I am happily back to playing TS3 for a few years now. I love almost everything but I still can't get used to the lack of sim-to-sim interactions compared to TS2 and TS4. I'm familiar with the famous Adult mod, (idk if I can name it here?) so I know it is entirely possible to create high quality custom animations for sim-to-sim interactions. Do you know where can I find such mods, if there exists any?

And about your suggestion, thanks but I already have that mod, what I’m looking for is more custom animations between sims, like hugging, more dancing etc. Remember how in TS2 we used to have sooo many kissing/hugging interactions? And more games/affection between parents and kids. I’m looking for stuff like that.

I don't know if you are searching only for adult interactions or if you feel like all the life stages are lacking in terms of things to do together, but I will try to link here everything I know about so far. According to your profile, you don't have the Generations EP, though the info might be not up-to-date. Anyway, if you still don't have it, I highly recommend getting it. In terms of interactions, no matter that they are sim-sim or sim-object, that's the expansion best EP to get!

Now, for adults, Dramatic-Gamer has some interesting (and a bit crazy) interaction mods in store for you. One of them even adds more romantic interactions, like, you guessed it, more kisses! And perhaps the part of it is that some of them are returning animations from previous games, so most likely this is what you're searching for. [EDIT] For the games part, I really don't know... Most games in the game are tied to objects, like chess, dominoes, the gnubb set from Ambitions, the horseshoe court and football from Seasons, the frisbee and small ball from University Life, golf driving range from Showtime, the basketball hoop, trampoline from the Store, etc. Or for video games, arcade machines (but the sims can't play those together ) and consoles from various DLCs.

I don't know of any mods that could make adults play children games like tag with their kids, but I do know that they would require new animations, which are pretty rare to come by from the community, as they are not easy to create and they eat up a lot of time.

If a child or a Childish sim initiates the interaction, the animations for adults playing kid games are available in the code already. It would be more of a matter of unlocking them than creating new animations. I don't know if it has been done, but it's not as unlikely as it first seems. It might even be something that you could do by poking around with Retuner.

Adults can play tag with children, as well as play catch, but those kind of interactions may only be available to the child to perform on, meaning that the adults will always be the targets. Boy, I could create a whole lot of new social interactions if I knew how to code, but I just don't have the time to learn :l

Childish sims still have access to them, no matter which age they are. Granted, this would still involve tracking down the bit in the Childish trait that keeps the interactions unlocked and then modifying it so that the interaction is available if the target is a child even if the adult is not Childish. So it would involve a bit of coding, although it seems (on the surface) to be an easier task than learning to write some completely new code would be.

Not that I think it's a simple task. I just don't believe it's impossible.
