The Sims Pet Stories

The Sims Pet Stories is the second game in the all-new game series called The Sims Stories.

Train, play, and care for your cats and dogs, and count on many unexpected twists and turns in this easy-to-play, laptop-friendly version of The Sims.

The Sims Pet Stories features two great ways to play. In the new and engaging directed Story mode, you take on a variety of challenges as you compete for 1st place in a local pet show and learn to tame a variety of pet personalities. You even unlock rewards along the way as you achieve set goals. In open-ended Classic mode, you create your Sims and their pets, design their homes, and teach your pets tricks. You decide how their stories unfold.

The Sims Pets Stories is set to be unleashed on 22/06/07.
Key features

* Two complete stories in Directed Story mode - Play as Alice who needs to win the local Dog Show competition (and the large cash prize) with her loveable dog Sam in order to save her house. Or follow Stephen, an executive chef whose highly predictable life is thrown into chaos when he’s forced to take care of his cousin’s spoiled cat, Diva.
* Brand-new Pet Show - Your Sims can train their pets to strut their stuff and earn rewards by getting them to navigate an agility course including walking along a see-saw, running through tunnels, and jumping over obstacles.
* Open-ended Freeplay mode - You create your Sims and their pets (choose from 70 dog and 30 cat breeds), fulfill their desires or dash their hopes, and tell their stories.
* It’s never been easier to play on your laptop - Featuring simple shortcuts and an all-new auto-pause that lets you start and stop easily when opening/closing your laptop.
* Be creative while staying connected - Easily stay in touch with your friends by using your own IM and email while playing the game in its own window.
* Part of a fun new new product line - The Sims Stories also includes The Sims Life Stories and the upcoming The Sims Castaway Stories!

Brand-new Pet Show

What? Dog shows? Is that why maxis didn't add in pets? To sell more pet stories? * extremely deep sigh *

I at least hope they finally have some more toys for the dogs and cats...

Well I didnt like Pets, but this does sound like fun. I think it was a waste as an EP, but maybe as a stand alone game, it may be great.

Man, that's not nice. We need petshows too. Hope they include the option in Bon Voyage...

Default Hmm...
May I actually add that I was very disappointed yesterday, as I bought Pet Stories. You can't actually buy pet-show items in the free-play catalog or the story-mode catalog. You have the teerer-totter and A-Frame given as a gift (If you play on Alice and Sam) but I have only reached chapter 5, so they may become unlocked later in the game.

May I also add that in story mode you cannot take videos or adjust camera settings. The photo's seen whichy are screen size are screenshots taken from the introduction, this is a sample photo...

Thhis is Alices house by the way.

Thanks!

Actually, yes, your Sims *can* buy the items, once you reach free play. Just look in their rewards icons. You'll see story rewards and there will be the unlocked items.

I don't recall whether or not it was this way in Life Stories, since I only played it a couple of times and then uninstalled it.

But the rewards items are accessible to every Sim once you've played the story scenarios all the way through. Just look under the rewards icon.

On Sims Pet Stories, I finished Alice's story all the way, and like on one of the chapters it said Midnight Masquerade (or sumthin) is avalable so after finishing Alice's story. I looked on the main menu (where alice's story is and the town) But I can't find Midnight Masquerade (Stephens story), why is this? Is it my computer or just a game glitch???

Please reply!
