriend?’
‘Probably not any time soon… Why does it matter?’
‘Because it’d be really sweet! Aria said she’s never getting one, so that means you should.’
‘No way! If she gets a boyfriend, she won’t spend as much time with us!’
‘Hey, I’ll always have time for you lot.’
‘C’mon guys, I wanna go skating.’
‘Yeah, why don’t you do that? We’ll watch you.’
‘Alright! Last one to the skating rink smells of poo! And Zeus smells of poo anyway!’
‘You’re such a jerk, Tristan!’
‘Be nice to each other!’
‘…Wow. I bet they’re kind of a handful, huh?’
‘They sure like to bicker.’
‘Are you gonna skate at all?’
‘Well, I could, but I might fall flat on my face.’
‘Hey, I’d catch you if that happened.’
‘Haha, I’ll hold you to that.’
‘So what are your plans for after school? You didn’t apply to uni, did you?’
‘No, I didn’t. Edward’s a bit disappointed, since Aria didn’t either. He thinks we’re wasting our potential.’
‘Well, you’re obviously smart to be in the top classes at school.’
‘Thanks.’
‘Why aren’t you going, then?’
‘Same reason as Aria. I guess I’m afraid to move out of the area and not be near the triplets.’
‘It’s your life too, though. You can’t put it on hold for the triplets, even though you do care about them. That’s what their mum’s for.’
‘It’s not their mum I’m worried about.’
‘…Raya, if you think he’s badly hurting them, don’t you think it needs more than just you sticking around?’
‘I don’t think he’s hurting them. He’s nicer to them than he ever was to us, I know that much. But they need someone to come to if that changes. Someone who understands. And nice as Roxxi is, she buried her head in the sand when we came to her with… the truth.’
‘Yeah, good point… How can she stay with someone she knows treated his older kids like shit?’
‘I think she’s trapped, Logan. Ellis said she was really worried about being on her own. Her parents wouldn’t support her. And I believe it. I met them, they were weird. Nobody normal happily marries off their nineteen-year-old to a man in his forties.’
‘God… he’s kinda gross, isn’t he?’
‘Tell me about it.’
‘Sorry, Raya. I didn’t mean to upset you.’
‘It’s fine. But it explains why I don’t feel comfortable going. Besides, there’s opportunities here, I’m sure of it. I’ll just look for other local courses and jobs. I like cooking, maybe I could find something related to that. And plenty of jobs can be a career, right? With promotions, and stuff.’
‘Yeah, good point.’
‘So what about you? You applied, didn’t you?’
‘Yeah, but… well, I also applied to the fire service.’
‘The fire service?’
‘…I’ve always thought it’d be good to be a firefighter. It’s a really necessary job. I’ve been working a lot on my fitness. So if I get in, it’ll be a great opportunity.’
‘Well, good for you. That’s really brave…’
‘Thanks. I might not even get it, but hey… Are you alright?’
‘I won’t lie and say fire doesn’t terrify me. And the thought of you being in that position terrifies me even more. But if it weren’t for firefighters, I’d be dead, so…’
‘…Y’know, you called me brave, but I think you’ve been just as brave.’
‘I wouldn’t willingly go into another fire, though.’
‘Nor should you. I’m just saying, I couldn’t begin to imagine what it was like. And maybe I’ll be able to prevent people going through what you did.’
‘Logan… I’m glad people like you exist.’
‘Well, thanks. That means a lot to me.’
‘…Maybe none of it’ll matter anyway, if your band makes it big.’
‘Oh, yeah. That’d be the best thing!’
‘Though I’d miss you guys if that happened. Always going away on tour.’
‘Well, if that happened, we could just take you with us on tour. As a caterer, or something. If you ignore the whole triplets situation, anyway.’
‘Yeah… it’s a nice thought.’
‘It’ll all work out. We’ll find a way to stick together. If it’s uni for me, I’ll still be local. And if it’s the band… By then the triplets might be all grown up anyway.’
‘Good point. I can barely believe they’re nearly ten.’
‘Besides, it takes a long time to break into the music industry, if you ever do manage it. It won’t be the end of the world if we don’t. It’d be great, but having the band just as a side gig would be fine.’
‘It’s good to have a realistic backup plan.’
‘Hey, sorry we’re late. Are they behaving?’
[
‘About as much as normal.’
‘So, mostly, then.’
‘Yep.’
‘Go on, we’ll take over. You two go off and do something fun.’
‘Are you sure?’
‘Yeah, go on.’
‘Maybe we should try that skating after all.’
‘Well, it’s either that or dancing, which I’m not great at either. And I’m not going to subject anyone to kissing me at that booth, so…’
‘I’m sure someone like you doesn’t need to pay someone to kiss them…’
‘Oh, thank you… Alright, let’s skate, then.’
‘He seems a nice young man.’
‘Yeah, I think so too. Good job, really, because I think he quite likes her, and if he wasn’t, I’d have to come after him.’
‘I think she quite likes him, as well.’
‘Looks like it.’
‘Bless her. It’s weird to think she’s rapidly approaching adulthood. Where did all that time go?’
‘I wish I knew.’
‘It feels like life is passing me by, sometimes. But what time do I even have, after work and childcare?’
‘You do have time, you just spend it online. Whether that’s a good use of it, only you can decide.’
‘It’s easier to connect with people on there… They’re usually into the same things as me, and I don’t have to explain to them about being a single dad.’
‘God, why am I saying all of this? Sorry, I’m coming over all gloomy.’
‘I understand, though. I know what you’re saying. But look on the bright side: at least one of us is gonna be well-adjusted.’
‘Yeah, and I’m really grateful for how mature she’s turned out. I just hope she hasn’t aged too prematurely. God knows the girl needs to have some fun now and again.’
‘She’ll be fine, Ellis. We’ll make sure of that. We always do.’

Good work keeping the flag flying here Nat. I'm enjoying your posts, and eagerly awaiting more.
And TigerAnne: as you know I'm a big fan of your Starblooms et al. I think Liranda, Aylatani and the rest will fit right in here. I only wish I had the time and patience to get to grips with DAZ studio, I'd love to see what I could do with some of my characters.
Still no update from me I'm afraid. I am still working on it, but finding it hard going. I will be working on it today and hope to make some progress.
But I did write some prose stuff. Since it is pertinent to the historical back ground of my story, I suppose I can post it here.
Songs are sung of how darkness came upon the Blossom River lands, and how the folk took arms against the hosts of the Dragonlord and were triumphant at the last. Yet all had been in vain had it not been for one woman's sacrifice.
For they were hard beset and the battle was like to have gone against them. But Polybius, she that was abbess of Simlica in those days, went alone to confront the sorceress Queen B'halla. And with the aid of a certain amulet, given to her it is said by the Watcher himself, she turned that demon queen to stone.
And with the passing of her power confusion fell upon the the enemy and they faltered. Then the Knights of the Hand drove through their host with great slaughter. Sir Hugh Standing led that charge. Well advanced in years he was by then, and men thought it a marvel that he wielded his great sword with no less might than in his days of youth. Few dared stand before him, till at last he met with Draco, the Dragonlord. Long they fought, but at the last was Draco slain, he that was accounted the mightiest champion of that age. Then dismay fell upon the enemy host and they fled in terror before the wrath of the Blossom River men.
Yet was the joy of that great victory marred with grief. For when they sought for Abbess Polybius they found her lying as one dead. Though no mark or wound was seen upon her, it seemed she had taken some grievous hurt from B'halla's dark sorcery. They bore her to the Abbey but, although they laboured long to restore her, the surgeons could find no sign of life in her. It seemed her spirit had departed and would not return.
Long she lay in state in the great chapel, and all those of Simlica, and the town of Riverblossom and the country round came to mourn her and to say their farewells. For throughout her merry childhood, and her bright youth as a novice, and her days as a Sister at the Abbey and later as Abbess, she had earned all their loves. And now she had lain down her life for their sakes. It was a bitter loss.
But after some days had passed it became a matter of some wonder and a great marvel that no pallor of death visited her body, nor was any sign corruption seen in her. And all marked how fair she looked: how all lines of care and weariness that had come to her face in the days of danger were fallen from her. And to those who had known her longest it seemed she was again the girl who had been a novice amongst them. She was as one who slept, and for this reason they were afraid to place her in any tomb, lest she should awaken therein.
And so they devised for her a casket, most cunningly wrought of clear crystal, framed with gold, and marvellous fair. And it is said that there were holes provided in the lid thereof that the air might enter and she might breathe an' she would. And they fashioned it also that it might be opened by her from within, should she awaken. Yet she stirred not.
Then a shrine was made for her within the chapel and, by turns, her Brothers and Sisters kept vigil by her night and day. And they sang to her at times, but no solemn hymn or requiem was thought more fit than the songs she herself had sung when in life. For since ever she had been a little maid she had loved to sing, as she went about her daily tasks, or wandered the country lanes, the forest trails and the green hills, with her faithful protector Ursula by her side.
Long she lay there, and pilgrims from far and wide came to see that marvel and to honour her. And for reason of the faithful service of her life, for her wisdom and her kindness, and for the sacrifice she had made, she was declared a saint. St. Polybius the Younger of Simlica she was called. And Polybius the Gentle. And Polybius the Valiant. But to the simple country folk, that had loved her for her laughter and her jests, she was just 'Merry Pol'.
Of what became of that shine in later days little can be said for certain. But this tale was long held to be true in the Blossom River country:
Years had passed when, upon a time, there came to the Abbey some certain knights. The great age of chivalry was passing away, and such men were now seldom seen in those lands. But true knights these were and goodly, all armed in full panoply of war. They were six in number, all ancient in years, but still hale and fit. And folk saw that they had once been fair hansom men, though they now bore the scars of many battles. And it is told that these were the last of that noble Brotherhood of the Hand that had remained faithful.
And he that was their leader came unto the Abbess and said: “We are come for the one who sleeps within, for the Watcher hath called her home”.
Then all the Brothers and Sisters who heard were grieved, for they would not have her taken from them, nor be parted from their charge. And they yet believed that one day she would return to life. And it was said that one who had the gift of prophesy had foretold that in days to come darkness would come again upon those lands, and then in the hour of their direst need Polybius would return to them.
But the Abbess said unto them: “Be still and have faith! The prophesy we have heard shall yet hold. For I too have the gift of prophesy, and the Watcher hath revealed to me in a dream that this day must come. Our charge is done, and the Watcher must now keep her”.
And so the knights entered into the chapel and took up the casket and bore it forth. And all those Brothers and Sisters followed after them in sad procession. And they sang praises to the Watcher as they went.
Long was that journey down to the haven, and it is said that folk from all the Blossom River lands flocked to join them, so that there was a great throng gathered at the harbours at Winterton. They were come to say a last farewell their Merry Pol. And there, at the quay, lay a ship most wondrous fair. Her timbers were inlaid with mother-of-pearl and precious stones, her silken sails were as white as a swans wings, and a fair figure head like unto a swan she had also. And those that manned the oars seemed as tall, fair youths. But some amongst the older folk knew them for Elves, though none of that fair folk had been seen in that country for many a long year.
Then the Knights carried Polybius in her casket aboard the ship and laid her upon the platform prepared for her.
Then the Abbess said unto the knight. “Is this then the end of our story? Must Simlica now pass away and be forgot? Has all that we have built here and laboured for been in vain?”
And the knight said. “So it must be with all things that Men build or shape with their hands. They may endure for an age or more, but must crumble and pass away at the last. Such is the way in these mortal lands. The world changes, and if Man cannot change also he too must pass away. But as you have urged your Brothers and Sisters, so I now urge you: keep faith. Place not your trust in towers and walls. It is those things that abide in the hearts of men and women that shall endure. For has not that girl in the casket shown you this? Before the power of love all darkness must fail. Before love even Death himself shall stand dismayed. For nought that loves, or is loved, or ever will be loved shall ever truly pass away”.
And he said to the people that were gathered there: “Let not your hearts be downcast! She goes now to the Watcher who shall keep her safe. You have kept faith and the Watcher will not forget you. Though an age and more shall pass. and all the deeds of our days be forgot, yet He shall remember you. And e'en should darkness come again upon this land, He will keep his promise. Farewell!”
Then he and those other knights went aboard that ship. The moorings were cast off and men pushed her out with long poles. The oars dipped and swished in the flat and calm waters as she pulled slowly out into the bay. Then her sails were set, the wind filled them, and she turned her graceful swan head towards the West, where the sun hung low over the azure sea.
And as she went the folk of Blossom River, young and old, standing upon the harbour walls and upon the beaches, sang their last song of farewell:
And they watched as the ship grew smaller and smaller, black against the setting sun. And then it was gone. And with that sailing Golden Simlica and all her days of glory passed forever into legend.

Sail away, thou gentle maiden
To a fair and blessed shore
Where from dreaming thou shalt waken
Unto sunshine ever more
Thou shalt see the smiling faces
Of the friends who've gone before
Hand in hand to sing forever
Love and laughter ever more.
We who stay shall not forget you
Here upon this darker shore
The love you gave us we will cherish
In our hearts for evermore.
To a fair and blessed shore
Where from dreaming thou shalt waken

Legend is history as we would like it to be. We pick through the dusts of time for what is worth keeping and, here and there, we occasionally find treasure.

Nice prose piece, Elynda. The writing style really gave it a proper old story feel.
I'm struggling, guys. I don't want to admit it, but writing these scenes is becoming difficult. I just have to persevere with this.
NSFW talk in this one, but that's nothing new.
‘Hey, could you turn the TV off? I need to talk to you.’
‘Of course. Is something wrong?’
‘No, nothing really wrong, but there’s something I have to tell you.’
‘Tate, I’m pregnant.’
‘…Oh.’
‘Yeah. I didn’t expect it, either.’
‘How did this happen?’
‘Well, probably when you ejaculated in me-’
‘No, I mean, your pills? Didn’t you take them properly?’
‘I thought I did, but nothing's ever 100% safe. I didn't deliberately mess anything up. You’re not blaming me, are you?’
‘Sorry. No, of course not. I’m just surprised, that’s all. We’d been careful.’
‘I know. These things happen, though… it didn’t take you long to get me pregnant when we were actually trying.’
‘That’s very true. I’ve always been fertile.’
‘How do you feel? It’s certainly not your first time, and you’re quite old to be becoming a dad again…’
‘Oh, nonsense. It doesn’t matter, as a man. And I’m as fit as ever! It’s not an issue.’
‘So… you don’t mind keeping it?’
‘I can’t say I was expecting another child right now, especially so long after the triplets, but now one exists, I’m not going to object.’
‘That’s how I feel, too… I’d feel too bad to get rid of it.’
‘And it’s not like we can’t manage. Far from it! We’re well-equipped to deal with another child.’
‘Yeah, you’re right. I’m glad you agree.’
‘I don’t think we should tell the kids just yet. You can’t be very far gone, surely?’
‘I don’t think so, no. We’re better keeping it quiet until I’ve seen the doctor and dated it.’
‘Great. I wonder how the kids will feel, anyway.’
‘Surprised, probably… I hope they don’t get jealous.’
‘They might be a bit jealous, but they’re also old enough to feel protective over it. I’m sure they can easily be sold on the idea of being responsible big brothers and sister.’
‘That’ll be nice.’
‘Hey, come in.’
‘Thanks for inviting me over. I really needed to get out. And I really don’t feel like revising.’
‘Good job I finished mine for the day, then.’
‘Hi, honey.’
‘Hi, Maria! Good to see you as always. How you doing?’
‘Not bad at all. What about you? I hear you’ve all been practising a lot.’
‘Oh yeah, we’re doing great. The minute we leave school, I’m gonna start trying to line up gigs for us.’
‘Good luck. Wow, it’s not far off now, is it? I can’t believe where all the time has gone.’
‘You’re not gonna get sentimental, are you, Mum?’
‘But you’re all grown adults now! How can I not get sentimental? My baby’s eighteen now.’
‘Yeah, Logan, let her have a moment. I’m sure I’d be the same if I had a kid turn eighteen.’
‘I can’t imagine you with a kid.’
‘Me neither, but that’s beside the point.’
‘Anyway, we’re going to the mall, if you’d like to come with us.’
‘Oh, sure, but I didn’t bring much money.’
‘That’s okay, Heath. Actually, I want to buy your suit for prom.’
‘What? Oh no, you don’t need to do that.’
‘I want to, honey. I don’t like the idea of you missing out on prom when all of your friends are going.’
‘I’d feel bad about you paying for me, though.’
‘You are a dear family friend to us. Don’t feel bad about accepting anything from me. I’m all too happy to give it.’
‘Yeah, man, let her help out.’
‘Well… thanks, Maria. I don’t know what to say.’
‘You boys just have a good night at your prom. That’s all the payment I need!’
‘In that case, I’ll buy a ticket first thing tomorrow!’
The next day…
‘Hey, do you think it’s worth it for me to try to ask someone out?’
‘’Course I do. You know I think you make a great catch.’
‘But… do you think a straight girl could ever be interested in me?’
‘It depends.’
‘I don’t see how. I’m straight, and I don’t know if I could like dick, even if it were attached to a woman. I’d try, at least, because I wouldn’t want to discount someone of the basis of being trans, but…’
‘It’s hard to answer, ‘cos I like both. I can’t imagine being repulsed by anyone’s genitals. But it’s not like you can’t find other ways to please a woman. Toys exist, don’t they?’
‘And me? Would she want to touch me?’
‘All you can do is ask. Now, I don't mind hearing you out at all, but is there a reason this conversation keeps coming up?’
‘…I don’t wanna risk ruining our friendship.’
‘…You mean Saraya, don’t you?’
‘Yeah. Pretty obvious, right?’
‘Yeah, and you know what else I find obvious?’
‘What?’
‘She likes you too, idiot.’
‘Hey, that’s not obvious at all!’
‘Yeah, you’re a guy, alright.’
‘Now that’s just sexist.’
‘I’m just saying, aren’t we meant to be bad at picking up on signals? Took me a while to realise Lisa was into me — until she wasn’t, since I liked dick — but that’s irrelevant! I think Saraya fancies you.’
‘Damn, I really hope you’re right…’
‘And she knows now about you. So if that had changed anything, she wouldn’t be getting so flustered around you. Hell, she called you good looking!’
‘So have you and I’m pretty sure you’re not out to bang me.’
‘She doesn’t have our bromance, though. And she’s not the type to walk up to you and tell you she wants to sit on your face, is she? I know, I’m not the kind of person you want romantic advice from, but I really think you’d do fine.’
‘I might joke, but you’ve had more experience than me at this point.’
‘Let’s not go wild. It was only making out.’
‘I’d love to get that far. Anyway, do you think I could ask her out at prom?’
‘Why, are you planning on having one of those cliched prom nights where you drag her off to a cheap motel? Fairly sure the Windfall’s been shut down for years…’
‘Um, no, that’s way too much too soon. Anyway, if I were gonna be really cliched, I’d have to knock her up.’
‘Ooof. I bet her dad would be pissed about that. That’s another thing about all this…’
‘I’d be more worried about her sister, honestly. Aria’s nice, but she can be scary.’
‘Yeah, good point. Anyway, sure, try it at prom. It’d be… romantic, at least.’
‘Exactly. But… what if I get shot down? In public? That’d suck.’
‘Hmm… Go somewhere quiet? Then nobody’ll see, and she’s not the kind of person to make a big deal about it.’
‘You’re right.’
‘But you’ve got this. She’d be crazy to turn you down.’
‘Thanks.’

I'm so happy for Heath, right now! Maria is such a sweet person. <3 It's not all bad news for Roxxi either, as we know the baby is Julius.

Thanks, you two Making Heath happy makes me happy.
No update yet, but it's coming along. I said I was feeling burnt out by the past scenes so I've decided to do something else instead. I wasn't going to do it just yet, but I want to add some extra scenes to my index, because a couple of storylines are underdeveloped and not where I want them to be
Also, if anyone has any suggestions for a character to do an AMA, I'm well up for that. But Tate, Miles, Heath, Ellis and Stanley are not options because I did them before.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting that to happen. Sad as it is, at least it's not the thread itself going. I've got too many posts I'm yet to reupload onto Blogspot
Anyway, we're going back to March 2017. I'm in the last bit of undergraduate studies and starting to recover from the utterly horrific previous year- oh wait, that's real life. Over in Sunset Valley, Fran begs for money, Tate takes issue with Saraya's interfering, and Jude seeks out a new job. (Whether you reread or simply skim is up to you, but it's been nearly two real world years and I imagine you need reminders). The following post takes place directly after these, and it should be the new update 210 on the index once I put it there. I'm putting it in a separate post for the sake of the index (oh god, how much spoilery talk will I need to remove in the past scenes posts?).

‘I gotta admit, Jude, you’re good. Really good. Where’d you train?’
‘I was training with Nick Raven, but… I can’t afford the sessions any more.’
‘He’s that indie wrestler, right?’
‘Yeah. You know him?’
‘Heard of him. Wrestling and MMA tend to share the same scene. But you’d know that already.’
‘That’s right. Ideally, I’d like to be a wrestler one day. I know it’s a tough industry to break into, though. That’s why I want to go to university, for a backup career.’
‘Yeah, don’t blame you. There’s fuck all else in Sunset Valley. Get out while you can. Still, I’m happy to keep you on. There’s been a big surge in interest for women’s MMA. I can definitely find a slot for you.’
‘Thanks, Boss. That’s perfect.’
‘So… what’s the deal with Susannah?’
‘Oh, it’s kind of a long story.’
‘Alright, I’ll keep my nose out.’
‘I take it you know her, too.’
‘’Course. And you knew where to find me, didn’t you? Pretty obvious we run in the same groups. Or rather, you were born into it.’
‘I’m not the kid she wanted. Well, she didn’t want a kid at all, but I’m kind of a shit daughter for her to relate to. I’m not feminine, I’m into wrestling, and for a while everyone was convinced I’m a lesbian. See, even you’re looking surprised.’
‘Ain’t nothing wrong with being a lesbian.’
‘No, but it kinda sucks to have guys pass over you ‘cos they think you’re too butch, and they’re threatened by muscular women. But it’s fine. I found a guy who likes me for me.’
‘Well, good for you. You can invite him to your debut.’
‘Ha. No, I’m keeping this secret. He’s from a much nicer background… don’t wanna suddenly introduce him to all this gang shit.’
‘You’re just gonna fight, Jude. Leave the gang shit to me. I’ll let you know when I’ve booked you onto the card, anyway. A lot of the other fighters hang round my gym anyway, so whoever it is, you can probably meet her before the event.’
‘That’s great. Thanks again.’
‘Don’t mention it.’
‘Man, you guys have had a shit time of it lately, haven’t you?’
‘You’re telling me.’
‘…Sorry, am I allowed to swear around the baby?’
‘It's fine for now, but once they’re older, it’s obviously not allowed. I might’ve grown up around swearing, but I don’t want to see my own child doing it.’
‘Yeah, same here. It’s trashy. Fuck knows I don’t wanna follow my mum’s example, if you can ignore the irony of that statement.’
‘We’re adults. We can swear among friends, just as long as we’re not teaching it to the little ones.’
‘Are you alright?’
‘Yeah, don’t worry. Mum being shit is nothing new. She must’ve been desperate to come to me, though. It’s been two years.’
‘It’s her own problem. If you’d given in to her, she’d just keep coming back for more whenever she feels like it.’
‘What he said. Addiction’s a terrible thing, but you have to try to take responsibility for it at some point. It’s not an excuse to be nasty to your own child.’
‘I fucking hate drugs. Which makes picking this profession a stupid idea. Who heard of a fucking rocker who hates drugs?’
‘Straight edge exists for a reason, man.’
‘I’m not straight edge.’
‘But still. At least you’ve got a better choice at living longer.’
‘You don’t need to be some stereotypical rock star to be a musician. At the end of the day, you’ll come home to a nice family — without that cow involved in it — and be safe.’
‘You’re forgetting one big thing.’
‘What?’
‘He joined into the Farrington family.’
‘Well, I meant safe from vices, not safe from… bald twats.’
‘Oh, jeez. I’m worried enough about Mum without having to think about Tate coming after us as well.’
‘It’ll be me he comes after, if anyone. You don’t need to worry.’
‘Uh, that’s a pretty valid thing to worry about.’
‘What are you gonna do? Do you think he’ll come after you?’
‘Maybe, maybe not. He said it was a final warning…’
‘I’m not letting shit happen to any of us. He’ll have to go through me if he wants to get to you or Mattie.’
‘This is some bullshit, man. We should be happy at a time like this. You’ve just had a baby.’
‘But you look pretty good, all things considered!’
‘Not being the one to push it out helps! I’m pretty exhausted, though.’
‘I know the feeling. After Nix was born, me and Ellis were zombies for a while.’
‘You having Nix makes this a lot better for us, though. Obviously, there’s my mum as well, but it helps that I can ask you for advice. You’re another young dad like me.’
‘Any time. If either of you find yourselves alone with Mattie, feel free to come over to ours.’
‘Thanks.’
‘In fact, why don’t we make some kind of arrangement? I know your hours aren’t regular, Logan, but maybe we could agree to have one afternoon a week with the kids?’
‘Yeah, like a Dads Club!’
‘That’s a great idea! I think that’d be great for both of you.’
‘It’d be good for Nix to spend time with her cousin and get used to interacting with babies. I can support you, and the two of us can chill! Well, as much chilling as is involved with little kids, anyway. Not very much of that with Nix right now, but y’know.’
‘I really like the sound of that. We should definitely do it.’
‘Damn, you’re almost making me want to get a baby and join in.’
‘You still get uninterrupted sleep, though, so not having a kid does give you that big advantage.’
‘Good point! I’ll carry on valuing it.’

Awww, best-buds Logan and Heath are gonna raise their children together, so they can grow up best friends too! <3 Tate had better not do anything to hurt them. I've got an Evil Wizard(TM) with a time machine to sick on him if he tries anything.

Logan and Heath being dads together is such a wholesome thing. Good job Tate doesn't give a shit about his grandchildren.

So glad you liked it I hope my jumping around in time isn't too confusing.
So, here's the thing... I'm working on multiple posts right now. Definitely a stupid idea but it's hard to decide, y'know? One involves building a somewhat complex set (which is going to be hard to pull off), another involves editing some one-off sims and whining about not being able to find CC for it (why has nobody made a rosette that isn't for horses or even a simple badge to pin to someone's chest? clearly CC creators don't have elections in mind), and others involve some disjointed writing of various scenes that can't be put together. I really make life easy on myself.
Coming soon, I guess.

I'm wondering now if there's any of those voting signs people stick in their lawns like you see in American media. Or at least something that could be made up to look like one. Hmmm.

That'd be cool if possible but I might just have to deal with it. :/
I only managed a short post this time; because of the particular place I'm adding it, there wasn't much that could go with it. To make up for that, I added an extra scene to this post from October 2016 because it was short enough. For context: it's just after the post where Nyla returns home (169. Lewd jokes in the index) following her running off to Bridgeport due to Tate's threats.
New post in the post after this one. It'll be added to the index after 237. Fire fallout.

‘This is a nice bar. I'm surprised we haven't come here before.’
‘Yeah, it’s a good place to sit outside. And the drinks aren’t too expensive.’
‘God, that reminds me of this really crappy pub back home. People just go because it's cheap and they serve underage people… At least young people here have better options!’
‘I bet you're glad not to be underage any more.’
‘I know. I’m supposed to be an adult now! It doesn’t feel like it.’
‘No, it doesn’t. But it’s hard to when you’re still in school, no?’
‘Yeah, definitely. At least going out for a drink like this makes me feel more of an adult.’
‘…Though it’s hard to enjoy it properly.’
‘Why?’
‘My family back home are… well, going through some tough things.’
‘Oh? But they had fun visiting here, right?’
‘They did, but… On the last day, my brother-in-law got a call from home. Someone had set their house on fire.’
‘Damn, what the fuck?’
‘It was deliberate arson. And the worst bit, well… I really don't wanna admit this, but we think it was my dad.’
‘Your dad? Why would he do something like that?’
‘Because he’s evil. Amos, the reason we moved here so abruptly… well, we’d been planning our escape for a while but had to postpone the move when Tristan was attacked. But we left in a hurry, because my dad hit me during an argument.’
‘Oh man. I’m sorry.’
‘Thanks. We got into a fight because he discovered I was the one running the anti-Tiberium group. It got really heated and he lashed out at me. Mum went mad over it and punched him.’
‘Wow, go Roxxi!’
‘Yeah, she’s a good mum. It all escalated really badly though, and we weren’t safe. We never were. That’s why we had to run away. Dad’s a really dangerous man.’
‘I had no idea. That’s awful. You really think he’s bad enough to set his kid’s house on fire, though?’
‘Nobody else has a grudge against Saraya. She’s a lovely person. Nobody’d want to hurt her. He was sending a message, because she was once burned in a fire…’
‘Holy shit! That’s sick!’
‘That’s Dad… and he was already mad at her because… Oh God, you must think my family’s so messed up.’
‘It’s okay. It’s not your fault your dad is a jerk.’
‘Doesn’t look good, though. Because my auntie Brie is living with him right now. She was having an affair with him behind Mum’s back and after we left, she moved in.’
‘…Wow.’
‘It was revenge over that. My sister went to go warn Brie about Dad and what he’d done. He found out and he was pissed, so…’
‘And she still stayed? Why the hell would she do that?’
‘My family is a mess, Amos. That’s why I didn’t tell you much before. It’s humiliating.’
‘Hey, I’m not judging you. Okay, I didn’t expect any of this, but it doesn’t make me think any different of you.’
‘Are you sure? It’s far from normal.’
‘Maybe, but I don’t care. Those people doing those things is nothing to do with the way you act. You don’t have anything to do with them for a reason.’
‘Yep… We wanted a fresh start. At least to put some distance between us…’
‘I don’t blame you.’
‘I like it here, though. I feel more like I’m settled in now. Though I do miss my family. It sucked to have their visit end on such a sour note but it’s nothing new for us, I guess. Anyway… Sorry to go on about it. I hope I haven’t made a bad impression.’
‘No, don’t worry. I feel bad for you having to go through all that. At least you’re safe here. What about your sister? What's she gonna do?’
‘I don’t know, yet. They’ve got security measures and stuff so I really hope they’re protected.’
‘Yeah… let’s hope so.’
‘Thanks for understanding.’
‘It’s fine. You can talk to me about it any time. It sounds like it’s been pretty stressful for you.’
‘Oh man, yeah. It’s not fun at all. I’m prone to worrying a lot anyway, so things like this don’t help… But some of us being safe is better than none of us, y’know?’
‘Yeah! And your mum is great for leaving and taking you along. That must have been hard for her to do.’
‘Very. So… We’re still adapting. It’s a whole new life. Least of all I, uh, don’t have to hide my sexuality any more…’
‘Good for you.’
‘Well, I-I’m bi, not gay, but still…’
‘Me too.’
‘Ah, cool… That’s awesome.’
‘It feels good to be honest, doesn’t it?’
‘Exactly. Dad never would’ve accepted it, but he’s just not my problem any more! He can’t get to me!’

Is it bad form that I saved the original posts and pictures from the first couple pages? Because I did to read about the main branch offline after some internet trouble like a year or so back and I'm not sure if that was a foul move or not. Yay or nay? Was this a dick move? If yes bad form, I can always delete it, I only archived it for myself and didn't show anyone and my document drive is private
Brought up basically because I saved the original photos that won't load anymore up to a point and people are asking about it but I have no contact with Mingham who's changed his name since the beginning sooo
help im conflicted
