Default Mega/ Uberhood Relationships
For those of ya'll who play mega/ uberhoods do you make any of the ancestors related? If so, who did you pair up together as siblings and/ or children?

I make the current playables related, and I just kind of fudge which dead ancestors would be related, as it hasn't mattered that much for my play.
I know Loki and Erin Beaker, Frances Worthington, and Malcolm Landgraab are cousins, for example, but I can't tell you which of their parents were siblings, other than that at least two have to be the mothers. (It helps that I have Tarlia's pruned hoods so the oldest generations are gone.) Mostly likely all Landgraabs, though, now that I think about it.

I was just curious as to what others did... if anything.. I haven't started playin my mega hood partly as I'm not sure which hoods I want to include ... lol. I don't wanna have an uberhood (one that has every Maxis hood as well as player built ones. I'm thinkin I want to juse play with marka93's beginningPleasantview, Bluewater, Strangetown, and Desiderta Valley. (DV was a late add-on.)

I've found a few places where I could combine sims families. There are a handful of ancestor sims who start out as 2nd generation sims.so makin them be related to 1st generation sims makes things interesting (or well as least to me they do :D)

A few examples are:
Lucy Geike, mother of Chester Geike in BW as the daughter of Les and Kynda Pleasant, sister to Jeff Pleasant, aunt to Daniel and Jennifer Pleasant. Then there's Mary Delarosa, mother of Florence Delarosa of BW. She fits in nicely as the daughter of Benjamin and Susan Burb, sister to Brad and aunt to John Burb. Jacqueline Vandermorgan, mother of Lyla Grunt is the daughter of Malcolm II Landgraab, sister of Malcolm III,

I have more, but that's just a few of what I've done.

Is that due to the, erm, ARISTOCRATIC brow?

I made Chaz Whippler and Marla Biggs siblings. I was going to do something with Castor Nova but I can't remember what... I was also going to have NPC police woman Demi Love as Sarah Love's sister, but I never got round to it. Mostly I kept everything the same.

I made the Goodies the parents of Albany Capp in my uber-hood. Other than that, I haven't actually made any sims from different 'hoods related, although there are a few I've considered. Cyd Roseland and Peter Ottomas as half-brothers. Chester Gieke is clearly related to the Capps in some way. Sarah Love and Jessica Picaso. Loki Beaker and Armand DeBateau. Zoe Zimmerman and Ophelia Nigmos.

Partly. Partly because they're all wealthy families and ought to be highly intermarried.

I've never really made theories on which families were related, I'm a bit of a family tree fanatic and so I'd want every relation to show.

But through using Marka93's Beginning of Pleasantview/Bluewater Village (and now also Strangetown) many families just ended up being related or in-laws. In most cases it's a situation were a cousin of Premade Sim X is married to a cousin of Premade Sim Y.
The most close relationship showed up when I re-created the families from Sims 1(and some from Sims 3). Betty Newbie's sister (Veronica) ended up becoming Mama Hick. I gave Skip Broke an older sister and she grew up to be Ruby-Anne Hatfield. In this universe Gordon king (the Burglar from Canon Pleasantview, and the only townie I recreated through this process) ended up being the son of Brandie Broke's older sister Portia, so him and Dustin are cousins in this version. Since the King family intermarried with the Landgraabs early on, Gordon King is also a Landgraab descendant.
Also Claire Charming was the daughter of Jessie Pilfinger.
From Sims 3, Morgana Wolff is a descendand of the Goth Family (Mortimer and Bella's granddaughter) and Johnny Zest is the estranged uncle of Malcolm Landgraab IV (who's Malcolm Landgraab III in my hood, because I wanted the family tree to start with Malcolm I rather than Malcolm II) and currently the son of this Malcolm III/IV and Cassandra, Malcolm IV/V of course, is married to Jamie Jolina and they are in the process of giving birth to Mimi and Dudley Landgraab from the Console Games (never played them, just found the characters interesting).

The only close relationship between Sims 2 Premades from different hoods I have right now that I can think of is Lilith Pleasant having married Checo Ramirez younger brother Leon, so she's Checo's sister-in-law and Tessa Ramirez' aunt by merriage.
But since Strangetown will be the future of Pleasantview/Bluewater Village in this version there will be some additional relations: one of Dustin and Angela's twin sons will most likely end up marrying Loki Beaker's aunt Freya. Nervous subject will be a descendant of the Crumplebottoms (since I don't wanna mess with Grimmie, I have this storyline of the Crumplebottoms marrying a demon and giving birth to another demon that will be Nervous' father. Still have to think of a proper name for Nervous...) and PT Smith will actually be the grandson of Lucy Gieke (so the nephew of Chester Gieke) who married an Alien Sim I called PT Smith before I decided that I'd add Strangetown to this hood. Lucy and this older PT have half-alien twin boys one of which, Hudson will marry Heather Huffington and give birth to PT Smith from Strangetown (so Heather Huffington will also be PT's mother and Johnny's and Jill's grandmother)
I know it changes the story a little bit, but it explains 1)why PT Smith from Strangetown has hair and 2) Why Johnny and Jill look like 1/4 Alien at most, rather than half-alien.

I used the name Neville. I wanted the name to be close to Nervous and the reason to be called such... Nervous Neville ... (a spin off of a Nervous Nellie).

As for PT Smith, I did a bit of changin there myself. A bit of my head thoughts on this are that the aliens, the Tha'zrian, are a matriarchail society and are slowly dyin do to their two males to 1 female birth rate; Males are always born twins and female babies are singular. Two queens and two consorts (aka colony drones) leave their home world and travel in search of a way to change the Tha'zrian genetics to save their race.

The first queen and her consort, Adria Alpha Queen and Arion 2121, give birth to Genae Gamma Queen.
The second queen and her consort, Bishen Beta Queen and Buric CD1000101, give birth to twin boys Gedion CD65535 and Pollination Technician 7 (father of Flamenco Caliente from PV and grandfather to twins Nina and Dina Caliente.)
Genae Gamma Queen and her consort, Gedion, have twin boys CD11320 and Pollination Technician 9 (father to twins Lola and Chloe Curious.)

CD11320 is an extra sim I added in to keep it as the males always bein twins. With the birth of two sets of twin girls the Tha'zrians head back to their home planet to share their data in the hopes it'll save their race. Before they left, however PT 9 had fallen love with one of the human females and chose to stay behind.

Orphalesion, I use Olivier for Nervous. Masculine in French for Olive, and could mean "Elf Warrior" or "Ancestor's Descendant", depending on which possible etymology you like. See here, click links: http://www.behindthename.com/name/oliver I feel like Grim has been involved in several family trees off and on for a very long time, and the Old Norse meaning is the one that applies to Nervous. Headcannon: Grim is the father of the first Malcolm Landgraab, and has a soft spot for that line still. The current Malcolm has had several near-death experiences thanks to cousin Loki . . . and near-death only thanks to great-great-great-grandfather. This also makes Nervous technically a very-great-uncle of Malcolm, but it's far too distant to count for much.

Thanks but unfortunately the demon is already created and his last name is Specter, he's part of a whole storyline with the Crumplebottoms. His currently in the process of seducing witches and warlocks across the neighbourhood in order to steal their souls (Cowplant+ Drink) Olive will be able to trap him and become pregnant with his son (she think it will create a witch/warlock of immense power) before banishing him back to the nether realm.
I love the name Neville for Nervous though!

I love it. Yeah I also did/am still planning this whole thing with the Aliens. Basically since the birth of the first alien hybrid (the daughter of Castor Nova, I ignored the Caliente's alien heritage) Aliens are out in the open and have evens tarted to migrate to Sim Earth. But right now Aliens, even Earth-born ones and Alien-Sim hybrids are still considered somewhat suspicious and "second class citizens" They are only allowed to work in the entertainment, service, science and education sectors and are barred from all other jobs (including business, military, medicine, politics etc.) and even in their allowed fields not all levels are open to them. For example the PT Smith I mentioned earlier, the one who will be grandfather to the PT Smith of Strangetown, is allowed to work as a University Lecturer in the field of Alien Languages, but he will never be allowed to become Minister of Education. Several rotations from now (by the time Buzz Grunt will be a toddler/young child) I've decided that Sim Nation will enter a war that will see a whole generation of Sims drafted and sent to the front, with heavy losses. This sudden loss of workforce will force the government to lift their restrictions on which fields the Aliens (who are, after all, barred from Military service) will be allowed to work in and eventually lead to a Alien Civil Rights movement that will see them finally receiving full Sim rights.
This will explain why Buzz doesn't like aliens, despite them probably being quite common by the time he'll be an adult. He lost his father in the war and to him it looked like the Aliens were taking advantage of the suffering the war caused to improve their situation.

As I think I mentioned elsewhere, I have an even odder view of Alien society. They have to "do it by threes", and are relatively eusocial: one Birth Queen at a time per ship, a handful of Pollination Technicians, and the majority Colony Drones. The Birth Queens, like insect queens, produce the ova, the Pollination Technicians see to the, ahem, fertilization, and both parties pass the actual gestation/birth buck to the Colony Drones, who, well, they work like seahorses (pouch and all). Try and put that on a bi-valued human ancestry chart!

On first contact the Aliens mistook male Sims for the local version of Colony Drones, because there seemed to be more of them (an optical illusion), and thought they just needed a little "improvement" (i.e. pouches). By the time they figured out their misconception their techniques were so well perfected that they saw no reason to change them. (They have an insta-graft pouch process for the benefit of the rare Colony Drone who fails to develop one, and the technique was readily adaptable to Sims.)

No Alien knows which role it will fill until reaching the equivalent of puberty, so all Alien offspring are raised and educated alike. If it develops into a Birth Queen, she is isolated in the center of the ship with her every want catered to, except that she can never leave the "birth center". A Colony Drone is restricted to this zone only while pregnant, and may be found anywhere else doing anything else the rest of the time. The Pollination Technicians are scientist-specialists, do most of the interfacing with Sims when necessary, and have no other restrictions except that only one of them may leave the ship at any given time.

Stella Terrano wanted to grow up into a Pollination Technician, and was so shocked to find herself developing an ovipositor (designating her as a trainee Birth Queen) that she stole a lifeboat and fled to SimEarth, where she hid among the growing hybrid population. (This has...interesting implications for her future reproductive life, if any.)
