Ok, I'm not quite sure if this is a mesh problem, but i think so

So, I made optional bangs for my simmies that fit perfectly under a cap or hat,
but the problem is that I want it to dissapear when they wear formal outfits.
Because, as you know, the cap dissapears too.
I have no problems with the other categories, only formal.
Does anyone know if there is an tutorial for this kind of problem?
