So I understand that there are some sims that shouldn't be revived (like all the ones in Strangetown) because they are a buggy mess, however I read this thread that said even getting Bella into your house can cause corruption which I had no idea Bella capable of doing that to your household. I thought she was a complete sim with character data but this thread indicates otherwise:

They also go on to say that resurrecting base game sims can cause corruption but this thread says otherwise:

Overall what I'm asking is

A. Does resurrecting pre-made dead sims corrupt your hood?
B. If so, which ones do and which ones don't corrupt your hood? Are Darleen Dreamer, Skip Broke, and the dead sims in the Goth House sims with incomplete data?
C. Is making Bella Goth playable a way to corrupt your game?
D. Does this mean the Tricou family is not safe to resurrect? I really wanna play them so bad!

I'm aware that there have been threads about this question in the past but I cant find a clear answer in any of those threads. Some people say its safe, others say its not. If anything I just need some reassurance before I go and resurrect those sims. :D

Unfortunately the answer is Yes for some, No for others.

First of all I'd recommend you use meetme2theriver's fixed neighborhoods here: http://meetme2theriver.livejournal.com/63030.html . The pre-existing corruption has been cleaned up and some other stuff like broken faces has been fixed. Every regular dead sim should be revivable here without causing problems - the only exception I can think of are the ones in Olive Spector's graveyard.

If you're looking for a speicific sim, I'd recommend you to check out their entry on the wiki. Every dead sim has a little box there explaining if and how they can be revived. For example, Darleen Dreamer's entry http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Darleen_Dreamer tells you that she can be revived with the usual methods. Hidden Darleen's entry http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Darleen_Dreamer_(hidden) tells you that she has no character data and can't be revived. (Yes, there are two Darleens. Yes, Maxis made a mess of things.)

In the fixed Pleasantview she's already fixed and can be moved in without any issues.

The Tricous can be revived without any problems. There's even a challenge on here about the Tricou teens reviving their family. The fixed Downtown fixes their genetics to make a blond Fricorith possible, so that's nice to have.

Wow that's interesting. I knew there were two Skip Brokes but two Darleen dreamer? I wonder why maxis made the duplicates I feel as if they weren't necessary. Now resurrecting her feels like I'm not really getting her lol also I had no idea someone made them playable! Awesome thanks for the link! And thanks for clearing up that fuss about whether or not they will ruin my game. I could've sworn I thought maybe that first thread was started by Jo who makes threads here as well (is a site mod here too i think?) So I didn't know whose word to go off of :s

I've resurrected both Skip Broke, AND Darlene Dreamer. So far, everything seems to be ok. That was two months ago.
