Default Adding "DirectoryFiles unpackedmod autoupdate" to Resource.cfg?
I keep seeing "Just add the line "DirectoryFiles unpackedmod autoupdate" to the cfg file and i just wondering where do i add it?

Do I just add a space the put DirectoryFiles unpackedmod autoupdate
i.e.
Priority 500 PackedFile *.package PackedFile *\*.package DirectoryFiles unpackedmod autoupdate

or do I make a new line?
i.e.
Priority 500 PackedFile *.package PackedFile *\*.package
DirectoryFiles unpackedmod autoupdate

or is it something entirely different?

You need to actually make that folder too. It just stays empty. No idea what it's all about lol.

it should work.. as long as you follow mod authors instructions.
Some require that you do not remove their content from the zip file that they put them in.
Be sure to keep that in mind and review their instruction section carefully.

ETA: You have one error that needs correcting. (see below)

This is incorrect. It should be as follows

Priority 500
PackedFile *.package
PackedFile */*.package
DirectoryFiles unpackedmod autoupdate

Ok...what do I do if it's not working?

Priority 500
PackedFile *.package
PackedFile *\*.package
DirectoryFiles unpackedmod autoupdate

I set up the resource file just like that and then added the unpackedmods folder but script mods are still not working in the game. I can see them on the list of mods at the start, and I have them enabled. Is there something I'm missing?

Your Slash is backwards

It needs to be as follows

Priority 500
PackedFile *.package
PackedFile */*.package
DirectoryFiles unpackedmod autoupdate

Mine isn't working either. I'm trying to use the Babies for everyone mod. Did all the steps and it still won't work.

@haunt did you also create an empty folder named unpackedmod
did you read the instruction section of the mod to see if you need to take any additional steps?
Some require extraction from zip files.. and some will not work if you extract them.

@kellybean216
did you also create the empty folder named unpackedmod
did you unzip the file that you downloaded into your mod directory?
you need to extract the package file from the zip file in this case.

@haunt make sure your folder is unpackedmod
and not unpackedmods

in your post you said you made a folder named unpackedmods it should be singular.

Yep. It shows up in unscript mod when I start the game. Still isn't working.
Just to see, I put the whole zip folder in the mods folder and started the game and it shows under the script mod but still doesn't work.

If the mods you are running Script mods then don't unzip the .rar, .winzip, etc. Put the whole package unzipped, in the mods folder.

I think the other mods are tuning mods and they require unzipping, but with the added line in the Resource.cfg file and the empty unpackedmod folder.

Do you have any mods that alter relationships?
AgonisticAgent's mod deals with the XML files that run off the try for baby social interactions and snippets.
If you have something that also alters these xml files, there would be a conflict. (some of the teen/ya romance mods out there would conflict with this for example)

Looking through his comments section.. there is mention that the game needs to be updated for the mod to work correctly. Have you checked to make sure you have the latest patch?
What version number are you running on?

you can find the version number in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin\Default.ini <--- open with notepad and check the top of the third section.
