Sadly, since EA's bone system changed throughout the years, the plugin is outdated. I would recommend trying to use Milkshape instead to import any GEOM files. I would recommend using this plugin instead:

Though it's almost impossible to use only blender when meshing, If you really wanna mesh with Blender, I would import the GEOM in Milkshape, export it as a OBJ and then import it as a obj in Blender. And after making the changes, I would reimport it as a OBJ in milkshape and give meshtoolkit a try to add the morphs and bones!
Not sure if you have ever worked with meshtoolkit before? ^-^
