I do not want because if I would do it with save games... and I move my sim family from (ex.) Bridgeport to my custom world - they won't be any sims... I wonder, if there is a mod to move the family (from Bridgeport) to a save game...

Wait, is there a way for changing save games into .world files?

Only way I could think of doing this would be to...

Open up your completed, ready-to-populate world.
Populate it with the Sims you want.
Save the world as a save file.
Then go into the save file your family is from, and save them to the household bin (Whatever that thing is called, I forget).
Copy the populated world save, open it, and put your household in.

Then you could do this for every new save for that world.

I haven't tested this though, so I apologize if it doesn't work!

Does anyone have any specifics on this?

I'm also having the problem where the population is not present after I export and install the world. I tried Save As after adding the population, with the same result--an unpopulated world.
