Default Dividing world layers in areas instead of type of item.
Hey. Lately (past 2 months), I've been making a medium world, with a downtown area, and harbour, a Malibu-type area, etc, etc. However, I divided the layers in the areas of town

instead of by type of item

I've heard that it's better for performance if decorations, etc, are in their respective layers. Will my world performance be worse because of this, or it's just unproven worry?

I think if you post this under Create/Sims 3/Create-a-World from the menu at the top of this, and every page, you would get intelligent suggestions from world builders.

It's only trees and plants that need to be in their own layer. They will cluster together creating one object per chunk per tree/plant type. Everything else you can divide and organize however you like.
