Frankie and Sylvia Marie Mashuga for TS2?
Has anyone created Frankie and Sylvia Marie Mashuga for the Sims 2? I never played the Sims 1 (for PC at least) so I never got to play them, but seeing pictures of them and whatnot, makes me really want to. Thanks!

Dead thread and a void link. There was supposed to have been a "Challenge" thread for "Bring Back the Mashugas", but that's gone too.

There have been attempts to remake them for sims 2 (and 3, and 4), along with their crazy house. Interestingly, no two people remake them quite the same way.

Found a passable Frankie at Garden of Shadows (Conversion Immersion page 4): http://gardenofshadows.org.uk/garde...&topic=29400.45

Sylvia Marie, on the other hand, needs more work and a proper bouffant updo - bandana headwraps are too Hick.

I had a bunch of occupied houses from Sim1 (including this one), but no longer have - sorry. Although occupied houses are a bad idea (unless they are new, made by Creators that know what they are doing!)

Stand up, speak out. Just not to me..

Indeed, marka's versions of Old Town (in his post above, that's the main-hood version in the first link and the subhood version in the second link) are probably my favorite of any work he's ever done. I have never played Sims 1, so I don't know the original Mashugas, but I loved that marka remade not just them and their house but also the whole neighborhood around them. It's a really nice job (marka's got a knack for building TS2 versions of houses and lots from other game versions), and it was my side hood for a while (the one I played when taking a break from the complexity of my uberhood at the time). In fact, if he hadn't posted the links, I would have!

Totes agree. I love Old Town. The subhood version always finds it's way into my hoods. I think he's done a great job with all of them.

As I said, everybody re-creates them differently. (I didn't even leave the original Frankie un-modded - he got a thorough makeover that made him quite a hunk.) One thing I'd like to find for a Sims2 version is a removable kippeh - "my" Frankie is Reform Jewish so would only wear one on formal occasions, but he would wear it then. (There are removable kippehs for Sims3, why not for Sims2? Well, I may have to see how much I remember about using Milkshape....)

Thought I'd found a hairstyle close to Sylvia Marie's bouffant, but when I checked it out in BodyShop, the back was all shaved - what is it with all these skinheaded styles? Am going to hide the Maxis ones and delete the CC ones - feh!

Oh, and thanks for the lead on the site with all the Sims1 walls and stuff.
