Hello!
I am looking for a "french balcony". Not sure it exist but I will try here after some search. The style I am going for is as modern as possible - no ornaments etc.
I already know about these two..

When you said French balcony, I thought of this http://modthesims.info/d/109316. But it's not the style you want.

The third one pictured in Cyclonesue's window guard set looks similar to your image.

Thanks for the link, though; I'd forgotten what a charming mesh that is.

Thanks anyway @yavannatw !
And a french balcony are just a fence in front of a door - no flooring you can stand on. Well, at least the Swedish dictionary says so. Different meanings in different country's I guess.

That's fascinating. In the southern US, Mexico, and the Caribbean (I can't speak first hand about other places), a French balcony is the term used to describe a fairly narrow, decorative, metalwork balcony that is virtually always at least wide enough to provide a generous plant shelf. Many look like this beauty or this one, but even the wider balconies of New Orleans (in Sims terms, two, three, or even four tiles) are called French balconies. (Can you tell I kinda adore them? )

What makes them "French" (or at least gives them their Gallic je ne sais quoi ) is the delicate metalwork that makes the building look like it's embellished in lace...and gosh darn it, now I'm itching to make a Caribbean/Big Easy vacation destination. I need to find Spanish moss (the same mesh would work well for real bougainvillea which is nothing like that ridiculous pretender the game foisted on us! ) and live oak trees.
