And now for something not so grand or colorful - my frontier town general store. Note the rifle on the counter...

Strangetown's "tattoo and piercing studio", really a store where sims can buy piercings/jewelry as well as dee-dee-sims' tattoo overlay objects (the tattoo posters, ink bottles and tattoo guns). I usually never build, and only furnish/decorate out of obligation, but I had a lot of fun with this and am pleased with the result.

Entrance and waiting area
Tattoo area
Piercing area

Which of your businesses are the most profitable?

Here are some of mine from Lacuna Delta.

Boggle Electronics (Ann Droid), one of the first businesses established in the town, crafted and retail electronics. Rank 10, 2 employees and a manager. Huge turnover but very little profit!

Aphrodite's Business (Aphrodite Nouveau-Riche), the first business she opened (she now has five). Hairdressing salon. Rank 3, no employees. Small profit with no expenses at all after initial capital expenditure.

Amore Art (Moana Amore), crafted and retail wall art. Rank 5, 2 employees. Has almost made back the original expenditure plus a nice profit each session.

Flower Power (Hadrian Rossiter), crafted and retail flowers, plants and wall art. Rank 10, 2 employees. Nice healthy profit there!

The wooden spoon award goes to the biggest loser, Sim Sample. I have no other sim who can fail to make money like he can. This is Hommage Du Fromage II (the first one nearly bankrupted him, now he lives with Moana Amore so his business lives off the profits of her business ) Grilled cheese restaurant and bar, somehow rank 5, 3 employees. Making a loss every session! The customers seem happy, though- which is not surprising as he's sleeping with them all.

I have many other businesses too. Show me yours!

Default Centralia City Park
Not exactly a shop or business, but I guess this might be the best thread for a city park? If it fits better somewhere else, please let me know.

I'm actually kinda proud of this park. I liked the way it came out and it's fun to see my sims there (...when I remember to visit it). There are trees so it's bit hard to see everything. At the main entrance is the phone and bench for people to sit on while waiting for a taxi. There's also parking, thanks to Mog's mod, though it looks like I might have forgotten to put in the car spawners for the other two spaces. Also also, I absolutely love this tile set that makes parking lots and driveways so nice looking.

A close-up of the playground area for the kids. Please excuse Walter's head and the people around him. He finally got to fulfill his want to Freestyle for Tips

A place near the playground for parents to sit and watch their kids, or to play chess.

Basketball hoops for the more sporty-minded, plus restrooms and snack area.

Finally, the picnic area with grills and tables.

Default The Tinkers have opened their garden toy shop

The Tinkers have opened a toy shop in the workshop at the back of their garden. This picture was taken minutes after it opened. The boy in the yellow shorts is Roger Jeffrey, and he is Melody's new boyfriend. A few minutes later he bought the teddy bear -- the first item sold in the shop. The woman in the green dress is Fay Briggs from Monopolis. She's married to Val Briggs, who is Head of Planning there. She's expecting, so it would make sense for her to buy some toddler toys. She hung around the shop all afternoon, but she never bought anything (although she's got plenty of money). I'm afraid she's probably the main reason why the Tinkers are still at Rank Zero.

This park for Aileen Landing (a custom desert hood) is old and dirty, but pet-friendly and overrun with kids. In the background it looks like a looming sand storm..a distant hill?

In case anyone is bored and looks here...My casino called "Hit on 17" (if you know poker, you'll get the joke.)

Very tacky exterior only rivaled by the casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey

You enter a world of unparalleled...um, something.

Gamble away the rent money in style.

Enjoy our complimentary buffet with champagne on each table.

At HIT ON 17 CASINO the world of opportunity is truly at the spin of a wheel or turn of a card.

I love how this turned out, simsample! And of course no Freezer Bunny themed supermarket would be complete without the freezer that started it all

@simsample

Okay, I am obsessed with this. I may have to download a ton of freezer bunny stuff to make my communities more whimsical...

May I ask where the Urbz game rack is from? That game might be my favorite entry in the sims franchise.

Thank you @Corax and thanks again for your help! I'm going to rebuild Sim Sample's Grilled cheese shop very soon too!

Yes, it was a 'Maxoid Monkey' item from the Sims 2 official site:
Sims 2:Official Site Archivewiki
I also recommend the giant scissors, which sims can run with. Warning- not for @AndrewGloria as sims may be hurt or worse!
