Default WCIF Some dark world recommendations.
So I have downloaded some maps like Strangetown & Alpine Meadows & I really like how dark the maps are all the time. I don't know, I just always like dark & cloudy atmosphere. I tried to look up for more on my own & I did not have much success. I found some screenshots of some mods looking like the stuff I'm looking for, but when try it, it's just the mod author took screenshot of their maps at night time instead of what the map actually looks like all the time. So I would like to ask, if any of the people here may have come across such world maps?

Thanks.

I like the ekonika world here plus there are a couple of others: http://eclipse-sims.blogspot.com/2015/12/mundos.html. This creator has a couple of dark worlds/neighborhoods: http://www.thesims3.com/userExchang...assetType=world. This one isn't particularly dark but it's a nice zombie apocalypse world: http://nigalkins.tumblr.com/post/53...alypse-world-by or http://sims3.thesimscatalog.com/sim...edium/roseward/. This Silent Hill world is dark and foggy: http://evinfilms.blogspot.com/2011/...-hill-city.html. Be warned, though, that Silent Hill has a large number of fog emitters on most lots and may require a higher end computer to run. I've seen posts about problems with lag, as well. I haven't played this one but it appears to have a dark/red atmosphere. It is also an apocalypse type world: http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail...ssetId=6260381#. The industrial island here is overcast with muddy water (like Bridgeport): http://myworlds-rflong7.blogspot.com/. Another apocalypse world that looks promising: http://nowa2000.de/sims-3-world/sim...nightmare-city/. Maybe one of these will work for you.

My biggest issue with Dragon Valley is how dark it is all the time. Is that what you mean?

Do you mean Midnight Hollow , Dragon Valley's lighting isn't particularly dark....though I do have a lighting mod in. So maybe its darker than I think it is.

No I mean Dragon Valley. It's super dark for me. Everything looks like it's a permanent twilight.

It's my lighting mod then. I apparently don't remember what the lighting actually looks like.

Sorry, the internet was down for 2 days so I didn't reply back then.
Yes, I have Dragon Valley, it's not dark enough for me. The setting is a bit fantasy for me, I sometimes can't quite comprehend the fashion clashes it gives.

Sorry I lost the internet so i didn't reply earlier.
Cuazard looks like stuff I'm looking for but it's an empty world and too ruin-ey, Ekonika looks pretty good, not sure with the whole living underground.
I like Stoneshield & Grey Meadow from Quaihog, I have mixed feeling about the maps because they are both islands. I don't hate islands, I just tend to run into silly lag later on with islands. Honestly, I'm looking for in land and coastals, really. If you would come across to such maps, that would be excellent.
Roseward and Nightmare City has nice settings but too bright. Silent Hill is bright too, the fog is nice, and as you said, it's laggy.
The rest seems like they will pique my interests in the future, but as of now, I still want some dark maps, and you did helped on some, thank you

I found Drifters End kind of dark and gloomy - although I didn't play it long because I didn't have all the expansions. Here's the link, I believe you have to copy and paste to get to the download page. http://landofwoe.simvalley-realestate.com/

I just check the screenshots
I won't argue, the map layout looks good, but the map is so bright. I can see the gloom but it's still too bright compare to what I'm looking for. I check the forums, it seems a lot of people says Mignight Hallow is dark, I don't have Midnight Hallow so I just checked it & I like he darkness but not a big fan of the architect style. So I'm more into darker, cloudy maps.

You need a lighting mod....https://joanschnitzel.tumblr.com/po...ore-images-here
These are easy to use..just put in your mods folder and you got the kind of atmosphere you want...in ANY world you want.
