Default I can't launch EIG mode
Hello

I have a problem with CAW. When I launch EIG mode, CAW loads for a long time. I see only black screen and loading cursor, and next is the information, that program has stopped working. When I delete my Store items, problem was gone! But I don't want delete Store. Have you any idea? I was try methods from this thread: http://www.modthesims.info/showthre...d=1#post3513489 but no effect.

Sorry for my English.

You have to have under 1GB of store content installed for EIG to work. If you have more than that, it is too much data to load. Read these threads:

@Auntielynds, I have a huge map of downloads (5 gb) and 1,2 gb mods-map and also can't EIG. I've seen your post about this but I don't really understand how you do this. Do you temporally empty your downloads and mods maps so you can EIG?
Or do you temporally cut the DCCache folder so you can run EIG-mode? When you put back the content of those maps (downloads and mods) will TS3 run like it did before without crashing?
this part I really don't understand:
The DCCache
This is where all your .sims3packs are installed into. As you can see from the pic in my previous post, it all gets bundled and compressed into those EBC files. You can keep several of these folders, and swap them out depending on what you're doing. I keep two or three at a time, one with everything installed on it for playing the game, and one with just the EA worlds installed. When I start a new Caw project, I make a copy of the one with the worlds installed, then add whatever else I want to use in the world I'm working on.

How do you know what EBC file contains the CC you need in EIG or the CC you don't need?
Could you please help me?
That would be great!

Could you take me step by step through this proces? Sorry to bother you with this but i'm stuck and a little bit desperate

Hi willemijn
Sure, I can walk you through it.

You can't separate the EBC files, and as far as I know there's no way to know what's in each one.

Here's what I do:
  • Remove my DCCache folder, and my InstalledWorlds folder.
Note: You can just rename these folders ( A_DCCache & A_InstalledWolds) and leave them where they are. The game is still looking for the original name, and will generate a new DCCache folder when it can't find it.
  • Gather the .sims3packs of the items you want to use in your world, and reinstall just these items.
  • If you use CC in .package form, you can just remove what you don't want in the world and set it aside.
  • Go to your DCBackup folder and delete everything but the ccmerged file.
  • Got to your DCCache folder and delete the TMP files.
Note: Check for these little buggers every time you want to go into EIG, they keep regenerating.
  • Now you should be ready to go into EIG. If you're pushing the limits on file size in the DCCache, and you're still having trouble entering EIG, try closing caw after you hit the EIG button, and the program is done saving a backup.

When you're ready to put everything back the way it was, just rename the new DCCache, and InstalledWorlds folders to "B_DCCache" & "B_InstalledWorlds" then take off the "A_" from the original folders, put back your .packages into your mods folder, and you are good to go.

Let me know if you need any clarification on any of this.
