It's a difficult question to ask as I don't know the right terms, so instead I'll ramble to the best of my ability. How do you change the way hair is colored? Okay let me justify that with a pic of some sort:

I found some hair similar to that, but it colors in a specific way in CAS. Wondering if it's possible to change the layering of the way it's colored. Sorry if that's confusing. And thanks in advance for any point in the right direction. I hope it's not too complicated, I'm not too bright at anything past making shirt's with logos. XD

It looks like he may even be retexturing the hair you were thinking about.
