One Vampire At A Time Part 2: The Path [EDITED]
EDIT: I realize this and the third part of this series of challenges is rather long and difficult, so I'm doing some major editing and rewriting so everything fits together while being as simple as part 1.For part 1 of this challenge, click here
Story: You would think that after graduating from the top school the students of the Vampire Academy had learned all there is to learn about vampires. But, as they are sent out to the real world, they see that nothing is like it was back in school.
For one, those vampires fought and slain in the Academy were your garden variety occult types with the fangs, the pale skin, the hissing, you know. But, those encountered recently are stronger, faster, and...thirstier. However, with the discovery of the new creatures, the students have also found an aspect they've never witnessed before: vampires who refuse to consume human Sim plasma. The thought that they might have killed innocent Sims has sent ripples through the lives of the students and forced them down dramatically different paths.
Goal: Have each student choose between one of the two paths and complete their duties.
Setup: Like last time, there are a few tiny bits to get things started.
Create-a-Sim:
Now that your students are out of the Academy, they can dress how you see fit.
Build/Buy:
The general idea is that there should be a home in Forgotten Hollow to house any Sims you want to stay in the starting home. All rooms found in an average home should be included with the exception of a training room where Sims can hone their Field Work skill requirements. Equally, you shold have a home for Sims who leave the starting lot to fulfill their duties. Both homes should have the Vampire Nexus trait.
Gameplay: You will be given the choice to pick between two paths. Both paths will have a set of rules and gameplay guidelines that will help you through the challenge. All are shown below.
Gameplay:
Your Sims should remain in the starter home and continue life as a hunter and former student of the Vampire Academy. Your Sims can spend their time working to build the skills they need for their jobs if they don't already have them.
When they aren't attending their careers or leveling their skills, students are to travel to Forgotten Hollow and participate in Field Work. Similar to Field Training, only this time, the idea is to cure several vampires in a week, not just one or two.
Sims are expected to encounter the vampires and slay them as often as possible. They should go out to hunt for them at any opportunity. When the time comes to interact with vampire Sims, only mean and mischievous remarks can be made, eventually leading to fights and the vampire being slain at the end of the conversation.
The difference between the 2 paths is that, in Path 1, hunter Sims chose to stay as hunters and keep on fighting despite the knowledge they've acquired. In fact, they have the goal to slay all known vampires in the world. Should any Sims in the household choose the opposite path, the two sides will fight against each other for dominance.
When you have reached a stable point in your Sim's path, say you feel as though your Sim has slain around 15-20 vampires in a matter of 4 weeks, you've gotten them to at least level 5 in their career and may even have a romantic relationship with another Sim, this is the point in the where you should attempt to bring other townies in and teach them the ways of hunters. This path is generational. The leader of the hunters should be memorialized after they pass on each generation.
Rules:
- Clothing and appearance are irrelevant for this path.
- You can use cheats other than those for needs.
- Aspirations should be those that can be achieved in a hunter household.
- Holidays are allowed but cannot exceed more than 4 a season.
- All Sims who choose the opposite path are considered the enemy as they are now consorting with vampires. They must be treated equal to the other vampires.
- Any jobs, including professions, are allowed.
Gameplay:
Your Sims should move out to another home in Forgotten Hollow and learn to live life as a vampire. They should eventually if not immediately gain immortality to ensure complete understanding of the vampire lifestyle.
You can spend their time working to build skills they need for their jobs if they don't already have them. They should spend the time they aren't attending careers or leveling skills trying to befriend the vampire community.
When given the opportunity to interact with vampire Sims, they should only be friendly, funny, or romantic with them. Having children isn't forbidden in a relationship, but should only be done after the student has turned.
The difference between the 2 paths in that Path 2 consists of the students achieving immortality and attempting to convince their fellow students to join them. Actually, these students can go as far as fighting (and winning those fights) and imprisoning the hunters until they comply.
When you've reached a stable point in your Sim's path, say you feel as though your Sim has befriended around 8-10 vampires in a matter of 4 weeks, you have turned at least 2 fellow student(or 1 other, or maybe no other students, depending on how many students you originally had), you've gotten them to at least level 5 in their career and may even have a romantic relationship with another Sim, this is the point in time where you should attempt to start your own vampire family. This path leads to the possibility of becoming the strongest vampires in all of Forgotten Hollow and ending the hunter bloodline.
Rules:
- Aspirations play an important part in a Sim's life just as it does in a hunter's They should be those that a vampire can achieve.
- You can use any cheats besides those for needs.
- Clothing and appearance are very relevant in this path. Students who've chosen this path will become vampires and must refine their appearances.
- Any jobs, including professions, are allowed.
--------
This is the refined version of the second part in this set of challenges. I have toned down the length and several of the rules to be more simple instead of such a complicated chunk of knowledge here and there, I know I've made several of those types and I'm trying to pull back. But, anyway, here is the redo of The Path. Hope you enjoy.
