is anyone else having problems with babies being glitchy scary looking messes? does ea know about it?

I have the same problem and I really hope someone at EA are working on fixing the problem maybe in a patch or something.

That is a known bug, see http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/dis...omment_12569195 – "A fix is being worked on and will be patched to players as soon as possible." Setting your graphics options to "Laptop" may also help.

I am getting a glitch where I do slanted roofs, it freezes then crashes. :/
