How about a link to that laptop for I have never seen a laptop having both a video card and onboard graphics.

If it does have the HD 6990 then your in very good shape.

Marka93 the Intel graphics listed aren't onboard, they're embedded into the CPU itself.

The 6990 should be great for TS3 in theory, in practise however it is known to microstutter. I'll leave it up to you to decide if that's a problem. Otherwise, though, that laptop is great for TS3 - although you could probably get it for half the price if you ditched the Alienware branding.

Nysha the 6990M isn't a dual GPU card like the desktop 6990 so I don't think it suffers from the microstutter problem the desktop card has. It's basically an underclocked desktop 6870.

Oh, thanks for your answers, friends Do you know how much (for example) it could take to load all eps with lots of custom content (~8gb)?

I don't understand your question. What do you mean "how much could it take to load all eps"? How much time?

Yes Can you imagine I'm only about to start playing sims 3 I have so much catching up to do, should I buy all eps? I heard people didn't like Katy Perry ep very much. I'm also wondering how long it will take to adjust to sims 3 and when will I finish exploring all eps, that's so much to do

Well if you're talking about load times, 8GB of custom content and all EPs will definitely take a long time, even with the laptop listed above. You can cut the load times in about half by using a SSD instead of a traditional hard drive.

As for which EPs or SPs to buy... It really depends on you. Maybe read a bit more about them and ask in the Sims 3 discussion forums.
