Default Understanding Dx diag
After reading various posts on MTS tech helps forum, EA forums, and other info, I wanted to make sure that I still have a basic understanding of system specs. I am providing the specs for the laptop I'm using. Please note this laptop is not mine (mine gave me the 1 finger salute months ago), but since it's what I have access to I wanted to see what dx diag said. Is there anything I overlooked that I should also pay close attention to? Additional questions are in bold...

Card name: AMD Radeon HD 8400 / R3 Series means it's an "integrated" card?
When I couldn't find the card name on the TS2 & TS3 graphic card charts I went to notebookcheck.net, it said: " similar to some faster Intel HD Graphics 4000 models. This is on par with a dedicated Radeon HD 6490M, but is still too slow for a number of demanding games as of 2013/2014." In other words, can't handle the game?

Depends on what game you're looking to play, the resolution and graphics quality you'll be using.

Your current resolution is 1366x768, which is the lower standard for laptops. Most recommendations assume you'll be gaming at 1920x1080, which requires more processing and graphic power.

With that being said,

yes cpu is rather crappy. It's no good for sims 3 at medium graphics at 1920x1080, but i think you could scrape by with choppy performance at 1366x768 with low graphics. I think it should be okay for the sims 2 though.

Yes you have 4GB of physical RAM. Yes, you only have 3,5GB free for use. usually because the other 0.5GB is already used by essential system processes.

yes direct x 12 is ok.

yes its integrated but not in the way you think. a decade ago when people said "integrated graphics" it mean graphics integrated into the motherboard. times have changed and now "integrated graphics" refers to graphics integrated into the CPU. they are much better than what they used to be, but they are still unsuitable for gaming. you can tell its an integrated graphics not because of the model number of the gpu, but by the model number of the cpu.

notice how your cpu says "APU" in its description. basically an apu is a cpu combined with a somewhat advanced gpu. advance compared to decade old integrated graphics, but garbage compared to dedicated gpus. as far as the sims are concerned, apu are garbage at 1920x1080. at your laptop resolution though you might get playable at low graphics. maybe. if you're lucky.

If you already own the game, it wont hurt to install it and gave it a go. just watch the temperatures. stop if you need to. if youre thinking about buying the sims 3/4 to play on THAT laptop, then dont.
