Baby (infant) gender enforcer/controller/converter
Long time no Simming, friends! Returning after years & freshly installed the UC for the first time.

One thing that has always bothered me is not being able to pick a baby’s gender without hassle. I do not like cheats, am done messing with SimPE, & am impatient. I’d rather a mod or hack do the work for me.
I have beat myself black & blue trying to find one. Anyone know if one was ever created, continued, or if one exists at all?

Thanks, friends! It’s great to be back with all of you creative goof balls.

Edit: PS- I want the gender assigned at birth (i.e. I want the babies to stay babies- not have to age them up to get the gender I desire.)

You can't.

It's a straight 50/50 coin flip. No one has hacked it yet. The only way to control the baby's gender is the good old fashioned "save before birth, check, quit to neighborhood without saving, run the birth again (and again, and again) till you get what you want or give up in despair" method.

Ugly is in the heart of the beholder.
(My simblr isSim Media Res . Widespot,Widespot RFD: The Subhood, and Land Grant University are all available here. In case you care.)

Welcome back! Unfortunately there's no mod like that, not that I heard of anyways.

like I told in other threads, self-pregnancies are the main way to guarantee the gender of a baby. only other way seems to be to "unlink" the father; like how Brandi Broke's pregnancy starts out.

various hacks can change details of pregnancies.

Definitely what I was expecting. Thank you, Peni! I have faith that someday, someone will hack it. It must be super challenging coding or what not...

Thank you! It’s been entirely too long. I can’t believe how much happier I have been since returning to TS2. :lovestruc
I love my bi-genetic babies. Johnny Smith & Erin (Singles) Beaker make the most beautiful spawns!

This is not moddable.

Gender *is* determined at birth, and what do you mean you wait for them to grow up to make them be the gender that you want? Are you changing them with simPE? The way to get the gender you want is to save before a birth, have the baby then if its the wrong gender, exit to hood without saving, reload the lot and let the birth run again. One time it took 8 reloads but it isn't normally that hard.

@SimyourLife please don't triple post, it's against site rules. Unless a post needs bumping (which this doesn't) use the edit button.

Thanks.
However, the WCIF sticky for rules doesn’t say I can’t post replies (just that there is a thread limit) & at the bottom of this page under “Posting Rules” it says that I may post replies. So, ergo, I am confused

P.S. I am using the mobile site.

Posting replies is fine, but generally, you're supposed to wait until someone else replies before you post again. You made posts 5, 6, and 7, but since no one else had commented after you made post 5, you were supposed to edit that post to include anything else you wanted to say, instead of making two more posts all in a row.

11. No Double Posting: Use the edit button - if someone has not replied since you and you have something to add or change in your original post after you've hit reply, use edit.

You were looking at WCIF guidelines.

It's okay to double post if your wcif or help post has dropped off the front page and needs a bump.

It's been awhile since I've saved before birth to get a specific gender. If I remember correctly, if I saved after the sim has started waving their arm, the gender won't change if exiting without saving. I usually kept track of the hours pregnant, then saved before the sim actually got up from what they're doing. Then the exit without save worked fine, although it is random so you may have to do it several or many times til you get the wanted results.

When you forgive, you heal. When you let go, you grow.

I never interpreted that portion of site rules as such because editing personal posts/replies doesn’t notify the specific user that you are replying to them (unless I’m incorrect), hence why I double checked with the WCIF rule sticky.
I do apologize for the unintentional bumps & appreciate the clarification. I will knock that off after this post!

It only notifies someone that you replied to them if you tag them in the post. If someone is really interested in a thread though, they'll come back and look at it again.

being notified from reply; this site I take does not have an option for that. but at least one site does; a non-Sims2 site.
for this site, put @ directly before of the member's name.
