Haye Guys!

I recently found a german tutorial (i am german) about unlocking hidden or additional features for CaW. ( link: http://www.simforum.de/showthread.php?t=184622 (in german tho))

Sadly the Tutorial is from 2012 and the steps described in it are not up-to-date. so i´m more or less stuck at step number 8.
I dont know if the hidden features stuff is a real thing or if there is another way to unlock those, but right now i am not able to unlock those.
Can u maybe help me with my problem?

SuperCAW as it's called. It's probably just a translation. I don't know German. If you're on 1.69 patch you shouldn't bothering yourself with this as it's not working with caw. Unless EA or someone from the community has come up with a fix.

What is step 8 about? and what is the hidden feature you're looking for? Perhaps there is another way to get it.

I´m using Sims on 1.67, i knew its not working on the newer versions
i think its not the step itself which is wrong, i just look for a good way and tutorial for how i can unlock SuperCAW ;D
just heard there are tons of new effects and tricks and features. ^^

edit: as u said its the german translation from jawusa.
i´m getting an error while i try to use Turtoise Merge. when i choose the supercaw patch and the project folder it says it´s no working copy.

Hi @Saphrina89, the trouble with compiling your own is that you need the correct version of ILSpy and Tortoisemerge that the patch was made with. That's most likely why you're getting errors. So you're better off just downloading the compiled executable.

The last one that Atavera did was for 1.63, but I believe it works with 1.67.

Just download the compiled exe (SuperCAW compiled) and replace your CAW executable with that (backup the old exe first, in case you want it back!).

the compiled version works but i kinda failed and updated sims to 1.69 so now CAW is broken again :/

is there a way to downgrade to 1.67 or other way to handle that problem? i dont have a CD i do only own a digital copy on origin and it downloads 1.69 directly.
what can i do?

Edit: I have the 1.67 on the PC of my friend, is there a version to move that version on my PC?

You should try the help forum above. There should be lots of people having the same problem you do. Just look among the threads already there. I know someone downloaded the superpatcher and got it to work, but I don't remember the details.

Without pre-2012 discs you are stuck with the 1.69 update. The two options for keeping the 1.67 update are: Use pre-2012 discs for installing your game making sure to be offline so it doesn't automatically install the 1.69 update and patch it manually with the 1.67 SuperPatcher file; buy the game and all of the expansion packs on Steam.

The third option is to wait until EA finishes the update they claim to be working on for CAW that is supposed to make it work with 1.69.

Just a quick note about super caw. All I did was download the compiled version of super caw. Put "world builder.exe" into CAW root directory. Then did the memory aware patch. Then ran the "world builder.exe" instead of Caw.exe. Didn't do anything else. Did not need to delete caw.exe. Just run the world builder instead of caw. Works great. On game patch 1.67 with all expansions.
