Default *request* tutorial for hacking objects
Can someone make a tutorial for hacking objects and/or making hacks?

This is a sort of difficult thing to write tutorials about. When you recolor something, you follow the same steps every time. When you hack an object, though, the things that you change and what you change them to are different with every object and depending on what you want the hack to do. Carrigon has made a few attempts at this type of tutorial, but the scope is just so wide.

I feel your pain. I've done 2 small (very small!) hacks, and I'm really very lost in the BHAVs.

There are several people working on programs of different types to make behavior editing easier to follow. We may just have to wait. Beyond that, all I can suggest is trying to ask very specific questions, and trying to compare the behaviors of objects that have been hacked to the originals.
