This thread has gotten to long for me to view from work which is where I mainly view mod the sims from. Right now my family for this challenge is at the far end of my rotation so I haven't had anything to mention for a while. That said I finally posted the first pictures to my LJ this weekend and I just gotta figure out how I'm planning to link them here.

A further upgraded (way upgraded) vesion of this challenge has been released to the public on another thread called It's a Hard Challenge Dang It! If you are interested in a challenge made by The Dragoon13 himself that is litteraly harder then the Legacy, Asylum, and Apocolypse challenges combined. Why!? Because I used only the hardest material from those said challenges, and pushed them to be even harder. My new challenge will last 20 sim generations, so only come if you are VARY patiant.

Obviously, this can be much improved. If I may:

The ultimate Renaissance-sim.
Sim must be female.
Start her off as Knowledge.
Extra credit: start her off in college and be invited into the secret society, the Tri-Var Sorority and have her be the big sim on campus. she must graduate GPA4.0 ofc.
Sim must start with the simoleans granted by the game at the start. Move her into a house she can afford or build one yourself.
Roll dice each start of the day; if a six is rolled, she'll have a romantic evening with a male-sim love-interest. All her woo-hoos must be 'try for baby' or on modded-items that have a risky woo-hoo option. Kids must be raised full term, no sending to college on the first teenage-day.
She can marry, but her spouse must live on free-will and cannot be controlled. (dead-beat husband)
Kids must be raised to have good memories. Social worker is game-over.
Bills must be paid. Repo-man is game-over.
Here goes:
Reach the top of every career,
Get all gold talent badges.
Get all skills.
Get all business perks you can get.
Get all LTW. Meaning you'll have to use the aspiration-changer. Work clockwise from Knowledge.
Get a magic lamp from the gipsy.
Get abducted by Aliens (even if you're female, it's the experience, man, the experience!!)
Collect every piece of furniture, decoration, all Maxis cars including two free-time wrecks, one restored and one still a wreck.
Write at least 50 books and have at least 10 of them betsellers.
Paint at least 50 paintings and have at least 10 masterpieces.
Create every piece of Maxis clothing on the sowing machine, and I mean every.
Do activities that can kill your sim:
Stand outside in a thunderstorm.
Gaze at the clouds or the stars without a telescope.
There are more activities ofc, but these I can think of right now.
Go on all vacations and collect every vacation memento and do everything that can be done on vacations.
Have all service-sims working on your lot at once, including the repairman.
Have at least 50 dreamdates on public lots and at least 50 at home.
Have at least 50 parties.
Raise 50 puppies or kittens and sell them to your friends or in a possible petstore-at-home.
Become a witch and be every alignment at least for five days, or when in college, every allignment for a complete study-year.
Get fired from your jobs by letting the flip of a coin decide your chance-card answer. Never ignore!
Do everything else that you can do but what I didn't mention.

You win if you have done everything and have a million in hard simoleans in the bank. Congratulations, you have arrived at the ultimate renaissance-sim!
You lose if you:
Turn elder.
Die of any reason.
Repo-man comes.
Social worker comes.

This is an extremely hard challenge, I wonder if I can do it?

Is the 25p for the twins born counted on top of 50 for every baby born?
If I have twins, is that 125 (birth+birth+twins), or 75 (birth+twins)?

Are 10p for Every maxed out skill a bonus on top of 1p for Every Skill point?

Default The Eudaimonia Challenge
This challenge is inspired by the Greek concept of eudaimonia, the idea of "human flourishing" or living the best life possible. Although this challenge focuses on one individual sim, it is also a big undertaking and can involve the entire neighborhood. The idea is to pick one ordinary born-in-game sim and make him or her the “chosen one” who will fulfill not one, but all of the possible lifetime wants, and also become wordly by exploring all the corners of the game. I’m halfway through the challenge and so far it has been my most enjoyable experience of several years playing the sims.

You can use a hack or just use the aspiration reward to change their aspiration and reroll a different lifetime want. Since some of the wants, such as the golden anniversary one, are incompatible with other wants such as the romance ones that require a sim to have multiple partners, this challenge requires you to be careful about the order the wants are fulfilled, so for example you would have to fulfill the romance wants before you get married. As another example, it is advantageous to max the skills before you start building talent badges because it speeds the process, and it also helps to have lots of friends before college because then it makes building the greek house very easy. Below I included the plan for fulfilling wants that I have been using so far. The wants on the list are obviously quite arbitrary so they can be rearranged or adjusted as needed.

I like this challenge more than any other challenge because it makes it so you can make an ordinary sim into an extraordinary sim while still having freedom to expand on all the preexisting neighborhood storylines. I would discourage cheating for reasons of enjoyment but I don’t see any problem with using some hacks (I have one to change the number of customers allowed on a business lot, for example) or maxmotives to get the top level businesses.

As a child or teenager:
learn walking, talking, potty training
get into private school
be an overachiever
Have 20 Simultaneous Best Friends (popularity)
win all possible scholarships
Max out 7 Skills (knowledge) including special bookshelf ones

As a college student or unmarried adult:
Own 5 Top-Level Businesses (wealth) (and popularity)
have access to every secret “hobby” lot
have all of the talent badges in gold
Have 20 Simultaneous Lovers (romance)
WooHoo with 20 different Sims (romance)
Have 50 1st Dates (pleasure)
Have 100 Dream Dates (pleasure)
30 simultaneous best friends
join secret society
run max level Greek house
be “big sim on campus”

As an adult:
Reach Golden Anniversary (family)
Graduate 3 Children from College (family)
Marry Off 6 Children (family)
Have 6 Grandchildren (family)
see everything from all three vacation destinations
dig up everything out of the ground, all jewelry/souvenirs
complete bug collection
Earn §100,000 (wealth)
reach top of 25 different careers or all possible careers (means using elixir of life and/or living on a separate lot from the family)
own a helicopter
have one of every career (and aspiration) reward in your house
drink every type of “mouthwatering” juice
have a top level garden with wishing well
sell masterpieces, bestselling novels
See every different color of ghost
Meet and have photo taken with at least one of every “creature” (an alien, a zombie, a vampire, a robot, a werewolf, a plantsim, bigfoot, the genie, and a witch). Bonus if you throw a party and invite them all at once.
Raise 20 Puppies or Kittens (family)
Have 20 Simultaneous Pet Best Friends (popularity)
Have 6 Pets Reach the Top Career Level (wealth)

As a side note, where it says that as a teen the "chosen one" should win all possible scholarships, that doesn't include the ones where you get money for being an orphan or a zombie. In my game I didn't see any need to kill the sim or her parents because that seemed to be contrary to the overall idea of living the "best life possible."

Hey, what's going on....Sorry, I've been gone for eternity....(And yes, I'm the same Dragoon as The Dragoon13, I made this new account for a few reasons, that are at the time unimportant)

On a related subject, I have my own forum now, where I shall begin uploading Sims 2 stuff, and hopefully Sims 3 (Believe it, or not, I still like Sims 2 a lot better) And of course, Minecraft worlds, if anyone here plays that, too.

Now, back to your question...

I generally play a different way with every family I make...

I often make a back story for a Sim BEFORE I make them, in order to have guidelines to play by. In other words, if I were to re-make The Pope as a Sim, I wouldn't make him a Romance Sim, and I wouldn't have him ogle ladies. Or having rich, or over all "popular" sims act snooty, or rude to "commoners".

But, unless I'm specifically playing a challenge, like Serial Killer, Asylum, or Legacy, I generally just do whatever I darn well please.

So while I usually build skills, and "whatnot" I don't do it like an OCD driven maniac that has to have a Sim be as successful as possible, and do everything in life in their life in a timely manner. (So this challenge is a bit hard for me...)

So, now that I'm back, feel free to say stuff, ask more questions, or even join my forum, where I will soon have tons of goodies for Sims, and Minecraft up for Download, all made by me. (And/or my team, that I'm assembling, Dragoon Inc.)

I hate to "self advertise" like this so bluntly, but there's only like...5 people hanging around my place, and two of them enjoy trolling. And...I am desperate to see some fresh faces...

I don't get the point in that at all, since I'm not going to log back into the other one. And even if I did, I wouldn't even know how to do anything bad with the power of two accounts.

But if you insist, I'll go track a moderator down....
