halp pls
I've never modded anything in my life, but I wanted to make my own CC... when I was younger I loved making Minecraft skins (assuming some modder apps are like that), and I just need to know the basics. If anyone is willing to direct me to something that helps with beginners (I checked the tutorial forum and wiki already), that'd be amazing!! Thank you to anyone who takes time out of their day to help this poor unfortunate soul

There is information about this here and many other places. IMO you need to start and then ask specific questions when you have a problem. And then post in the section that applies to this.

The programs that you're gonna need is Sims4Studio
http://sims4studio.com/board/6/down...io-open-version
and some editing program, like Photoshop, Gimp or anything like that

and I don't know which tutorials you checked, but you should check those after you download Sims4Studio:

The main difference is that Gimp is free
but if you already have Photoshop and know how to use it, I think it would be easier to use..
just don't buy it just for this cause, that's what I'm saying..
it ain't cheap and there are alternatives that can do pretty much the same.
